What is actually live at Nilai and Seremban right now

COURTS' own catalogue index lists Big Brands Big Savings (West Malaysia) as the current appliance and electronics catalogue, dated 27 August to 30 September 2026 on its own cover. It is a 12-page book covering LG, Panasonic, Sharp, Samsung, Hisense, Midea, ELBA, Philips, Pensonic, Khind, Faber, Toshiba, La Gourmet, Brother and Shogun — televisions, fridges, washers, aircond and small kitchen appliances. Nilai and Seremban are standard COURTS branches in West Malaysia, so this is the sheet their price tags come off.

Three claims sit on the cover: savings of more than RM1,000 on selected lines, free delivery and installation, and aircond installation "as low as RM9". All three are real, but two of them are narrower than they look — see below.

Running alongside it is Jualan Muhibbah, also dated 27 August to 30 September 2026, which is COURTS' furniture and bedding campaign.

The four price layers, in the order they apply

A single item in this catalogue can carry up to four separate numbers, and they stack in a fixed order:

  • Normal Price — the shelf price, printed struck through
  • Member Price — the campaign price, and the one advertised in large red type. It requires a homeclub membership, which is free to sign up for and comes with a RM20 cash voucher
  • Big Rebate — an extra column that appears only on some aircond, washer and fridge lines, ranging from RM150 to RM450 in this book
  • SPayLater — up to 10% off at checkout, capped at RM150 and requiring a minimum spend of RM500

The RM500 minimum on SPayLater is the detail most people miss: on a single small appliance the extra 10% simply does not trigger. The RM150 cap means it stops growing above roughly RM1,500 of spend.

Separately, the catalogue offers 0% interest instalments up to 60 months through EZ Payment. The "Monthly RM…" figures printed next to each item are calculated on a terms rate charge of 1.25% over 60 months, per the catalogue's own footnote — they are not the item price divided by 60.

Aircond installation: RM9 is a Hisense number

The cover says "as low as RM9", and the catalogue pages show why "as low as" is doing the work. Installation is priced per brand:

  • Hisense — PWP (purchase-with-purchase) RM9 installation, badged on the AS10X6HBA / AS13X6HBA / AS20X6HBA / AS25X6HBA range and the AI20KAGS / AI25KAGS range
  • LG — RM16.90 installation with the purchase of any LG inverter aircond
  • Sharp — RM59 installation with the purchase of any Sharp inverter aircond

So the difference between the cheapest and dearest installation on the same campaign is RM50. If installation cost is what decides your brand, that is worth knowing before you walk in.

Worked examples from the catalogue

Real member prices in the West Malaysia book, with the arithmetic done:

  • La Gourmet AF04 4L air fryer — member RM199, normal RM499. At RM199 you are under the RM500 SPayLater minimum, so no extra 10%.
  • La Gourmet RC40GR 1.5L jar rice cooker — member RM259, normal RM699.
  • Shogun 28cm wok (LGMCWSG422453) — member RM159, normal RM439. Put all three in one basket and you are at RM617, which clears RM500: SPayLater then takes RM61.70 off, for RM555.30.
  • Hisense AS13X6HBA 1.5HP inverter aircond — member RM2,299 against a normal price of RM2,599, plus a RM250 Big Rebate and RM9 installation. Net of the rebate that is about RM2,058 installed, against RM2,599 before the campaign.
  • Hisense WD90N1B 9kg+6kg washer-dryer — member RM1,529, normal RM2,299, plus a RM250 rebate.
  • Samsung RS70F65KNFME 660L side-by-side fridge — member RM5,299, normal RM7,099, plus a RM450 rebate, listed at RM155 monthly.
  • LG 85NU855BPSA 85in 4K TV — member RM6,099, normal RM7,599.

The rebate column is printed as a figure, not as a discounted price, so confirm at the counter whether it comes off the bill or is claimed afterwards.

