A government-subsidised service is running now at PETRONAS AutoExpert until 7 November 2026 (it opened on 25 October), where a national car's oil-change package costs RM89 to RM239, booked through Setel.
What ended, and what you still have from it
Servis Ihsan MADANI is a programme of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) under its Payung RAHMAH umbrella. It runs through three partners: PETRONAS AutoExpert, Perodua and Proton.
Perodua's round ran from 17 August to 30 September 2026, on Mondays to Wednesdays only. A service with an engine oil change and a bill of at least RM280 before tax got three things: 10% off parts and labour, an RM70 government subsidy off the invoice, and an RM20 Perodua e-voucher for the next service. On 29 October 2026 Perodua's campaign page still prints "17 August - 30 September 2026", and no extension has been published. Proton's round (17 August to 17 September) closed earlier.
If you serviced your Perodua during the campaign, one benefit is still on its way. Perodua says the RM20 e-voucher will be awarded by November 2026. It is for your next service only, is valid for one year from issue, cannot be cashed out or transferred, and cannot be used on Part Retail Orders (parts bought over the counter rather than fitted during a service). What still makes a Perodua service cheaper
Perodua's campaign was on top of a permanent change. On 18 June 2026 Perodua announced that from 19 June 2026 it was cutting the price of service maintenance parts and labour. President and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said customers should save about 10% on their average service bill. It covers every model, including the QV-E, and applies to inspections, parts replacement and labour at authorised service centres. Perodua says terms and conditions apply and points customers to the service advisor for them. It has no end date.
So an October service at a Perodua centre costs roughly what a June service would have cost minus 10%. There is no RM70 and no RM280 threshold. Perodua has not published a model-by-model price list for the reduction, so ask the advisor for an itemised quote when you book.
Two smaller Perodua offers are still running:
- ProGANTI parts. These are Perodua's own lower-cost alternative service parts, approved by Perodua and sold at all Perodua service centres with a 6-month warranty. Ask for them if you want a cheaper invoice while staying at a Perodua centre.
- Perodua Total Protect Plus Renew and Win. If you renew your PTPP insurance between 1 September and 31 October 2026, you get lucky-draw entries. A renewal at an outlet gives 1 entry and an online renewal gives 2. A first-year renewal gives 3 at an outlet or 5 online. The car must be no more than 20 years old. A registration form and quiz arrive by WhatsApp within 14 days of renewal, and winners are announced in October and November (campaign page). The campaign closes on Saturday 31 October 2026, so if your PTPP renewal is due anyway, renewing online before then gives the most entries.
Running now: PETRONAS AutoExpert, Deepavali (to 7 November)
KPDN's Servis Ihsan MADANI page runs the PETRONAS AutoExpert version (SIM@PAX) ahead of every major festival in 2026. KPDN describes it as a subsidy of 10% to 30% off market price, with RM70 allocated per user. Six windows have already passed. The Deepavali window is running now, and one more follows:
- Deepavali: 25 October to 7 November 2026
- Christmas: 11 to 24 December 2026
PETRONAS's terms and conditions give the same two windows. Unlike Perodua's version, these are not restricted to Monday to Wednesday.
What a national car pays
The package prices below are for the "National" vehicle column, which is the one a Perodua falls under. They come from the PETRONAS terms and conditions, re-read on 29 October 2026 (the terms PDF has not been changed since 11 March 2026):
- Mineral (Syntium 500 10W30 SN 3.0L or Mach 5 SAE40 4.0L): RM89
- Semi-synthetic (Syntium 800 5W30 or 10W40, 4.0L): RM199
- Fully synthetic (Syntium 3000 E 0W-20, 3.5L): RM209
- Fully synthetic (Syntium 5W-30 or 5W-40, 4.0L): RM239
Asian-make cars pay RM109 for mineral and RM229 for semi-synthetic. European cars pay RM129 and RM269. Each package includes the oil, an oil filter, a drain plug gasket, labour and a multi-point check. Anything else the workshop does is charged separately at that outlet's own rates. The package cannot be combined with other promotions unless PETRONAS says otherwise.
Which package fits a Perodua
Perodua's own genuine oil range lists fully synthetic 0W-20, sold in 3L and 3.5L packs, with a 10,000km or 6-month interval. Its semi-synthetic 5W-30 comes in 3L and 4L packs with the same interval. Its mineral 10W-30 is a 3L pack with a 5,000km or 3-month interval. Check your owner's manual for the grade and capacity your engine takes, then pick the package that matches:
- If your manual specifies 0W-20, the like-for-like package is the RM209 Syntium 3000 E.
- The RM89 mineral package is the cheapest, but mineral oil in Perodua's own range is on a 5,000km interval, so you would be back roughly twice as often.
- Over 10,000km, two RM89 mineral services cost RM178. One RM209 fully synthetic service costs RM209, but it saves a second workshop visit.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
Take it if your Perodua is out of warranty, or you already service it outside the Perodua network, and an oil change falls due around late October.
Think first if the car is still under Perodua's warranty. A PETRONAS AutoExpert workshop is not a Perodua service centre, so read the warranty conditions in your service booklet before you move a scheduled service there.
Skip it if the car is registered to a company. KPDN's eligibility requires a Malaysian citizen with an IC, valid road tax, an individually registered vehicle and a national vehicle type. Skip it too if you need repairs rather than an oil change, because the package covers the oil-change service only.
How to book the Deepavali round
- Install Setel and register your own vehicle. Only the registered Setel user can book, and only for their own registered vehicle.
- Open Car Service, choose a participating workshop and tap Book an appointment. PETRONAS lists 119 SIM@PAX workshops on its page, 33 of them in Selangor and 18 in Johor. Kedah has 14, Terengganu 9, and Kelantan, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan 7 each. Sabah and WP Kuala Lumpur have 5 each. Pahang has 4, Perak and Perlis 3 each, and Sarawak and Putrajaya 2 each.
- Select your vehicle, fill in the form, choose "Servis Ihsan Madani" and submit.
- Schedule the service date between 25 October and 7 November 2026. The terms say a booking for a date outside the festive service period is not eligible.
PETRONAS says bookings also earn Mesra Rewards points: paying for the service with Setel Wallet gives 1 point for every RM5 spent.
If you miss 7 November
The Deepavali window has a fixed end, and the last day, Saturday 7 November, is likely to be the busiest at small workshops. If no slot is open by then, the next and final 2026 window runs from 11 to 24 December under the same prices and rules. KPDN lists no further Perodua or Proton round, so the PETRONAS AutoExpert windows are the only subsidised option left this year.
