> Quick view: Hatten Hotel Melaka has no named October campaign, but its own booking engine is selling standard rooms 30% off on Sunday-to-Thursday check-ins from 11 to 29 October 2026, with free cancellation. The unlisted RM200 Room Only Special Deal is back too. On most October weeknights the discounted flexible rate now matches or beats it; the Special Deal still wins on three weekend nights.

What changed on 7 October

We first read this hotel's offers on 26 August, when the Merdeka Room Promotion sold a Premier Junior Suite at RM124, then again on 31 August and 17 September as School's Out ran and ended. On 7 October 2026 we read the booking engine at hattenhotel.reserve-online.net across four date grids, 7 October to 7 November. Here is the new picture:

  • The standard rates carry a struck-through price. Every Room Only and Best Available Rate plan shows a "You Save" figure on check-ins from Sunday 11 to Thursday 29 October: a Studio Suite Twin at RM203 instead of RM290, a Deluxe Suite at RM224 instead of RM320. That is exactly 30% off. On 7 and 8 October the cut is 20%. The hotel has not named or advertised it anywhere.
  • The RM200 Special Deal returned. In September its last check-in was 30 September and every October grid we read was blank. It now sells again from 7 October to a last check-in on Thursday 29 October, and for the first time on some Fridays and Saturdays.
  • School's Out has left the website. The offer page is no longer on the Special Deals index, which now lists nine standing offers: four room packages and five dining offers.
  • November is back to full price. From Sunday 1 November there is no Special Deal and no struck-through rate. The Friday and Saturday before Deepavali (8 November) cost RM350 for the cheapest room.

October room prices, night by night

All prices are for two adults per night in ringgit, read on 7 October 2026.

Sunday to Thursday, 11 to 29 October:

  • Studio Suite Twin: Room Only RM203 (was RM290), free cancellation. Room Only Special Deal RM200. With breakfast, Best Available Rate RM231 (was RM330), or Special Rate with Breakfast RM230 on Sunday and Monday 18, 19, 25 and 26 October only.
  • Junior Suite: Room Only RM203 (was RM290) in the week of 11 to 15 October, then RM224 (was RM320). Special Deal RM230. With breakfast, Best Available Rate RM231 then RM252 (was RM330 and RM360), or Special Rate with Breakfast RM260.
  • Deluxe Suite: Room Only RM224 (was RM320). With breakfast RM252 (was RM360).

Fridays and Saturdays:

  • Saturday 10, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October: no discount on the standard rates (Studio Suite Twin RM310, Junior Suite RM310 to RM340, Deluxe Suite RM340 to RM370 room-only). The Special Deal sells at RM230 for the Studio Suite Twin and RM260 for the Junior Suite.
  • Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October: the 30% cut applies, Studio Suite Twin RM217 (was RM310), Junior Suite and Deluxe Suite RM238 (was RM340). No Special Deal.
  • Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October: full price, RM310 for the Studio Suite Twin and RM340 for the Deluxe Suite; the Junior Suite was sold out on 31 October.

This week (7 to 10 October): the Studio Suite Twin did not show at all for a 7 October check-in. The Junior Suite Special Deal is RM230 on 7 and 8 October and RM260 on Friday 9 and Saturday 10, against standard Room Only rates of RM248 (was RM310), RM288 (was RM360), RM360 and RM310.

Special Deal or the discounted flexible rate?

The Special Deal was the cheapest bed in the hotel in September. In the discount window that is no longer true on most nights:

  • Studio Suite Twin, weeknights: RM200 against RM203. The RM3 difference buys free cancellation; the Special Deal rows carry no free-cancellation label.
  • Junior Suite, 11 to 15 October: the flexible Room Only at RM203 is RM27 cheaper than the Special Deal at RM230.
  • Junior Suite, 18 to 29 October: RM224 flexible against RM230 Special Deal. The flexible rate is still cheaper.
  • With breakfast: the Junior Suite Best Available Rate at RM231 to RM252 beats the Special Rate with Breakfast at RM260 on every weeknight we read.
  • A bigger room for less: a Deluxe Suite on the discounted flexible rate (RM224) costs less than a Junior Suite on the Special Deal (RM230).

Where the Special Deal still wins: Saturday 10, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October, when it sells a Studio Suite Twin at RM230 against a full-price RM310, a saving of RM80.

