> Quick view: HP's Mega Warehouse Sale is on at Exhibition Hall 2 of The Starling Mall in Damansara Uptown until Sunday 18 October 2026. The headline StarBuy prices are an HP Laptop 15 for RM1,599 and a 27-inch HP monitor for RM299, but each StarBuy model has only five units. The deals most shoppers will actually get are the eWallet credit tiers (RM30 to RM80 per wallet, depending on the processor), a RM100 early-bird voucher and a gift bundle worth up to RM379. It is worth the trip if you need a basic laptop, a home-office monitor or an ink-tank printer this month.

We read the seven campaign posters HP published for the sale on 17 October 2026 and checked the same product lines on HP's Malaysian online store the same morning. The posters carry HP's logo with AMD and Intel co-branding and print "Terms & Conditions apply" on every panel, but no opening hours. Deal sites have listed the hours as unconfirmed, so call the mall on 03-7730 7000 if you plan to arrive at opening.
The four StarBuy deals (from 11am)
StarBuy prices start at 11am, and HP's poster shows a "5 units" badge on each model. It does not say whether that is five a day or five for the whole sale, so treat these as early-arrival deals.
- HP Victus 15 (fa2607TX): Core i5-13420H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, RTX 3050 6GB. RM2,999, SRP RM4,899.
- HP Laptop 15 (fc0586AU): Ryzen 3-7320U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD. RM1,599, SRP RM1,999.
- HP Laptop 15 (fc0447AU): Ryzen 7-5825U, 12GB RAM, 512GB SSD. RM1,999, SRP RM2,299.
- HP Monitor Series 5 527sh: 27-inch FHD. RM299, SRP RM549.
One small error on the poster: the Victus badge says "Save RM1,999", but RM4,899 minus RM2,999 is RM1,900.
The deals that do not sell out in an hour
eWallet credit by processor. Buy a qualifying HP laptop or desktop and the reseller gives you eWallet credit plus antivirus, based on the chip inside:
- AMD: Athlon or Ryzen 3 gets RM30 Touch 'n Go credit. Ryzen 5, Ryzen AI 5 or Ryzen 7 gets RM50. Ryzen AI 7 or Ryzen 9 gets RM80.
- Intel: Core i3 or Core 3 gets RM30 TnG + RM30 Grab. Core i5, Core 5 or Core Ultra 5 gets RM50 + RM50. Core i7, Core Ultra 7 or Core Ultra 9 gets RM80 + RM80.
- HyperX OMEN gaming laptop: RM200 TnG credit.
Gift bundle worth up to RM379 with selected HP laptops or desktops: an HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2989 all-in-one printer, a HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Core headset and an HP 150 wireless mouse. Only 30 bundles a day.
RM100 early-bird voucher, an instant rebate on HP laptops and desktops, first come, first served.
Smart Tank printers (the poster shows the 720, 750 and 580 all-in-ones) come with a free GT53 black ink bottle.
Worked examples
A student laptop. The Ryzen 3 Laptop 15 is RM1,599 at the hall. On 17 October, HP's online store listed a Laptop 15 with the same Ryzen 3-7320U, 8GB and 512GB (15-fc0962AU) at RM2,699, and it was out of stock. That is RM1,100 less at the sale, and the Ryzen 3 tier adds RM30 TnG credit if the reseller confirms it applies to a StarBuy unit.
A work-from-home desk. The Ryzen 7 Laptop 15 (RM1,999) plus the 27-inch monitor (RM299) comes to RM2,298. At SRP the pair is RM2,848, so you save RM550 before any eWallet credit.
A budget gaming laptop. The Victus 15 at RM2,999 is RM1,900 under its SRP. The cheapest Victus 15 on HP's online store that morning was a newer model (15-fa3004TX, Core 7 230H, RTX 3050) at RM4,899 after its 10.10 discount. The fair takeaway is that the warehouse unit is an older 13th-gen Intel chip, not that you are getting the newer model for RM1,900 less.
Who it is good for, and who should skip it
Good for: students and parents buying a first laptop, anyone building a second-screen home office, and families who print a lot (the Smart Tank ink bottle and the free DeskJet in the bundle both help).
Skip it if you need a thin-and-light or AI PC for work. None of the StarBuy models are OmniBook or EliteBook lines, and those are priced from about RM3,699 online. Also skip a Sunday-afternoon trip just for a StarBuy unit, as five units will not last past the first hour or so.
Fine print that trips people up
- Gifts come from the reseller. The posters say to "obtain your free gifts from Reseller upon purchase", so check gift eligibility at the booth you are paying at, not at another counter.
- Stacking is not spelled out. The posters do not say whether a StarBuy price also earns the RM100 voucher or the gift bundle. Ask before you pay.
- Bundles and StarBuys are capped. 30 bundles a day and 5 units per StarBuy model.
- Online alternative. HP's online store was running a 10.10 sale on 17 October with code HP1010SALE for up to RM120 off, and many models were tagged for same-day delivery. If you miss the hall, compare there first.
Details are on HP's campaign posters; the venue is The Starling Mall, and you can compare online prices on HP's Malaysian store.
