> Quick view, re-checked Monday 28 September 2026: New Balance at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets still has no sale. Its "third selected item at RM1" card for the 10-13 September anniversary weekend ended two weeks ago, and nothing has replaced it, not even the late, backdated September cards the mall added for other brands. The markdowns are on New Balance Malaysia's own web store, and three sportswear neighbours at the same mall have offers until Wednesday 30 September.

Is there a New Balance sale at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets now?

No. The mall publishes offers in four places, and on 28 September 2026 New Balance is in none of them:

  • Live deal cards: 17, up from 11 on 14 September. New Balance is not one of them
  • VIP Shopper deals: 44 brands hold a standing 1 January-31 December 2026 discount. New Balance is not one of them
  • New Balance's own store page: description, suite, phone and directions, and an empty offers list
  • Events: four mall-wide programmes (cable car ticket, train ride ticket, Genting Rewards, a Maybank redemption for cards issued outside Malaysia). None is specific to New Balance

Why the two-week re-check matters

This mall publishes cards late and backdates them. Twelve of the 17 cards live today were published after 14 September. Most went up on 17 September but are dated from 13 September (ANTA, Aigner, Max Mara, Melium) or from 1 September (AAPE, Braun Büffel, Wacoal, Triumph, Travel For All), and Nike's and Hour Passion's went up on 21 September dated from 16 and 1 September. So a "no sale" read taken the day after a campaign is not final. Two weeks on, with that catch-up round finished, New Balance still has nothing. That is a much firmer answer than the one we gave on 14 September.

Every New Balance sale this mall published in 2026

The mall's deals archive still holds expired cards. These are the three we found for this store (the table above has the publishing dates):

  • 19 May to 8 June: "Purchase third selected item at RM1"
  • 1 to 31 August: "Enjoy 50% savings with purchase of 3 selected items / 40% savings with purchase of 2 selected items"
  • 10 to 13 September: "Purchase third selected item at RM1" again

What that tells you about the next one

  • There is no fixed monthly rhythm. Three sales in four months, lasting 21, 31 and 4 days, with gaps in between
  • Cards can go up after a sale starts. The May and August cards were published two and three days into their windows. Check the store page again in the first week of October, not just on the 1st
  • The two mechanics alternate. RM1 for the third item in May, percentage tiers in August, RM1 again in September. Neither has a single-item tier, so a one-pair shopper has gained nothing from any of the three

If "third item at RM1" comes back: the maths

It sounds bigger than it is. On three items at RM250 each:

  • Third item at RM1: RM250 + RM250 + RM1 = RM501, or 33% off RM750
  • 50% off three (the August tiers): 3 x RM125 = RM375, which is RM126 less

RM1 for the third item only wins if the RM1 item is worth more than the other two together, and outlet multi-buys normally apply it to the cheapest item. At two items it gives nothing. If both mechanics are ever on offer again, ask for the percentage tiers.

Where the discount is now: New Balance's web store

The old newbalance.com.my/sale address now redirects to /vip-sale, headed VIP Sale. Despite the name, the prices show to anyone without logging in, and they have not moved since 14 September. On 28 September 2026 it listed 157 items, including:

  • 2002R and 2002W: RM429, was RM739 (42% off)
  • 1000: RM299 or RM399 by colourway, was RM699 (43-57% off)
  • T500: RM199 or RM299, was RM539 (45-63% off)
  • T-shirts: from RM89 (was RM189), with several graphic tees at RM129
  • Shipping is free over RM250, so any sale shoe clears it on its own
  • The 15% newsletter welcome code excludes marked-down items, so it saves nothing here
  • Some shoes are labelled Pig Skin, and the filter panel has a Pig Skin / Non Pig Skin option. Worth using if you avoid pigskin leather
  • No end date is published, and several sizes are already sold out

A worked example: a 2002R and a T500 at the lower price come to RM628 delivered, against RM1,278 at full price.

Sportswear at the same mall with a live offer, until 30 September

If you are going up anyway, these are the stores with something live on 28 September 2026:

  • ANTA (Suite 216, High Street): up to 70% on selected items, 13 to 30 September. The card was only published on 17 September, which is why our first check missed it
  • Nike Factory Store (Suite 508, Middle Street): up to 30% on selected items, 16 to 30 September. This replaced the 1-15 September storewide 30% on 1 / 50% on 2, so it is a weaker offer. Only marked items qualify now
  • PUMA (Suite 224, High Street): buy 2 selected items, get 2 free, until 30 September, plus a year-round VIP 10% on selected items in one receipt
  • AAPE (Suite 520, Middle Street): up to 50% on selected items, 1 to 30 September, plus VIP extra 10% with RM600 in one receipt
  • b.space OUTLET (Suite 618, Middle Street): VIP extra 10% with 3 items in one receipt
  • Superdry Outlet (Suite 400, High Street): VIP extra 10% with RM500 in one receipt
  • Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club (Suite 220): VIP gift with RM400 in one receipt
  • Rip Curl (Suite 110, High Street): VIP 2 selected T-shirts for RM150

Nothing live at ANTA Kids (Suite 1408), Asics Factory Outlet (Suite 214), FILA (Suite 506), Skechers (Suite 100) or Onitsuka Tiger (Suite 312). VIP Shopper membership is free at premiumoutlets.com.my/vip-club.

Which day, if you go

Both RM200 spend-and-redeem offers need a single receipt of RM200, redeemed at the Information Center:

  • Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 September, and Thursday 1 October: a Genting Highlands Premium Outlets cable car return ticket. That offer is Monday to Thursday and excludes public holidays
  • Friday to Sunday: a train ride ticket instead, for Premium Outlets Malaysia app members only
  • Genting Rewards (9 September to 31 December): earn 2GP in a day at participating stores for two Eufloria tickets, 3GP for a Skytropolis ride pass, 6GP for a Genting SkyWorlds 1-day ticket, redeemed in the RW Genting app

Go by Wednesday 30 September if you want the ANTA, Nike and PUMA cards and the cable car ticket on the same trip. From 1 October none of the three sportswear cards is guaranteed.

Who should still go to Suite 1512

  • Go if you are at the mall anyway and want to try fit and width before ordering online
  • Go if you are happy to ask staff about in-store markdowns that are not advertised. Just don't count on them
  • Skip if New Balance is the only reason for the drive. There is no offer and no VIP deal at this store, and the web store has the same models marked down
  • Skip if you want a discount on one pair. ANTA's up to 70% and Nike's up to 30% on selected items run until 30 September and have no minimum quantity
