What ended, and the trap on FamilyMart's own page

Two offers this article used to lead with are over:

  • The Tanjung Lumpur opening promotion ran 28 July to 23 August 2026: 25% off selected Sofuto soft-serve, beverages, frappé and coffee for app members, walk-in only, at that one outlet.
  • All-Day Jimat Deals — sandwiches and breakfast muffins RM4.90, selected onigiri RM3.90, a lemonade RM1.90 at set hours — ran 8 July to 31 August 2026.

The trap: when we checked FamilyMart's promotions page on 11 September 2026, the Jimat Deals block was still published under "HOT DEALS", its own fine print still reading "valid from 8 July 2026 – 31 Aug 2026". It is on the page, but it is not on the shelf. Go by the printed date, not by whether the poster is still up.

All 11 FamilyMart outlets in Kuantan, and their hours

FamilyMart's store locator (its data file was last updated on 10 September 2026) lists 11 outlets in Kuantan district and 28 across Pahang, and none of them carries a temporary-closure date. Here they are, grouped by how late they stay open.

Open through the night at weekends:

  • Riverfront Kuantan — Bangunan Lama MPK, Jalan Tanah Putih, 25100 Kuantan. Mon–Fri 6am–2am; Sat–Sun 24 hours.
  • Petron Indera Sempurna — at the Petron station, Mukim Penor, Kuantan. Mon–Fri 6am–2am; Sat, Sun and public holidays 24 hours.

Open to 2am every day:

  • KotaSas — R-15, Tasek Commercial Centre, Kota Sultan Ahmad Shah, 25200 Kuantan. 6am–2am daily.

Open to 1am every day:

  • Tanjung Lumpur DT — PT88930, Jalan Bandar Putra, 26060 Kuantan. 6am–1am.
  • IM8 — B138 & B140, Lorong IM 8/33, Jalan Sungai Lembing, Bandar Indera Mahkota 8, 25200 Kuantan. 6am–1am.
  • Jalan Beserah — B-272, Ground Floor, Jalan Beserah, 25300 Kuantan. 6am–1am.
  • Caltex Kuantan ByPass (run by Seng Group) — Kampung Batu Tujuh, 25150 Kuantan. 6am–1am.
  • Kuantan Perdana — A-7, Ground Floor, Jalan Tun Ismail 1, 25000 Kuantan. 7am–1am.
  • Taman Tas — B-24, Lorong Pandan Damai 2/201, Taman Tas, 25150 Kuantan. 7am–1am.
  • Balok Sentral — Lot 5 & 6, Mukim Sungai Kaang, Kuantan. 7am–1am.
  • Teluk Cempedak — Unit 1, Ground Floor, the shoplex at Pantai Teluk Chempedak, 25050 Kuantan. 7am–1am.

Three practical points fall out of that list:

  • Earliest coffee: seven outlets open at 6am — Riverfront, Petron Indera Sempurna, KotaSas, Tanjung Lumpur, IM8, Jalan Beserah and Caltex ByPass. Kuantan Perdana, Taman Tas, Balok Sentral and Teluk Cempedak open an hour later, at 7am.
  • Malaysia Day, Wednesday 16 September 2026: Petron Indera Sempurna's 24-hour line covers public holidays. The locator gives Riverfront 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday only, with no public-holiday line, so plan on its usual 2am close that Wednesday. On the holiday night, Petron Indera Sempurna is the Kuantan outlet to count on.
  • The beach stop: Teluk Cempedak is the outlet at the beach, and it closes at 1am like most of the list.

The "DT" in the Tanjung Lumpur name is FamilyMart's own drive-thru designation. FamilyMart has published nothing on whether the lane itself operates; every deal below is a counter deal, so it makes no difference to them.

Heading south to Pekan, the locator lists two more: Anjung Warisan on Jalan Sultan Abdullah (7am–1am) and Peramu, in front of Fresh Choice (6am–2am).

What every Kuantan outlet runs now

FamilyMart's promotions carry an "except KLIA2 & Genting" exclusion. None of Kuantan's 11 outlets falls under it, so everything below applies at all of them. Each item was checked on FamilyMart's promotions page or its campaign artwork on 11 September 2026.

Merdeka Deals — the one with a deadline, 22 September

The Merdeka Deals artwork is dated 5 August – 22 September 2026 and is split into three tiers: Exclusive Merch (up to 25% off), Member-Only Deals (up to 43% off) and PWP with Any Purchase (up to 38% off). Those are "up to" figures printed on the tier headers, not typical cuts. Our item-by-item breakdown of the Merdeka sheet back-solves every printed saving and shows where the big numbers actually land. This is the only item in this section with a hard end date.

Oden FAMee — RM4.90 for soup and noodles

Any of five soup bases — Spicy Mala (three heat levels), Classic Fishball, Sukiyaki, Spicy Korean and Tom Yum — plus any noodle is RM4.90. The signature dipping sauce is RM2.50 extra. Members collect one stamp per Oden purchase, and five stamps earn a RM5 off Oden voucher.

