> Quick view: adidas Outlet at Design Village, Batu Kawan has run no deal since its August Special Sale (50% off one selected style) ended on 31 August 2026. On 21 October 2026 there is still no adidas offer from the mall, and none at adidas's outlet stores in Genting and Johor, where adidas is also missing from the October Weekend Specials (23-25 October). The Penang store is open at Lots G.92-94. Two things still help: the mall's Deepavali gift from 23 October (a peacock bowl for RM300 in one receipt at any outlet, adidas included), and adidas.com.my's online Outlet at up to 50% off.
Is there an adidas deal at Design Village right now?
No. We checked on 21 October 2026:
- The mall's post feed, which mirrors its Facebook page, has one adidas post all year: "Adidas Buy 3 Get 50% off" on 18 May. Its newest posts are Lilanz's opening (19 October), a Coach bag launch (15 October) and Padi House's 20th-anniversary dish (14 October). Nothing from adidas.
- The mall's homepage carries one mall-wide campaign, The Light of Deepavali, and no adidas offer.
- adidas has no sale at its other outlet stores either (details below), so there is no chain-wide event that Penang is quietly part of.
So if you drive to Batu Kawan today, you pay the outlet's own tag prices at adidas. If you see a "50% off adidas Design Village" listing, it is the August sale still circulating.
The one perk that reaches adidas: The Light of Deepavali
From 23 October 2026, Design Village gives one exclusive peacock bowl for RM300 or more in a single receipt from any outlet in the mall. The mall's homepage and standee set the limits:
- While stocks last. No end date is printed.
- One redemption per customer per day.
- One receipt, same day. Two RM150 receipts don't add up, and an older receipt won't count.
Because the mall says "any outlet", an adidas receipt qualifies. Worked example: adidas lists Galaxy 8 running shoes at RM229 and a Train Essentials tee at RM89 at full price, so a pair plus a tee is about RM318, enough for the bowl. The Penang store sets its own outlet tags, so add up the actual tags at the counter before you pay. If you're short by a little, the receipt has to be topped up at the same store, since receipts from two shops can't be combined.
The store itself: still open
On 21 October 2026 the mall's tenant directory lists adidas as Enabled, its code for a store that is trading, across Lots G.92, G.93 and G.94 in the Orange Zone.

- Parking: Monday to Friday RM1 for the first 3 hours, weekends and public holidays RM2 for the first 3 hours, then RM1 for each extra hour (mall FAQ). A lost ticket costs RM30.
Design Village is on the mainland side, near the Penang end of the Second Penang Bridge. From George Town, budget for the bridge toll and 30-45 minutes each way.
Is adidas running a deal at its other outlet stores?
No. On 21 October 2026 the official Premium Outlets Malaysia feeds show:
- Genting Highlands Premium Outlets (Suite 624, Middle Street): adidas Outlet Store, no deal card and no VIP Shopper Club deal.
- Johor Premium Outlets (Suite 1004, High Street, plus adidas Originals at Suite 1108, Low Street): no deal card and no VIP deal at either.
- October Weekend Specials, 23-25 October: both centres publish a brand line-up for the weekend. adidas is not on it, while Nike Factory Store (up to 50%, 14-31 October) and Under Armour (19-29 October) are, at Genting.
When other sportswear brands get a weekend slot and adidas doesn't, a Penang sale in the next few days is unlikely.
Where adidas is discounted: its online outlet
adidas.com.my's Outlet section lists 4,377 items on 21 October 2026, down from 4,537 on 28 September. On the first page of results markdowns run from 20% to 50%:
- Argentina 26 Home Jersey: RM164.50, was RM329 (50% off)
- Germany 26 Away Jersey: RM164.50, was RM329 (50% off)
- Germany 26 Home Authentic Jersey: RM274.50, was RM549 (50% off)
- Germany Home Jersey 1994: RM199.50, was RM399 (50% off)
- Response Runner Shoes: RM137.40, was RM229 (40% off)
- Runfalcon 5 Running Shoes: RM149.40, was RM249 (40% off)
- Island Club Adilette 22 Slides: RM174.30, was RM249 (30% off)
- Handball Spezial Shoes: RM399.20, was RM499 (20% off). The 50% Mexico colourway from September is no longer on the first page.
The site's banner offers free shipping to adiClub members, and membership is free to join. The homepage shows no sitewide promo code on 21 October. Two cautions:
- Online prices are online only. The Design Village store sets its own tags, so don't show a phone screen at the counter and expect a match.
- Sizes run out online too. A 50% line with only one size left is not a deal for you.
Worked examples: two World Cup 26 jerseys cost RM329 online instead of RM658. A runner on a budget pays RM137.40 for Response Runner shoes, RM91.60 under full price, without the bridge toll or the drive.
Live at Design Village instead
From the mall's own posts, checked 21 October 2026:
- Lilanz opening, Lot G.27 (Yellow Zone). Penang's first Lilanz outlet, posted 19 October: 40% off all apparel, footwear and polo tees from RM200. Minimalist menswear. The post gives no end date.
- Padi House 20th anniversary, Lot G.25 (Green Zone). A signature plate of chicken chop, lemongrass chicken, chicken curry and buttery rice for RM20. Posted 14 October with no end date.
- Gatti's clearance has ended. Its Design Village sale ran to 11 October. The Gatti store at Lots G.46-G.49 is still open (04-588 1766), but the next big Gatti sale is at City Plaza Alor Setar.
How adidas Design Village sales have run this year
Design Village has posted two adidas mechanics in 2026:
- May: items from RM99, 40% off 2 or 50% off 3, with at least one footwear item. The mall posted it on 18 May, the day before it ended.
- 31 July to 31 August: 50% off one selected style, no second item needed.
Both were short and lightly announced. To catch the next one, watch the mall's Facebook page, or call the store on 012-630 6799 before you cross the bridge.
Should you make the trip for adidas?
Go if you'd spend RM300 or more at adidas anyway: from 23 October that receipt also gets the Deepavali bowl. Go too if you need to try shoes on in person.
Skip if a discount was your reason. No adidas offer is running at the store, and the online outlet is cheaper on the lines it carries. Check the online outlet first; if your size is there at 30-50% off, that beats paying tag price in Penang.
