> Quick view: from 27 October to 26 November 2026, Haidilao runs two Johor Bahru-only (新山限定) Buy 1 Free 1 deals, Monday to Friday, all day. One is on its Snowflake Wagyu Beef half portion at RM52; the other is on two HECHÁ Da Hong Pao teas at RM6.90 a cup. Diners in Kuala Lumpur, Penang or anywhere else outside JB cannot use them.
Premium beef is where a Haidilao bill climbs fastest, because one marbled plate costs as much as several vegetable plates. A Buy 1 Free 1 on the wagyu itself is therefore worth more than a free side dish. Haidilao's own posters for both deals carry the "新山限定" (Johor Bahru exclusive) stamp, the dates and the fine print, and we have built this guide from them.
How it works, step by step
- Go on a weekday. Both deals run Monday to Friday, all day, from 27 October to 26 November 2026. Saturday and Sunday are excluded.
- Pick a participating JB outlet. The wagyu deal is listed for Haidilao Zenith Mall (Zenith Suasana Iskandar, Jalan Trus, in JB city centre), Haidilao Sutera Mall (Skudai) and Haidilao AEON Mall Tebrau City. The tea deal is listed for Zenith Mall and Sutera Mall only.
- Order the Snowflake Wagyu Beef (雪花和牛) as a half portion. The poster prices the half portion at RM52. Order one and a second half portion comes free.
- Add the teas if you want them. Order a Da Hong Pao Milk Tea (大红袍鲜奶茶) or a Da Hong Pao Lemon Tea (大红袍柠檬茶) at RM6.90 and a second cup is free.
- Do not hand over a voucher for these items. The small print says the wagyu deal cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, vouchers or cash coupons.
What you actually pay
- Two people, one wagyu deal. RM52 for two half portions, which is RM26 per half portion instead of RM52, a saving of RM52.
- Two people, wagyu and tea. RM52 plus RM6.90 for two teas gives RM58.90 for two half portions of wagyu and two drinks. Broths, other dishes, the sauce bar and tax are on top.
- Four colleagues at a Thursday lunch. Two wagyu deals (RM104 for four half portions) and two tea deals (RM13.80 for four cups) come to RM117.80, or about RM29.45 each before the rest of the meal.
- The same table on a Saturday. No deal. Four half portions at RM52 each would cost RM208, and four teas RM27.60.
Who it is good for, and who can skip it
Good for: JB office workers who can fit in a weekday lunch or dinner, students and shift workers with weekday free time, and Singapore visitors who cross on a weekday rather than at the weekend. Couples get the most out of it, because one Buy 1 Free 1 gives each person a full half portion of the beef.
Skip it if you can only eat out at weekends, you live outside Johor Bahru (the deal is not offered elsewhere), or you need a halal meal, since Haidilao's menu includes pork. Diners who never order premium beef will not save much; the teas alone are a small saving.
Fine print that trips people up
- Half portion only. The deal is on the RM52 half portion. A full portion of the same beef does not qualify.
- Four-portion cap. The poster limits the deal to 4 portions per customer (限点4份). It does not say whether the free portions count toward the four, so ask your server before ordering for a big table.
- No stacking. It cannot be used with other ongoing promotions, discounts, vouchers or cash coupons. That includes Haidilao's nationwide RM108 Light & Energising Set, which runs to 9 November.
- Public holidays are not addressed. Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November and Monday 9 November is a replacement holiday in most states. The poster only says Monday to Friday, so call your outlet if you plan to go that day.
- Tea outlets are narrower. The tea deal is listed for Zenith Mall and Sutera Mall, not AEON Mall Tebrau City.
- Pictures are illustrative. The poster notes the actual plate may look different.
