Glamping and Campsites Near Ipoh and Around Perak 2026: Six Operators, From RM22 a Head to RM590 a Night

We read the rate pages and live booking engines of six glamping and camping operators in Gopeng, Ipoh and Lenggong on 7 November 2026. A weekday bell tent for two starts at RM198 before tax, a private glamp with its own pool for six is RM530, and a riverside pitch is RM22 a person. Weekend pricing and what counts as "included" vary more than the tents do.

Perak's limestone hills and the Kampar River have turned Gopeng and the edges of Ipoh into a weekend glamping belt for Klang Valley families, about two hours up the North-South Expressway. Most sites are small, family-run and book out on Saturdays, and they price in very different ways: per tent, per person with meals, or per unit with tax added on top.

We read each operator's own rate page or live booking engine on 7 November 2026, using Wednesday 11 November and Saturday 14 November as test dates where an engine allowed it. Prices are what was shown that day, not quotes, and none of the six had a dated promotion running.

What's on this list: four glamping sites (bell tents, domes and tiny houses with beds made up), one private glamp with its own pool, and one plain riverside campsite for people bringing their own tent. Five are in Gopeng or Ipoh and one is in Lenggong, near Tasik Raban. For the cheapest weekday bell tent, start with Gopeng Glamping Park. The comparison table and what the numbers mean for a couple, a family and a group follow the cards.

1
Gopeng Glamping Park, Kampung Chulek

Gopeng Glamping Park, Kampung Chulek

The best-known glamping site in Gopeng, run by Glamping Park Travel and Tour Sdn Bhd, with air-conditioned bell tents, tiny houses with their own bathrooms, a pool and river access. Weekday stays (Sunday to Thursday) are priced per tent with breakfast: Double tent for two RM198, Quad (four, near the river) RM278, Deluxe (eight) RM468, Tiny House Couple RM358 and Family RM488, plus 8% SST, a RM3 nightly charge and RM58 for an extra person. Friday and Saturday nights switch to per-person full board with hi-tea, a BBQ dinner, breakfast, lunch, a campfire and a fire show on Friday to Saturday: RM228 an adult in a Double (minimum two), RM208 in a Quad or Deluxe, and RM118 for children aged 6 to 12. School and public holidays add RM58 a tent a night. Rafting is RM165 a person (minimum three), ATV RM120 a unit and caving RM65 with MyKad. It is halal, with no alcohol, pets, smoking or outside food, and check-in is 3pm to noon. The site warns guests to book only through its own website to avoid scams.

Tingkat Valley, Taman Meru, Ipoh

Tingkat Valley, Taman Meru, Ipoh

The closest to Ipoh city, about seven minutes from the Jelapang exit, run by Tingkat Management (M) Sdn Bhd and billed as a forest-minimalist glamping and chalet retreat around a pond, with a BBQ pit and a kitchen. Its live booking engine for Wednesday 11 November showed the Teratai Tent (up to four, shared bathroom) at RM420 a night and the Kemboja Tent (up to four, private bathroom) at RM480, with taxes added at checkout. Signing up as a member took those to RM399 and RM456. The six-person Keladi Suite was RM740, and its two room types were sold out. The engine shows higher struck-through prices (RM700 and RM800) next to these, with no end date, so treat the lower figure as the normal rate rather than a sale. Breakfast is not stated on the rate, so ask. It costs roughly twice Gopeng's weekday tent, and what you pay for is the setting and the short drive from town.

Himalaya Camp, Gopeng

Himalaya Camp, Gopeng

The pick for a group that wants a unit to itself. Run by Hicamp Sdn Bhd, it rents two private glamps alongside chalets and a campsite. The Everest Glamp sleeps six in three queen beds and a sofa, with a private pool, bathroom, kitchen and BBQ pit, and breakfast for six: RM530 on weekdays and RM590 on Friday and Saturday nights. Top of the World Glamp (THOR) is a rooftop unit with an air-conditioned dome for three and a Naturehike tent for two, a private riverside pool, an outside private toilet, an outdoor kitchen, a BBQ pit and charcoal, a fridge and breakfast for five: RM450 on weekdays and RM520 at weekends, which it takes as an offline request. Both need full payment. During Ramadan rates are 25% lower without breakfast. Check-in is 3pm to 6pm and check-out noon, with no pets or smoking. The campsite page lists power points, shared bathrooms, a surau and 3.5m by 5m pitches, but no price, so ask.

4
Kuak Hill Resort, Lenggong

Kuak Hill Resort, Lenggong

The one with the view: dome tents on raised decks on Bukit Kuak, looking over Tasik Raban and the Titiwangsa range, about an hour and a half north of Ipoh. Run by Kuak Hill Group Sdn Bhd, it has five glampsites plus a Hidden Spot, each for up to four people with fans and a shared bathroom, eight villas, a pool, a rabbit park, BBQ pits and a surau. For Saturday 14 November its booking engine showed Glampsite 4 at RM218 a night room only or RM258 with breakfast for four, Glampsite 3 at RM238 or RM278, the Hidden Spot at RM298 or RM338 and Villa 2 at RM448 or RM488. The rates say nett, but the engine also lists 8% SST and a RM3 charge as additional fees, so check the final total before you pay. Fridays to Sundays and holidays carry a surcharge. There is a RM50 deposit and RM50 for an extra guest, no refunds, and date changes need 14 days' notice.

