> Quick view: Resorts World Genting sells a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket for RM65 to anyone who shows a Kad Pekerja MADANI at the ticketing counter. It runs 1 January to 31 December 2026, it is counter-only, and it is limited to one ticket per card per day. Against RWG's own published rates it saves RM103 on the walk-in price and RM23 on the advance online price.

Almost every price at Genting Highlands is built to punish you for turning up without a booking. Genting SkyWorlds publishes RM88 for a Malaysian adult who buys at least one day ahead and RM168 for the same adult who walks up to the counter on the day. The gap is RM80 for the identical seat on the identical ride. Every rate card on the hill is arranged to make advance booking the obvious answer.

There is exactly one published exception, and Resorts World Genting has parked it quietly on its Hot Deals page under the name 2026 GSW x Malaysia Madani Offer. Show a Kad Pekerja MADANI at the Genting SkyWorlds ticketing counter and the 1-Day Standard Ticket is RM65. No advance booking, no app, no promo code. It is the only counter price at the park that beats the online price, and it runs to the last day of the year.

What RWG is actually offering

The offer page is short and specific, and it is worth reading exactly as written rather than as a headline. RWG lists the product as the Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket, the price as RM65, the channel as onsite via ticketing counter only, the validity as 1 January to 31 December 2026, and the eligibility as guests with a Kad Pekerja MADANI.

That is the whole mechanic. There is no minimum spend, no bundle, no hotel booking attached and no window inside the year when it switches off. What the page does add is a set of conditions that matter more than they look, and we come back to those below.

What the same day costs everyone else

The table above is every published route to one adult day at the park, read off RWG's own pages this run. Two things jump out.

The first is that RM65 is not the cheapest ticket at Genting SkyWorlds. RWG runs a separate Pahang Citizen Rate at RM38 for the Standard 1-Day Ticket, walk-in only, bought at the ticketing counter or a self-service kiosk. If you hold a Pahang MyKad, the workers' card offer is RM27 worse than the rate you already have, and you should ignore it entirely.

The second is that RM65 happens to be the same number a foreign child pays. The Non-Malaysian rate card prices a child between 90cm and 110cm, a senior or a guest with a disability at RM65. So the card buys a Malaysian union member an adult ticket at the concession price a visiting family pays for a toddler. That is not a marketing line RWG uses anywhere. It is simply what the three rate cards say when you put them side by side.

Working out whether it is worth the trip to the counter

The saving depends entirely on what you would otherwise have done, so here are the four cases with real numbers.

You decided to go this morning. Without the card you pay the walk-in rate of RM168. With it you pay RM65. That is RM103 saved, the biggest version of this deal, and the case the offer is really built for.

You would have booked online the night before. Your alternative was RM88. The card takes you to RM65, so you save RM23 and you give up the ability to lock in a date in advance. Worth doing, but it is a modest saving rather than a transformation.

Two adults, one card between you. One ticket per card per day means the second adult still pays a normal rate. Booked ahead that is RM65 plus RM88 = RM153 against RM176 for two online tickets, so the household saves the same RM23. If the second adult also holds a card, you each queue with your own and pay RM130 for the pair.

Family of three, one card, one small child. A 90cm to 110cm child, a senior or a guest with a disability is RM38 on the Malaysian rate card, and RWG prints that concession across both the online and the walk-in column, so it is RM38 either way. Card holder plus one adult booked ahead plus one child works out to RM65 plus RM88 plus RM38 = RM191. One window to watch: for visit dates 14 October to 15 November 2026, the Malaysian rate card lists only the Standard ticket (still RM88 online and RM168 walk-in, but bundled with one free snack and one bottle of mineral water), and it marks the RM38 concession row as valid on all visit dates except those five weeks. It does not print a child or senior price for that window, so call Guest Services before you price a family day then. The MADANI offer page itself is unchanged and runs to 31 December.

You go five times a year. Five RM65 tickets is RM325. The Malaysian Unlimited Pass is RM308 for 365 days from activation, and it carries 10% off selected retail and F&B and 20% off selected tickets bought on-site. The crossover lands on the fifth visit, so anyone treating Genting SkyWorlds as a regular outing should buy the pass and stop thinking about single tickets. Existing Malaysian pass holders can renew for RM215, applying within 30 days before their current pass expires.

The fine print that trips people up

RWG's terms for this offer are unusually blunt, and four lines in them do real work.

  • The counter is the only channel. The offer page says onsite via ticketing counter only. Note that the Pahang Citizen Rate explicitly allows a self-service kiosk and this one does not, so join the human queue.
  • No card, no price. Guests must present the Kad Pekerja MADANI at the ticketing counter for verification, and RWG states plainly that anyone who cannot prove or present the card will not be eligible.
  • One ticket per card per day. This is the line that stops the offer becoming a family discount. It caps the benefit at one person.
  • No stacking, and no GemTreats. The offer is not valid with any other ongoing promotion, offer or discount, and it cannot be redeemed using GemTreats. RWG also publishes the RM10 F&B or retail e-voucher as a benefit of walk-in Standard Ticket purchases specifically, and the MADANI offer page does not mention it, so do not count on getting one.

