> Quick view: the Syoknya Merdeka Sale that PUMA was part of at Design Village Penang ended on 27 September 2026, and the mall has posted no PUMA deal since. The store is still listed at G.153-155 (04-587 3967). The same PUMA "buy 2, get 2" mechanic is live until 30 September at PUMA's Johor and Genting outlets. At Design Village the live offers are Kate Spade's Surprise Sale to 5 October, Gatti Sports' Mega Sale to 11 October, and Poney plus the Weekday Beli-Beli contest to 30 September.

Is there a PUMA deal at Design Village right now?

Not one the mall has published. We checked Design Village's own post feed, its ongoing-promotions tab and its tenant directory on 28 September 2026.

  • The last PUMA post is still the 23 June "Buy 2 Free 2". A search of the mall's posts for "puma" returns only that post, an April clearance post and two fitness-challenge posts. The 23 June post only ever said "promotion until further notice" and never gave an end date. The mall took it off its promotions listing in August.
  • The Syoknya Merdeka Sale has ended. It ran from 21 August to 27 September 2026. PUMA was one of six brands on its standee. The campaign banner was still on the mall's homepage on 28 September, but its printed end date has passed.
  • Free parking ended on 16 September. The mall's parking post gave that date as the end of its Merdeka and Malaysia Day free-parking period.

So if you drive to Batu Kawan today, you'll pay the prices on the tags at PUMA. No mall-backed PUMA promotion is running.

The PUMA store itself: still open

On 28 September 2026 Design Village's tenant directory still lists Puma under Fashion & Sportswear, across lots G.153, G.154 and G.155 (Orange Zone), phone 04-587 3967. The mall's online shop has no PUMA products, so you can only buy in store.

Mall hours are 11am-10pm daily. The address is 733, Jalan Cassia Barat 2, 14110 Bandar Cassia, on the mainland side. From George Town, plan for the Second Penang Bridge toll.

Where PUMA's "buy 2, get 2" is live this week

PUMA's own outlet stores at the two Premium Outlets centres are running a buy-two-get-two card. Premium Outlets publishes these on its official deals feed:

  • Genting Highlands Premium Outlets: "Purchase 2 selected items and get 2 complimentary selected items", 1-30 September 2026 (published 8 September).
  • Johor Premium Outlets: the same wording, 23-30 September 2026 (published 26 September).

Neither card needs a VIP membership. Both say "selected items" and "terms & conditions apply", so check the tag before you build a four-item basket.

What this means for Penang shoppers: PUMA is clearly running a buy-2-get-2 at some of its outlet stores in September. But neither PUMA nor Design Village has said the Batu Kawan store is part of it. Call the store on 04-587 3967 before you drive over. It's a two-minute call against a bridge toll and an hour on the road.

How the maths works if the store is running it: you pay for the two highest-priced selected items and the two cheaper ones are free. So group items of similar price. Pairing two RM300 shoes with two RM60 tees saves RM120. Pairing four RM300 shoes saves RM600. This is how buy-2-get-2 cards usually work; ask the cashier how the free items are chosen.

PUMA online: a contest, not a discount

PUMA's promotions page on 28 September lists one live promotion, Fastest Reaction Time, from 24 September to 11 October 2026:

  • Anyone can play the reaction-time game on the PUMA website.
  • To be eligible to win, you must spend at least RM250 in a single online transaction that includes at least one full-priced Ferrari or McLaren jersey or other selected apparel. You must also be logged in to your PUMA account when you check out and play.
  • The eligible player with the best average time by 11 October 2026, 23:59 wins one Ferrari Speedcat or McLaren Speedcat, their choice.

PUMA's page also says promotions and coupon codes cannot be combined or stacked. Free standard shipping needs RM150 in West Malaysia or RM250 in East Malaysia. None of this applies at the Design Village store.

What is live at Design Village instead

All of these come from the mall's own posts, checked 28 September 2026:

  • Kate Spade New York Surprise Sale, until 5 October 2026. Up to 80% off, plus an extra 10% off when you buy 2 and 15% off when you buy 3. Lot G.146a, Purple Zone. Example: three bags already marked down to RM200, RM150 and RM100 come to RM450. The extra 15% takes RM67.50 off, so you pay RM382.50.
  • Gatti Sports Mega Sale, 23 September to 11 October 2026. The closest sportswear alternative in the mall. Up to 80% off, branded running shoes from RM59, branded caps from RM29, jerseys from RM10. Lots G46-G51.
  • Poney free plush, until 30 September 2026. Spend RM199 in a single receipt at Poney (Lot G.133, Purple Zone) and pick a Faye or Finn soft toy, which the store values at RM129, while stocks last.
  • Weekday Beli-Beli Cheng Du, until 30 September 2026. Spend RM150 or more in a single receipt on a weekday (Monday to Friday, not public holidays). Submit the receipt at the Customer Service Lounge for a chance to win return flights for two to Chengdu. The mall calls this its final Weekday Beli-Beli campaign.

Timing tip: 29 and 30 September are both weekdays. A single RM199 Poney receipt on either day qualifies for the plush and also clears the RM150 Beli-Beli threshold. Neither post mentions the other or says the two can't be combined, so take the receipt to the Customer Service Lounge and ask.

Should you make the trip for PUMA?

Go if you're already heading to Batu Kawan for Kate Spade or Gatti before their end dates. You can also go if you've phoned the PUMA store and it confirmed a buy-2-get-2 in Penang.

Skip if a PUMA promotion was your only reason. Nothing PUMA-specific has been published for Design Village since June. PUMA's September buy-2-get-2 is only confirmed at Genting and Johor, and it ends on 30 September.

Check again after 30 September. That's when the Premium Outlets cards expire. A new October card at Genting or Johor would be the first sign of what PUMA's outlet stores run next.