Hema Camp, Kampung Geruntum, Gopeng

Hema Camp, Kampung Geruntum, Gopeng

A small riverside site at Kampung Geruntum Sungai Itik with both glamping and a plain camping ground, booked through its own page on the GoHub campsite platform. Glamping packages include a Korean pan-grilled dinner and a local breakfast, and are priced per tent: the Vicore Mini Villa is RM520 for two, RM720 for three and RM880 for four, and the Family Package is RM680 for two adults and a child, or RM1,058 for up to three adults and two children. Prices were the same for Wednesday 11 November and Saturday 14 November. The camping ground is RM45 an adult, RM36 for a child aged 4 to 11 and RM150 for a campervan lot, with generator lighting from 7pm to 10pm and campfire wood at RM20 a bundle. Toilets are shared, check-in is 2pm and check-out 11am, and the site holds about 18 people. A travel portal lists it from RM270, which doesn't match the operator's own engine. Nomad Adventure Earth Camp, Kampung Chulek, Gopeng

Nomad Adventure Earth Camp, Kampung Chulek, Gopeng

The budget option and the only pet-friendly site here, from a long-running Gopeng adventure operator. Its own page says plainly that this is not the glamping type: you pitch your own tent, or rent one if available, on the bank of the Kampar River for RM22 a person, with children under five free and up to 35 people. Check-in is after 3pm and check-out 11am. If you want a roof, its cabins are priced per unit: Tampang House (two, shared bathroom) RM80, Stone House (two, air-conditioned, private bathroom) RM120, Matahari Villa (three, en-suite, air-conditioned) RM190, and a dorm at RM65 a person for groups of ten or more. It also sells optional weather insurance at RM15 a person, refunding an activity the trip leader cancels for weather. Its price pages were last updated in 2024 and 2025, so confirm the rate by phone before you drive up.

What the numbers mean for you

The headline prices are hard to compare because the operators count differently. Here is what a night actually costs, using the rates above. Where a site adds 8% SST and a RM3 nightly charge, we have added them.

A couple on a weekday. Gopeng Glamping Park's Double tent is RM198, so about RM216.84 with tax and the RM3 charge, breakfast included. That is the cheapest made-up bed with air-conditioning on this list. Tingkat Valley's Teratai Tent is RM420 before tax, and Hema's two-person glamp is RM520 with dinner thrown in.

A couple on a Saturday. Gopeng switches to per-person full board: two adults in a Double are RM456, or about RM495.48 with SST and the RM3 charge, but that covers four meals each, a campfire and the fire show. If you would rather cook or eat out, Kuak Hill's RM218 glampsite works out cheaper, though it is a longer drive and has a fan, not air-conditioning.

A family of four. Kuak Hill's Glampsite 4 with breakfast is RM258, or about RM281.64 if the SST and RM3 charge it lists are added. Gopeng's Quad tent is RM278 on a weekday before tax.

A group of six. Himalaya Camp's Everest Glamp at RM530 on a weekday is about RM88 a person with breakfast, a private pool and nobody else's tents next to yours. At RM590 on a Friday or Saturday it is still under RM100 a head.

Bringing your own tent. Nomad charges RM22 a person and takes pets; Hema charges RM45 an adult with a lit, shared camping ground.

Before you book

Read the cancellation terms. Kuak Hill and Hema don't refund, and both need 14 days' notice to change dates. Himalaya Camp takes full payment upfront.

November is wet in Perak. None of these operators publishes a monsoon closure, but Gopeng's sites sit on the Kampar River. Gopeng Glamping Park's activity terms let the trip leader cancel rafting for weather, river level or lightning, and then offer a new date, a six-month credit, or a refund minus 10% if cancelled the day before or 30% on the day. Nomad sells weather insurance for RM15 a person. Pack for rain, and avoid riverside pitches after a heavy downpour.

Check what's in the price. Breakfast, SST, the RM3 nightly charge, holiday surcharges and extra-person fees are where totals creep up. Gopeng adds RM58 a tent on school and public holidays; Kuak Hill and Tingkat add surcharges at weekends.

Book direct. Gopeng Glamping Park warns of scam pages using its name, and one travel portal lists Hema from RM270 when its own engine shows RM520 for two. Each card above links the operator's official site.

Halal and couples. Gopeng Glamping Park is halal and does not allow non-mahram Muslim couples to share a tent. Other sites don't state a policy, so ask if it matters.

How to pick

If you want air-conditioning and the lowest price, go to Gopeng Glamping Park on a weekday. For a Saturday with every meal sorted and something for the kids, its weekend full-board package is the simplest. Kuak Hill has the best view for the money if you don't mind the drive and a fan. Groups of five or six get the most privacy per ringgit at Himalaya Camp. Tingkat Valley suits a short getaway close to Ipoh's food, and Nomad suits people with their own gear and a dog.