Packages, and why two of them lose this month

Five packages sit on the engine's offers index, each with a published stay period:

  • E-Sports Escape, RM399, shown against RM999, stay period to 31 December 2026. One night in an Elite E-Sports Room for up to five people, room-only, with gaming PCs for four. It priced at RM399 on every night we read from 7 October to 7 November, weekends included.
  • Family Play-cation, RM555, shown against RM1,288, to 31 December 2026. Same room for up to five, with breakfast at Chatterz, RM100 of E-Sports in-room dining and use of the connecting Gaming Suite.
  • 24 Hour Flexi Stay Package, RM323, Deluxe Suite with breakfast, Monday-to-Thursday check-ins, to 20 December 2026. In the October window the ordinary Deluxe Suite with breakfast is RM252, so the package costs RM71 more for the 24-hour window. Worth it only if you truly need a late arrival or departure.
  • Mid-Week Business Package, three-night minimum, to 20 December 2026. The offer page still advertises RM788 for three nights, but the engine priced it at RM360 a night on every October weeknight we read, RM1,080 for three. The discounted Deluxe Suite with breakfast is RM756 for the same three nights. Call 06-2869696 if you need the laundry and late check-out it includes.
  • Medical Room Package (Check-In and Check-Up), Junior Suite with breakfast next door to Mahkota Medical Centre, two-night minimum, to 31 March 2027: RM330 a night in the week of 11 October, RM360 later, against RM231 to RM252 for the same room on the discounted Best Available Rate.

Who should book what

Couples, Sunday to Thursday, 11 to 29 October: take the flexible Room Only at RM203 to RM224, or the Best Available Rate with breakfast at RM231 to RM252. You get free cancellation for, at most, a few ringgit more than the Special Deal, and in the Junior Suite you pay less.

Couples who can only do a weekend: book Friday 16 or Saturday 17 October on the Special Deal at RM230 (Studio Suite Twin), or Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October on the discounted flexible rate at RM217.

Families of four or five: the Deluxe Suite with breakfast feeds two. Family Play-cation at RM555 covers breakfast for the room and adds RM100 of in-room food, and costs the same on a Saturday.

Groups of five friends: E-Sports Escape at RM399 is RM79.80 a head on any night to 31 December.

Skip the Flexi Stay and Mid-Week packages this month unless you need their extras: the discounted standard rates undercut both.

Worked examples

A couple, three weeknights with breakfast, Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 October, Junior Suite. Best Available Rate at RM252 a night is RM756, with free cancellation. The Special Rate with Breakfast at RM260 is RM780 without it. At full price the same stay would be RM1,080.

The same trip in early November. From Sunday 1 November the Junior Suite with breakfast is back to RM360 a night, RM1,080 for three. Booking a 18 to 29 October stay instead saves RM324.

A couple, Saturday 17 October, room only. Studio Suite Twin Special Deal RM230 against a standard Room Only rate of RM310: you keep RM80.

A couple, one Tuesday night, Deluxe Suite with breakfast. Discounted Best Available Rate RM252; the 24 Hour Flexi Stay Package for the same room is RM323. The extra RM71 buys a check-in at any hour with a full 24 hours in the room.

Five friends, any night to 31 December. E-Sports Escape RM399, or RM79.80 each.

Fine print that trips people up

  • The 30% is not advertised. It is not on hattenhotel.com or on the engine's offers index; you only see it as a struck-through price when you search dates from 11 to 29 October.
  • Neither is the Special Deal. It appears only in the engine's rate grid.
  • Last discounted check-in: Thursday 29 October. Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October are full price, and so is November.
  • Free cancellation is per rate plan. The standard Room Only and Best Available Rate rows carry the label; the Special Deal rows, E-Sports rooms and packages do not. Ask before you pay.
  • Tourism Tax is not included, per every rate description. It is RM10 per room per night and applies only to non-Malaysian guests.
  • Each rate lists Wi-Fi, the Level 12 gym, the pool, pre-arrival online registration and check-in at the Level 12 Premier Lounge.
  • Parking is RM5 per vehicle for 24 hours once you validate your ticket at the concierge or front desk, with multiple entries allowed in that period.

For the record: earlier offers

School's Out ran from 28 August to 16 September 2026: a Deluxe Suite at RM228 nett room-only and RM288 with breakfast for two adults and two children on Sunday-to-Thursday nights, RM248 and RM318 on Fridays and Saturdays. The Merdeka Room Promotion before it sold 31 August check-ins at 69% off, RM124 for a Premier Junior Suite. In September the RM200 Special Deal ran to 30 September and then went blank until it reappeared in October.
