> Quick view: Hatten Hotel Melaka is turning its suites and shared spaces into gallery rooms for Ahlfah! Melaka! 2026, a Korean contemporary art fair run with Nabiplex Inc. The public fair runs 6 to 8 November 2026 on Level 12, entry RM28. Two room offers come with it: RM275 a night with breakfast for two, or a 2-night package from RM608 with fair passes. The RM275 rate is the better buy for most people, and Friday 6 November is the night it saves the most.

What the hotel is offering

Hatten Hotel published two offers on its own Ahlfah! Melaka! Room Promotion page. We then read live prices in ringgit for two adults on the hotel's booking engine on 21 October 2026.

  1. Daily Stay Special Rate: RM275 a night, including buffet breakfast for two. The offer page says it is valid for stays from 4 to 8 November 2026. The hotel's own Book Now button opens the engine with the code AHLFAH26-FIT already filled in. It shows the rate for a Junior Suite and a Deluxe Suite, both at RM275.
  2. 2-Night Korean Art Fair Event Package, valid for stays 4 to 6 November: Junior Suite RM608 or Deluxe Suite RM628 for the two nights. It includes daily breakfast for two, free entry to the art fair for two, and access to the After Party at Alto Sky Lounge with one drink each for two adults. On the engine it appears as "Korean Art Room Promotion" at RM304 a night (Junior Suite) and RM314 a night (Deluxe Suite), with a two-night minimum.

Which nights actually sell

This is where the offer page and the booking engine part ways:

  • RM275 rate: sold on the nights of Wednesday 4, Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November. On Saturday 7 November the Junior Suite showed sold out and the Deluxe Suite said "Limited availability, please contact us". Sunday 8 November showed no rate at all.
  • 2-night package: priced only on the nights of 4 and 5 November. In practice that means check in Wednesday 4 and check out Friday 6.
  • The struck-through prices the engine shows next to RM275 are the normal breakfast rates: Junior Suite RM360 on Wednesday and Thursday and RM420 on Friday, Deluxe Suite RM390 and RM450.

Saturday is the tight night across the whole hotel. Without the code, the Studio Suite Twin and Deluxe Suite were unavailable and the Junior Suite was sold out. The cheapest Saturday room with breakfast we could see was a Deluxe Suite Twin at RM450.

The art fair itself

Ahlfah! Melaka! brings Korean galleries and artists into hotel suites on Level 12. Visitors walk room to room, which is closer to a gallery crawl than a convention hall. Public hours:

  • Friday 6 November: 12pm to 8pm
  • Saturday 7 November: 11am to 8pm
  • Sunday 8 November: 11am to 4pm

Entry is RM28 per person. A VIP invitation at RM98 gets you into the private preview on Thursday 5 November, plus a dinner and a DJ after-party. VIP is by expression of interest on the fair page, and the hotel's team contacts you to confirm. Everyone else can simply turn up.

Worked examples

Couple, Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 November, Junior Suite with breakfast

  • Package: RM608, fair passes and two after-party drinks included.
  • RM275 rate: 2 x RM275 = RM550, plus two fair passes at RM56 = RM606.
  • Normal breakfast rate: 2 x RM360 = RM720, plus RM56 = RM776.

The package and the RM275 rate cost almost the same. The RM2 difference buys the after-party drinks. In a Deluxe Suite the package is RM628, so the RM275 route (RM606) is RM22 cheaper, minus the drinks. Either way you save about RM170 against the normal rate.

Couple who want the fair on a weekend: Friday 6 November, one night

RM275 against RM420 (Junior Suite) or RM450 (Deluxe Suite) with breakfast. That is RM145 to RM175 saved on one night. Check in Friday afternoon, see the fair before it closes at 8pm, and go back Saturday morning if you want a second look. Your total for the night and two passes is RM331.

Deepavali long weekend, Saturday 7 to Monday 9 November

Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November and Melaka observes the replacement holiday on Monday 9 November. Neither offer covers Sunday night on the engine, and Saturday is nearly full. Expect normal weekend prices: the Junior Suite with breakfast was RM420 for Sunday 8 November. If these are your dates, book now or call the hotel.

Who it suits, and who should skip it

Good for: couples and friends who want a midweek Melaka break at a fair suite price, Korean-art and K-culture fans, and anyone driving down from the Klang Valley or Singapore who can take Friday off. The RM275 rate does not require you to visit the fair. It is simply a cheap Friday night at this hotel.

Skip it if: you can only travel on Saturday, or you want a bargain over the Deepavali Sunday and Monday. Neither offer was selling those nights on 21 October.

Fine print that trips people up

  • The package ends as the fair begins. Your two nights are 4 and 5 November, and the public fair opens at noon on Friday 6 November, your check-out day. Ask the front desk to hold your bags, or request a late check-out when you book. The page does not say whether the package's after-party is the VIP preview night on 5 November, so confirm before you pay.
  • Breakfast is for two. Both offers include buffet breakfast for two persons only. A third guest pays extra.
  • Tourism Tax is not included. The engine says so on both rate plans. It applies only to non-Malaysian guests.
  • Cancellation terms differ. The normal Best Available Rate shows "Free cancellation". The art fair rates do not carry that label, so read the terms on the booking page before paying.
  • Parking: when we checked earlier this month, the hotel charged RM5 per vehicle for 24 hours after validating your ticket at the front desk.
