> Quick view: Sushiro Sunway Pyramid's RM5.80 Chutoro ended on Wednesday 30 September 2026 and has not been extended. In its place, Sushiro is running Mori Mori Matsuri at all three Malaysian stores, Sunway Pyramid included, from 1 October to 3 November 2026. It is a 20-item menu, but only two plates are actually discounted: Aburi Salmon Belly with Basil Cheese and Aburi Shrimp with Basil Cheese, each RM5.80 instead of RM7.80.

We re-read Sushiro Malaysia's own promo listing and its Grand Menu on 3 October. The Sunway Pyramid Grand Opening campaign is listed with a 30 September 2026 end date, and nothing new has been posted for that store alone. The Grand Menu still lists Medium Fatty Bluefin Tuna (Chutoro) on the gold RM10.80 plate and Fatty Bluefin Tuna (Otoro) on the black RM15.80 plate, so those are the prices to expect now.

The only campaign added since September is Mori Mori Matsuri, posted on 1 October. Its poster footer reads "Available At All Stores", so the store-against-store split that ran through September (one menu at Sunway Pyramid, a different one at Suria KLCC and 1 Utama) is over.

The two plates that are actually cheaper

Mori Mori Matsuri prints a price against all 20 items, which makes the whole poster look like a sale. It is not. Compare each figure with Sushiro's standing Grand Menu and 18 of them land exactly on an ordinary plate tier: RM5.80, RM7.80, RM12.80 or RM15.80.

Two do not. Aburi Salmon Belly with Basil Cheese and Aburi Shrimp with Basil Cheese both sit on the Grand Menu's RM7.80 plate, and the October poster prints RM7.80 with a line through it and RM5.80 beside it. That is RM2.00 off each plate, just over 25 per cent, for the full 1 October to 3 November run.

At RM5.80 those two now cost the same as a plate of plain Maguro or Fresh Salmon. If you like torched salmon belly, this is the line on the poster worth acting on.

What the rest of the menu is for

"Mori mori" means heaped up, and the other 18 items are about size rather than price. The value is in what you get for an ordinary plate price, not in a discount.

  • Gunkan Trio, RM5.80: one each of tuna salad, minced tuna and sweet corn salad. The Grand Menu sells each of those as its own RM5.80 gunkan plate, so the trio is a way to try all three for the price of one plate.
  • Salmon Trout Trio, RM7.80: fresh, soy-marinated and sesame-marinated salmon trout on one plate.
  • Jumbo Crab Stick Tempura Nigiri, RM5.80, 1 to 20 October only: about 12cm of fried crab stick. The Grand Menu's regular Crab Stick Tempura is also a RM5.80 plate, so this is a bigger piece at the same price.
  • Jumbo Squid Tempura Nigiri, RM7.80, 21 October to 3 November only: takes over from the crab stick.
  • Seafood Mountain and Jumbo Surf Clam Combo, RM15.80 each: the top-tier plates. Seafood Mountain piles salmon belly, tuna, crab meat and ikura; the clam combo pairs fresh and aburi surf clam.
  • Classic Orange Sherbet, RM6.00: the one price on the poster that sits outside the usual tiers.

The kids' set, and the dates that matter

Create Your Own Sushiro Kids Set is RM15.80 and runs only 26 to 31 October 2026. Children assemble their own sushi from salmon trout, crab stick, tuna salad, cucumber, tamagoyaki and shrimp. It runs only six days, Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October, so the Saturday is the one weekend chance.

Three windows sit inside the headline dates:

  • 1 to 20 October: Jumbo Crab Stick Tempura Nigiri.
  • 21 October to 3 November: Jumbo Squid Tempura Nigiri.
  • 26 to 31 October: the Kids Set.

So the 20 items are never all on the belt at once. If the crab stick is the one you want, go before Tuesday 20 October.

What it costs in practice

For two people: two plates each of the two basil-cheese aburi items (four plates) is RM23.20, against RM31.20 at Grand Menu prices, so RM8.00 saved. Add a Seafood Mountain (RM15.80) and a Gunkan Trio (RM5.80) to share and the bill is RM44.80 before SST and service charge.

For comparison, the September Sunway Pyramid deal saved RM5.00 on every chutoro plate. October's best saving is RM2.00 a plate, so go for the menu, not because it is a bargain.

Where the three stores are

All three are in the Klang Valley. The addresses and hours below are from Sushiro's own store list.

All three open 10:00am to 10:00pm, with last orders at 9:30pm. The Grand Menu carries a QR code for booking a seat through Sushiro's app, which is worth using at weekends.

Who should go, and who should skip

Go if you were already planning a Sushiro meal before 3 November and like aburi salmon belly or shrimp. The two RM5.80 plates are a real if modest cut, and the jumbo pieces are a fair reason to try something new.

Skip a special trip if it was the cheap tuna that made Sunway Pyramid worth the drive. That was a grand-opening price and it has ended; chutoro is RM10.80 again at every store.

The fine print in one place

The poster says the offer runs 1 October to 3 November 2026 and is available at all stores. Prices are subject to SST and service charges, and images are for illustration only. Sushiro's listing mentions no stock limit for this campaign, but popular items on a conveyor belt can run out late in the evening, so ask at the counter if something is missing.

The Grand Menu is marked "No Pork No Lard" on both pages. Sushiro has not published a halal certificate with these campaign materials, so if certification is what you need, check JAKIM's register and ask at the store.
