> Quick view: Harvey Norman's Sarawak WOW Sale runs from 8 to 14 October 2026 at its three Sarawak stores in Kuching, Miri and Bintulu. The campaign page lists 300 discounted items, from RM24 cables to an RM11,997 LG OLED. The 12 posters Harvey Norman put on Facebook carry the sharpest prices, and on most models we matched they sit below the website. Write down the poster price before you go, and ask the store to match whichever is lower.

What Harvey Norman announced

Harvey Norman Malaysia posted the sale on its Facebook page, inviting shoppers to "a Sarawak shopping spree" with up to 75% off from 8 to 14 October 2026 at the participating stores in Miri, Kuching and Bintulu. The campaign page on harveynorman.com.my carries the same dates. Its terms say the featured promotions are valid for in-store and online purchases at Harvey Norman Vivacity Megamall Kuching, Harvey Norman Miri Times Square and Harvey Norman The Spring Bintulu, are limited and subject to stock, and can be amended without notice.

Those are the only Harvey Norman stores in Sarawak, so this is effectively the chain's state-wide sale. It overlaps with the nationwide 10.10 Sale Comes Early (5 to 11 October), but it runs three days longer and, on the posters, goes deeper.

How big is the sale, really?

We pulled all 300 listings from the campaign page on 10 October. Every one carries the "Sarawak WOW Sale!" tag. The discounts run from 2.9% to 74.1%, with a median of 25%. 68 items are at least half off, but only four pass 70%, and those are three Tucano laptop sleeves at RM49 and an Elecom FireWire cable at RM24. So "up to 75%" is technically true, just not on anything big.

The largest groups are wall art (25 items), cushions (24), TVs (16), wireless headphones (14), laptops (13) and phones (12). Air conditioners, fridges and washing machines are there too, but in smaller numbers.

Poster price vs website price

This is the part that can save or cost you real money. We matched each poster model against its website listing on 10 October:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 FE 512GB: poster RM2,299 (RM191.58 x 12 months), website RM2,599. Poster cheaper by RM300.
  • Honor X9d 5G 256GB: poster RM997 (RM166.17 x 6 months, limited stock), website RM1,477. Poster cheaper by RM480. The poster also offers 512GB for RM300 more (RM1,297), against RM1,777 online.
  • HP Smart Tank 580 printer: poster RM399, limited to 20 units, website RM549.
  • Napure Merkel mattress: queen poster RM5,849, website RM7,309; king poster RM6,699, website RM8,379. That is RM1,460 and RM1,680.
  • Philips CX5535 tower fan: poster RM277, website RM291.
  • Tefal RK7301 1L rice cooker: RM198 in both places.
  • Samsung RT-31CG5022B1ME 305L fridge: poster RM1,597, website RM1,551. Here the website wins by RM46.

Four poster deals are not in the online listing at all, so treat them as store-only: the Haier 1.0HP inverter aircond (HS-10VRB06) at RM1,259 (was RM2,069), the OPPO Reno 16F 256GB at RM1,997 (was RM2,299), the Cosmo L-shape full leather sofa at RM3,996 (was RM10,000, 10 units) and the Bayliss marble-top dining table at RM1,991 (was RM6,786, 10 units). The bedroom package of a Zory adjustable bed frame plus Musterring Flexi Breno super single mattress is RM6,999 a set; the mattress alone is RM4,739 online.

Worked examples

Setting up a first flat in Bintulu: the Samsung 305L fridge at the website's RM1,551, the Tefal rice cooker at RM198 and the Philips tower fan at the poster's RM277 come to RM2,026. At the printed was-prices (RM2,399, RM349 and RM429) that is RM3,177, so you save RM1,151, but only if you ask for the lower of the two prices on the fridge and the fan.

A phone upgrade in Kuching: the S25 FE 512GB at the poster price is RM2,299, or RM191.58 a month for 12 months. Pay the website price instead and the same phone costs RM300 more.

A new mattress in Miri: the Napure Merkel queen at RM5,849 works out to RM162.47 a month over 36 months. The same mattress at the online price is RM7,309, which is roughly nine extra monthly payments.

Other prices worth knowing

From the online listing on 10 October: Samsung 65-inch MiniLED M70H TV RM2,997 (was RM3,999), LG 48-inch OLED C6 RM4,997 (was RM6,999), Hisense 65-inch U6S MiniLED RM4,297 (was RM5,999), Sharp 1.0HP inverter aircond RM1,348 (was RM1,759), Haier 1.5HP inverter aircond RM1,539 (was RM2,159), LG 9kg top-load washer RM999 (was RM1,299) and Tefal 6L Easy Fry air fryer RM386 (was RM829). Some listings also carry a brand rider on top, such as LG's Celebrate A Better Home rebates, a Sony RM400 instant rebate, or the 10.10 RM100 + RM100 instant rebate on phones with a minimum spend.

Who it is good for, and who should skip it

It suits Sarawak households replacing a big item this month, especially a mattress, phone or aircond, where the poster prices are hundreds of ringgit below the website. It is also handy for students and small offices in Kuching and Miri stocking up on printers, ink and laptop accessories.

Skip it if you mainly want a TV. None of the 12 posters features a TV, and the 16 TVs online run 4% to 30% off, apart from the Sony Bravia 8 OLED at 39%, so compare against the nationwide 10.10 listing before you drive to the mall. Shoppers outside Sarawak should look at the national sale instead.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Seven days only. The sale ends on Wednesday 14 October. Limited-unit items (the 10-unit sofa and dining table, the 20-unit printer, and the "limited stock" Honor X9d) can go before then.
  • Two prices for one model. Bring a screenshot of the poster and of the website listing, and ask staff to honour the lower one. Do not assume the shelf tag matches either.
  • Instalments have conditions. 0% for up to 60 months on major banks' credit cards applies for a limited period only; AEON Credit goes up to 48 months. A minimum financing amount and product exclusions apply.
  • Was-prices are not consistent. The Tefal rice cooker shows "was RM349" on the poster and "was RM339" online. Judge the deal by the price you pay, not the percentage.
