> Quick view: Emart's Purchase With Purchase list runs 1 to 30 September 2026 at 12 Sarawak outlets, which leaves ten days. Spend RM120 in one receipt as a member, then buy one item off an 18-line list at a fixed price. The prices are genuinely low. The ceiling is also low, because it is one item per receipt, and the receipt has to be from that same day.

What the offer actually is

Emart's September poster is headed PWP, Purchase With Purchase, and the mechanic is printed on it in one sentence: with a minimum storewide purchase of RM120 (members only) in a single receipt, customers are entitled to purchase one (1) of the item below at a special price. Under that sits a line most people scroll past: only same-day receipts are valid for this PWP promotion.

This is not a campaign Emart invented for September. The member benefits page on Emart's own supermarket site lists "Purchase With Purchase Privilege" as a standing perk, worded as purchase RM120 and above in a single receipt to join the Purchase with Purchase promotion. What changes each month is the list of items, and for September that list has 18 lines.

The 18 items and the prices Emart printed

Food and household staples first, cheapest last:

  • Milo Refill Pack, 1.8kg: RM34.99
  • Red Eagle Cooking Oil, 5kg: RM32.99
  • Fumakilla aerosol insecticide, 600ml x 2: RM13.99
  • Darlie Double Action toothpaste, assorted, 2 x 140g or 175g: RM12.99

  • Gold Coin Kopi and Teh Tarik sweetened creamer, 2.5kg: RM11.99

  • Sun Valley cordial, assorted flavours, 2L: RM9.99
  • Ajax Fabuloso floor cleaner, assorted variants, 2L: RM9.99
  • Mi Rakyat Kosong, 1100g: RM8.99
  • Premier Kitchen Towel, 6 rolls x 60 sheets: RM7.99
  • Munchy's Lexus, assorted flavours, 189g to 200g: RM3.99

Then six lines of EMY, Emart's own house brand, all non-food:

The split is worth noticing. Half the list is a weekly-shop item you were going to buy anyway. The other half is homeware you were not, which is the point of a PWP: it is a way of moving house-brand stock at a price that only exists once you have already filled a trolley.

The seven outlets where it does not work

The poster's footer is the part that gets lost when a photo is forwarded. It reads: applicable at all Emart Sarawak outlets only, except Goceli, all Emart Express, Emart Batu Niah and Sabah outlets.

Emart's own promotions page carries the eligibility list in its markup, and it resolves to exactly 12 stores. In and around Kuching: Matang, Batu Kawa, Tabuan Jaya, Sejingkat, Moyan, King Centre and Boulevard. In Kota Samarahan: Summer Mall and Taman Berlian. In Miri: Tudan and Riam. Plus Bintulu.

That leaves seven of Emart's trading outlets out. Goceli Supermarket at The Hills, the three Emart Xpress and Express shops at Demak Laut, Sukma Ria and Bulatan, Emart Supermarket Batu Niah, and both Sabah stores, Emart Supermarket Lintas Jaya and Emart Express Bundusan. If you shop in Kota Kinabalu or Penampang, this promotion is not yours, and no amount of spending gets you onto it.

One oddity is worth flagging before you plan a trip. Emart Taman Berlian is on the PWP eligibility list, but it is not on the Locate Us page of Emart's supermarket site, which lists 18 outlets and stops. Emart's corporate site calls Taman Berlian its 19th outlet, a two-storey store in Kota Samarahan. The store is real and eligible; the directory simply has not caught up.

Are the prices any good?

This is where honesty is easier than arithmetic, because Emart's online store returns no results for any of these products. The eStore search is empty, so there is no Emart shelf price to compare a PWP price against. Anyone quoting you a percentage off is guessing.

Two kinds of check are possible instead. The first is Emart against Emart. Mi Rakyat Kosong 1100g appears on the September PWP list at RM8.99 and on Emart's own 18 to 20 September weekend flyer at a member price of RM9.99. So the PWP price beat an already discounted member price by a ringgit on that line, in the same shops, in the same week.

The second is Emart against a grocer that does publish prices. Checked on 20 September 2026, Jaya Grocer in the Klang Valley lists the Milo Activ-Go 1.8kg softpack at RM42.50, Red Eagle 5kg at RM36.90, and Ajax Fabuloso 2L at RM15.60. Against RM34.99, RM32.99 and RM9.99, the PWP prices are lower by RM7.51, RM3.91 and RM5.61. Jaya Grocer is a premium grocer and it is on the wrong side of the South China Sea, so treat those gaps as indicative rather than exact. The direction is safe, though: Sarawak shelf prices generally run above Peninsular ones, so a Sarawak comparison would widen these gaps, not close them.

