> Quick view, checked 27 September 2026: New Balance at Johor Premium Outlets, Kulai still has no sale. Its buy-3-for-50% offer ended on 7 September. It sat out both the 10-13 September anniversary sale and the 25-27 September Malaysia Day Specials, and the store at Suite 801, High Street lists no offer anywhere on the mall's site. The markdowns are on New Balance Malaysia's web store, whose sale page is now called VIP Sale (157 items, 2002R at RM429 instead of RM739). Along the same High Street, PUMA runs buy 2, get 2 free until 30 September.

Is there a New Balance sale at Johor Premium Outlets now?

No. The mall publishes offers in four places, and on 27 September 2026 New Balance is missing from all four:

  • Live deal cards: 22 on the listing. None is New Balance
  • VIP Shopper Club deals: 49 brands with a standing 1 January-31 December 2026 discount. New Balance is not one of them
  • New Balance's own store page: suite, phone and hours, and an empty deals list
  • Malaysia Day Specials, 25-27 September: 16 brand entries, from AAPE to XTEP. New Balance is not in it. It was not in the 10-13 September 15th Anniversary Sale either

A missing card here means something. The mall does not tidy up old ones: Universal Traveller Outlet's card marked 1-31 August is still on the listing on 27 September, almost four weeks after it expired. New Balance's card went missing on 2 September, five days before its own end date, and nothing has replaced it in the 25 days since.

The mall also posts cards late and backdates them. Aigner, Hackett London and Nike Unite all got cards on 17 September for sales that started on the 14th or 16th. So one empty day proves little. Nearly four weeks of empty listings, across two mall-wide events, is a clear answer.

What the last sale was

  • Buy 2 selected items, 40% off; buy 3, 50% off, on one receipt
  • Advertised 7 August to 7 September 2026
  • Selected footwear and apparel only. The eligible range was set in store and never published

Some deal sites still repeat those dates. They are out of date.

Where the discount is now: New Balance's web store

newbalance.com.my/sale now redirects to /vip-sale/, headed VIP Sale. Despite the name, the prices appear for a logged-out visitor and match what the same page showed as "End of Season - Exclusive Deals" on 14 September. On 27 September 2026 it held 157 items (160 two weeks earlier), including:

  • 2002R: RM429, was RM739 (42% off). The 2002W is the same price
  • 1000: RM299 or RM399 by colourway, was RM699 (43-57% off)
  • T500: RM199 or RM299, was RM539 (45-63% off)
  • T-shirts: from RM89 (Face Oka Smile, was RM189) and RM129 for several graphic tees
  • Several 1000 and T500 colourways are marked sold out, and more than in mid-September

How it works:

  • Delivery is free on orders over RM250, so any single sale shoe except a RM199 T500 clears the bar
  • The 15% welcome code for newsletter sign-ups does not apply to marked-down or fixed-price items, and cannot be combined with other promotions. On this page it saves nothing
  • No end date is published. The page has lost only three lines in two weeks, but sizes go first, so don't wait if you wear a common one

A worked example: a 2002R and a RM199 T500 come to RM628 delivered, against RM1,278 at full price. Driving to Kulai for the same pair, with no offer in store, is the harder sell.

The live sportswear offers on the same High Street

New Balance has nothing on. These stores, all on High Street, do on 27 September 2026:

  • PUMA (Suite 1402): buy 2 selected items, get 2 free, 23 to 30 September. This is the strongest offer in the cluster. If all four items cost the same, you pay half. If the prices differ, assume the two free ones are the cheaper two. On four RM200 items you pay RM400. On two RM300 items plus two RM150 items you pay RM600 for RM900 of goods, which is 33% off
  • Nike Unite Johor (Suite 1410): up to 50% off selected items, 16 to 30 September. The mall shows two cards with the same dates, an up-to-30% one published 17 September and an up-to-50% one published 26 September. Read it as a deeper cut added late in the sale, and ask which items carry it
  • Vans (Suite 804, three doors from New Balance): 50% off with 2 selected items, card dated 2 May to 31 December 2026
  • XTEP (Suite 530): up to 70% off selected items, "1 to 30 September". This appears only on the Malaysia Day Specials page, not as a deal card or on XTEP's store page. Ask at the counter before counting on it after 27 September

Standing VIP Shopper Club deals, to 31 December 2026:

  • ASICS Factory Outlet (Suite 908): extra 15% off with 3 selected items on one receipt
  • PUMA (Suite 1402): 10% off selected items on one receipt
  • Skechers (Suite 402) and ECCO Outlet (Suite 316, Low Street): 10% off selected items
  • Crocs (Suite 430, Low Street): 10% off your entire purchase, not just selected items
  • Under Armour Outlet (Suite 1308): extra 10% off with RM600 on one receipt

VIP Shopper Club membership is free at premiumoutlets.com.my/vip-club, and the same login works in the Premium Outlets Malaysia app. The mall doesn't say whether a VIP deal stacks with a campaign card like PUMA's, so ask before paying.

Timberland (Suite 808), SALOMON (Suite 806), The North Face (Suite 1306), Clarks (Suite 420), Hush Puppies (Suite 918), ANTA (Suite 1302) and both adidas stores have no deal card and no VIP deal on 27 September.

Who should still go to Suite 801

  • Go if you are at Johor Premium Outlets anyway. Suites 801, 804, 806 and 808 are one stretch of High Street, PUMA and Nike are a short walk on, and in-store markdowns that are not advertised are always possible
  • Go if you need to try a width or fit before buying. The web store does not replace a fitting
  • Skip if New Balance is your only reason to drive out. The mall is 25-30 minutes from JB city centre each way, it lists no offer, and there is no VIP discount at this store

New Balance is listed at Suite 801, High Street, "from Car Park D take the escalator at the center court to High Street". New Balance's own locator writes it as Lot 801 & 802, Jalan Indahpura, Kulai, 81000 Johor. Phone +607 599 8669, 10am-10pm daily. Call and ask about the model and size you want before you drive.

Mall-wide programmes

  • Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards, JPO edition to 30 September 2026: GP earned at participating stores redeems in the RW Genting app. 6GP in a day gets a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard ticket, 3GP a Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass, and 2GP two Eufloria Gardens tickets. RW Genting's own FAQ puts the earn rate at 1GP per RM100, so that is about RM600, RM300 and RM200 in one day. The Genting Highlands centre has already rolled its edition on to 31 December; JPO has not announced an extension yet
  • JPO x Maybank, to 31 December 2026: RM1,000 across two receipts gets a RM50 gift voucher, but only on selected Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei. Malaysian-issued Maybank cards don't qualify
  • Ended: the Shop More, Win Bigger top-spender contest counted receipts from 10 to 20 September only

If the buy-2/buy-3 tiers come back

On a round RM300 an item, two items at 40% off cost RM360 and three at 50% off cost RM450. The third item adds RM90 to the bill and cuts the average price from RM180 to RM150. That is a real saving only if you wanted the third item anyway. Tiers like this count items per receipt, not per person, so two friends paying together reach the top tier more cheaply. The same maths works for Vans' 50%-off-2-items card and PUMA's buy-2-get-2 today.