Worked example: five paid bowls cost 5 × RM4.90 = RM24.50, and the RM5 voucher then covers a sixth RM4.90 bowl. That is six bowls for RM24.50, about RM4.08 a bowl, provided you actually come back to use the voucher.

Rasa Kopitiam — the FamilyMart x Oriental Kopi range

The prices are published on FamilyMart's page:

  • Curry Laksa Noodle — RM13.90
  • Hainanese Chicken Rice — RM13.90
  • Pandan Kaya Mochi Bun — RM4.90
  • Pandan Kaya Cheese Bun — RM3.50
  • Royal Chocolate Crunchy Cream Bun — RM5.30
  • Crunchy Peanut Chocolate Sando — RM7.50

Members get 2X FamiPoints on the range and a free Oriental Kopi toothpick set while stocks last. These prices apply to in-store purchases only, not online orders. Do the maths before lunch: a laksa plus a kaya cheese bun is RM17.40, while an Oden bowl is RM4.90. The Rasa Kopitiam range is the treat; Oden is the budget meal.

Sofuto: White Coffee and Cookies & Cream

Two soft-serve flavours are current — White Coffee Sofuto, a Merdeka release, and Cookies & Cream Sofuto — each as cone, cup, milkshake or pint, and both earn 2X FamiPoints for members. Neither poster prints a price, so check the counter board. This is the product family the expired Tanjung Lumpur promo discounted: the 25% is gone, the points multiplier is not.

If your birthday is this month, FamilyMart's app page lists birthday vouchers among its member rewards, and deal sites report the September edition as a free Sofuto for app members born in September, redeemable any time in the birthday month. Check the voucher tab in the app rather than asking at the counter.

Miniature Model

The member-exclusive FamilyMart Miniature Model is RM26.90 each, or any two for RM44.90. Against RM53.80 for two singles, the pair saves RM8.90. In-store only.

The standing offer that beats every campaign

FamiDeals are prepaid drink bundles sold inside the MY FamilyMart app, and they carry no end date. FamilyMart's own link page still headlines them as "Up to 33% OFF FamiDeals!":

  • Café Beverages: Buy 5 Free 1, or Buy 40 Free 20
  • Frappé: Buy 5 Free 1, or Buy 30 Free 10

The maths: Buy 40 Free 20 gives you 60 drinks for the price of 40, so each costs two-thirds of the shelf price — 33% off. Buy 30 Free 10 works out to 25% off, and Buy 5 Free 1 to about 17% off. The old Tanjung Lumpur opening promo was 25% off, at one store, for four weeks. The large Café Beverages bundle beats it at every outlet, with no deadline.

The trade-off is paying for 40 drinks up front, so start with Buy 5 Free 1 and see whether you finish it. The old short link to the FamiDeals page now leads to a "not found" page, so buy through the app itself.

If you're chasing a current opening promo

FamilyMart gives each new outlet a roughly four-week, one-store, 25%-off-for-members opening promotion. The most recent one we could find is at FamilyMart Damansara Perdana in Petaling Jaya (Lot G-1, Perdana The Place, Jalan PJU 8/5g; 7am–12am daily, per the locator), reported as 25% off Sofuto, Frappé and Coffee from 19 August to 13 September 2026. That is in the Klang Valley, and it ends on Sunday. As of 11 September 2026 we found no announced FamilyMart opening in Pahang. FamilyMart announces openings on its social pages, not its promotions page, so that is where the next one will show up.

The fine print that catches people

  • "Except KLIA2 & Genting" is printed on Oden FAMee, Rasa Kopitiam and the Miniature Model. It doesn't touch Kuantan, but it does apply if you stop for snacks on the way up to Genting.
  • Several offers are in-store only — the Rasa Kopitiam prices and the Miniature Model say so explicitly.
  • Member items, the birthday voucher and FamiDeals all need the free MY FamilyMart app.
  • Everything is subject to in-store stock, and Sofuto flavours and Oden bases vary by outlet.

How to pick

  • Need somewhere open at 3am on a Saturday? Riverfront Kuantan or Petron Indera Sempurna, the only two Kuantan outlets that run through the night. On Malaysia Day, count on Petron Indera Sempurna.
  • Early start? Any of the seven 6am outlets; Kuantan Perdana, Taman Tas, Balok Sentral and Teluk Cempedak don't open until 7am.
  • Hot meal under RM5? Oden FAMee, and keep the stamp card.
  • Buying Merdeka items? Do it before 22 September.
  • Regular FamilyMart coffee drinker? A FamiDeals bundle: up to 33% off, no deadline.
  • Live near Tanjung Lumpur? It is a normal 6am–1am outlet now, with no reason left to cross town for it.