West Malaysia is on the cheaper sheet

COURTS publishes Big Brands Big Savings as two separate books, one for West Malaysia and one for East Malaysia, with the same cover, the same dates and the same struck-through normal prices — but not the same member prices. On identical SKUs the West Malaysia edition, which is the one Nilai and Seremban use, comes in lower:

  • 20cm frypan, normal RM129 — RM49 in West Malaysia, RM51 in East Malaysia
  • Saucepan with glass lid, normal RM169 — RM65, against RM68
  • Shogun 20cm wok LGMCWSG430144, normal RM199 — RM75, against RM78
  • Shogun 28cm wok LGMCWSG422453, normal RM439 — RM159, against RM165
  • La Gourmet AF04 air fryer, normal RM499 — RM199, against RM207
  • La Gourmet RC40GR rice cooker, normal RM699 — RM259, against RM269

The gaps are small in ringgit but consistent in direction, and they matter if you are comparing a price someone quoted you from Sabah or Sarawak.

Jualan Muhibbah is the furniture campaign — but check which catalogue you are reading

The Jualan Muhibbah banner runs on COURTS' national homepage with the same 27 August to 30 September 2026 window, promising free delivery and installation and guaranteed EZ Payment approval. On the catalogue index, however, the only Jualan Muhibbah book published is labelled East Malaysia — its sofa, dining, mattress and bedroom-set prices are the East Malaysian ones. West Malaysia has no matching Muhibbah catalogue on the index at the time of writing, so if you are pricing furniture at Nilai or Seremban, treat the Muhibbah book as a guide to what the campaign covers and ask in store for the West Malaysia price.

The two Negeri Sembilan stores, and the opening-hours problem

Both are standard branches carrying appliances, IT and furniture — neither is an outlet or clearance store — so nationwide campaigns apply at both.

Do not trust a single line of the store locator on opening hours. COURTS' locator page renders several stacked copies of its regional store tables, and they contradict each other: across the page Nilai appears as 10.00am-9.00pm and as 10.00am-10.00pm, while Seremban appears as 10.00am-10.00pm, as 10.00am-9.00pm, and as Mon-Fri 11.00am-9.30pm with Sat-Sun 10.00am-9.30pm. The newest-looking block — the one with a Direction column and a Nojima tab — puts both at Mon-Sun, 10.00am to 10.00pm. If you are making a special trip, email the branch or call the hotline on 03-3000 8998 (Monday to Sunday including public holidays, 10am to 7pm) first.

Things still on courts.com.my that have already ended

The site keeps retired pages live, so a link that loads is not proof a deal is running. As of 11 September 2026:

  • The /av-fair-2026 page is still up and still carries "IT Brand Fair, 5-29 July 2026" artwork, above a live grid of laptops marked "Special Price"
  • The homepage side banner still advertises a Members' Exclusive Deal dated 25 June to 29 July 2026
  • The catalogue index still lists a Sofa and Bed catalogue that opens on a Bedding Fair dated 28 August to 24 September 2025 — a year old

Check the dates printed on the catalogue cover itself, not the page it is linked from.

The Wave Your Finger extra 11%, for the record

This article originally tracked a short state-election promotion. It has ended, and here is what it was, in case another state goes to the polls:

  • Johor, 11 July 2026 — branded "Jom Mengundi", on selected small appliances from RM300
  • Negeri Sembilan, 1-3 August 2026 — branded "Wave Your Finger", extra 11% off selected small appliances and IT accessories at Nilai and Seremban only

Both runs were state-specific and lasted two or three days, at the branches in the state that was voting rather than nationwide, and covered selected small appliances and IT accessories rather than the full range. Despite the name, the Negeri Sembilan listing published no requirement to show an inked voting finger, and no minimum spend. There is no announced next run.

Also gone: the 8.8 Super Sale (6-12 August 2026) and Jualan Gemilang, COURTS' Merdeka sale (30 July to 26 August 2026).

How to play this one

  • Sign up for homeclub before you buy anything — it is free, the catalogue prices are member prices, and you get a RM20 cash voucher on joining
  • Work out whether your basket clears RM500 before counting on the SPayLater 10%, and remember it stops at RM150 off
  • If you are buying aircond, price the installation as part of the deal: Hisense RM9, LG RM16.90, Sharp RM59
  • Ask whether the Big Rebate comes off the bill at the counter or is claimed later
  • The campaign ends 30 September 2026; there is no announced successor yet