Two more practical points sit outside the offer terms. RWG reserves the right to request additional proof of identity and to revise the terms at any time without notice. And the park itself is closed every Tuesday except on Malaysian national public holidays and school holidays, which is the single most common way a trip to Genting Highlands goes wrong. Genting SkyWorlds links a month-by-month calendar of the Tuesdays it does open from its Park Hours page, but the published months run only a short way ahead, so if your date is a Tuesday, check that calendar and then call Guest Services on +603-6105 9829 during park hours rather than assuming. Park hours themselves are 10am to 6pm daily, re-checked against Genting SkyWorlds' own rate card and park-hours notes on 30 September 2026.

What the card is, and how you get one

Kad Pekerja MADANI is a Ministry of Human Resources initiative launched around Labour Day 2025. The National Security Council's own public explainer describes it as a digital card exclusive to members of registered trade unions, offering discounts of up to 30% at more than 100 partner companies across Malaysia, covering groceries, clothing, food, travel and accommodation.

Eligibility is narrow and worth being honest about: you must be a Malaysian citizen and a member of a registered trade union. There is no income test, but there is a union test, and that is the part most readers will fail. Applications go through kadpekerjamadani.mohr.gov.my, where you log in, choose the apply option and complete your details, and the ministry lists kadpekerjamadani@mohr.gov.my for questions.

If you are already a union member, this is a card you probably have sitting unused. Genting is only one name on a partner list that runs past a hundred, and RM103 off a single theme park ticket is a decent argument for digging it out.

The second thing the card does on the same hill

The RM65 ticket is not the only MADANI rate at Resorts World Genting, and the second one is easier to use because it has no counter queue and no one-per-day cap. RWG runs a separate MADANI Workers' Privilege giving 20% off food and beverage at 36 participating outlets across the resort, and a card holder heading to Genting SkyWorlds anyway will almost certainly walk past several of them.

The participating list spans Genting Grand (The Bakery, Lobby Lounge, Coffee Terrace, The Olive), Highlands Hotel (Old Friends Restaurant, Lao Di Fang, Genting Secret Garden Hotpot), First World Hotel (Lobby Cafe, The Junction), the SkyAvenue complex (High Line Rooftop Market, Motorino, Jom Makan Food Street, Malaysian Food Street, Yesteryear, Harry Ramsden, Taiko Ramen, Burger & Lobster, La Fiesta by Martha's Kitchen, Park Avenue Lounge, Jom Makan SkyAvenue, FUHU Restaurant & Bar), Grand Cha Chaan Teng in SkyCasino via the non-casino entrance, the food counters inside Skytropolis, the Zouk outlets (Redtail, Redtail Karaoke, Empire), Cloud 9 at Genting Grand, and five outlets at Resorts World Awana.

One detail is worth reading twice, because it differs from the ticket offer. The F&B privilege says to present the physical Madani Workers Card at the payment counter. The ticket offer asks you to present the card at the ticketing counter without specifying physical or digital. If you have only ever used the card in digital form, ask before you order rather than at the point of paying. RWG also notes the participating outlet list may change.

Put the two together and a union member's day looks different: RM65 at the gate instead of RM168, then 20% off lunch at one of the SkyAvenue food streets on the way out. Re-verified on RWG's own MADANI Workers' Privilege page on 30 September 2026.

Who should take this, and who should skip it

Take it if you are a union member who was going to visit anyway and who does not hold a Pahang MyKad. The RM65 counter price is the best deal available to you, and it removes the usual penalty for deciding late.

Skip it if you hold a Pahang MyKad. RM38 walk-in is RM27 cheaper and it is available at kiosks as well as the counter.

Skip it if you visit often. At five visits the RM308 Unlimited Pass overtakes it, and the pass adds discounts on food, retail and on-site tickets that a single-day ticket does not.

Skip it if you are buying for a group. One ticket per card per day means the rest of the party pays normal rates, so build the trip around the RM88 advance online price and treat the RM65 as one seat that happens to be cheaper.

Getting there

Genting SkyWorlds sits at Resorts World Genting in Genting Highlands, Pahang, about an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur, and the park runs 10am to 6pm daily with that Tuesday closure. One timing warning if you were planning to ride up rather than drive: RWG has posted a maintenance closure for the Genting SkyWay cable car from 5 to 9 October 2026, and for the Awana SkyWay from 12 to 16 October 2026. If your trip falls in either window, plan on the bus or the drive up.