There was a second PWP list running at the same time

If you went in over the 18 to 20 September weekend and the PWP shelf did not match the poster you had seen, you were not imagining it. Emart's weekend flyer for Kuching, Samarahan, Miri and Bintulu carried its own PWP strip, on the same RM120 member threshold, with six entirely different items: Maggi Chilli Sauce 500g at RM3.99, Naturel blend, canola or sunflower cooking oil 3kg at RM25.99, 100 Plus Original 24 x 325ml at RM30.99, Vinda Deluxe Kitchen Towel 6 x 80's at RM15.99, Harpic toilet cleaner 2 x 500ml or 450ml at RM7.99, and Colgate toothpaste 175g x 2 at RM12.99.

That flyer has now expired, but the lesson holds for the rest of the month. Emart runs more than one PWP list at a time and the weekend one can be the better of the two. Look at the board at the entrance before you decide which item to claim, rather than walking in with a screenshot from three weeks ago.

The membership, priced

The PWP is members only, so here is what the card costs, taken from Emart's own member terms. Registration is RM10 for a new applicant, renewal is RM10, and a lost or damaged card costs RM10 to replace. All payments are non-refundable. Membership is valid for one year from issue, with a three month grace period to renew after it expires, after which earned points are forfeited. Applications are open to anyone aged 16 and above, one membership per person, and you can register online for a virtual card or at any customer service counter with your IC.

The points are modest and you should price them as such. Every RM3 spent earns 1 point, points do not expire while the card is active, and 500 points redeems an Emart RM5 gift voucher. That works out to RM1,500 of spending for RM5 back, about a third of one per cent. The better lines are the RM10 birthday voucher, issued in the window seven days either side of your birthday and redeemable on a minimum RM100 single receipt, and double points on Emart's own brand products. On the PWP alone, one Milo refill claimed at RM34.99 would cover a year's RM10 membership several times over, if the comparison prices above are anywhere near your usual shop.

The same receipt is also a lucky draw ticket

Two Emart campaigns end on the same day, and one RM120 receipt can serve both.

The Emart 21st Anniversary Lucky Draw runs 1 July to 30 September 2026. Every single receipt of RM100 and above is one entry for an active member, so more qualifying receipts mean more entries. The steps Emart publishes are to spend the RM100, download and register on the emart MY app, like the Emart Malaysia Facebook page, then verify the contest form at the membership counter. The physical receipt goes into the draw box at the outlet and counts only for that week's cycle. Receipts not drawn in a weekly round are pooled into the Final Grand Draw, while a receipt that already won a weekly prize is taken out of the final pool entirely. Emart's status table shows weeks one to nine complete and week ten running.

The final draw is in October 2026. The prize board is three Proton e.MAS 5, one Ogawa massage chair, one iPhone Pro Series, one Sony 75 inch Bravia smart TV, two Toshiba load washers, five Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 and sixteen RM200 Emart cash vouchers, with the weekend flyer putting total prizes at RM500,000. For scale on the grand prize, Proton's own East Malaysia price list, version August 2026, puts the e.MAS 5 Prime at RM62,800 on the road without insurance, with a special launch price of RM59,800, and the Premium at RM75,800 and RM72,800. Emart has not said which variant it is giving away.

One important difference between the two offers: the lucky draw counts receipts from any Emart Supermarket, Express, Goceli or DEQLO outlet, while the PWP does not. So a Sabah or Emart Express receipt is worthless for the PWP shelf and still perfectly good for the draw box. Prizes must be claimed within 45 days of being contacted, and winners are announced on the Emart Malaysia Facebook page.

Who this is for, and who should skip it

It suits a household that already does a full weekly shop at one of the 12 eligible stores and crosses RM120 without trying. For them the PWP is free money on one line, and the sensible move is to claim whichever item has the biggest gap against what they normally pay, which on this list is most likely the Milo refill, the Red Eagle 5kg or the Ajax Fabuloso.

Skip it if you are being tempted into a bigger basket to reach RM120. Padding a RM90 shop with RM30 of things you did not need, to save perhaps RM5 on one item, is a loss. Skip it too if you are shopping at an Emart Express for convenience, or anywhere in Sabah, because the shelf simply will not honour it.

Fine print worth knowing

The RM120 is a storewide minimum in one receipt, and the poster does not spell out whether the PWP item's own price counts towards that RM120. The safe assumption is that it does not, and it is a fair question to ask at the counter before the cashier rings it up. Only same-day receipts qualify, so combining two days of shopping does not work, and neither does going back with yesterday's slip.

You may buy one item, singular. Two PWP items means two separate qualifying receipts. Emart's weekend flyers also carry general limits that are worth expecting on any promotion day: member price items limited to two units or kilos per day, a maximum of two member cards per customer per transaction, and the right to reject bulk purchases. The PWP poster itself closes with the usual T and Cs apply, and the list is only guaranteed while stocks last.
