> Quick view: adidas Outlet's August Special Sale at Design Village, Batu Kawan — 50% off one selected style — ended on 31 August 2026, and as of 11 September the mall has posted no adidas offer to replace it. The store is still trading at Lot G.93-94. What still applies to an adidas receipt is mall-wide: the Syoknya Merdeka Sale (RM500 in one receipt redeems a prize, to 27 September) and free parking until 16 September.
Is the adidas sale still on?
No. The Special Sale ran 31 July to 31 August 2026: 50% off one selected adidas style at a time, across footwear, apparel and streetwear, with no second item required. It has not been extended and nothing has replaced it:
- Design Village's promotions page, the one place the mall lists tenant offers, carries no adidas entry at all on 11 September 2026. Its ongoing list still shows older tenant posts such as 361° (1 July) and Country Hide (8 July), so the adidas gap is a genuine delisting, not a page that only keeps recent posts.
- The mall's post feed, which mirrors its Facebook page, has not mentioned adidas since 18 May 2026.
If you see a "50% off" adidas Design Village listing in September, it is the August sale still circulating.
The store is still open
The sale ending doesn't affect the shop. On 11 September 2026 the mall's tenant directory lists adidas as Enabled, its code for a store that is still trading, across Lots G.92, G.93 and G.94. The mall's own posts shorten that to Lot G.93-94 (Orange Zone).
- Address: Design Village, 733 Jalan Cassia Barat 2, 14110 Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Penang
- Hours: 11am-10pm daily (the mall's hours; listings that say 10am are wrong)
- Store phone: 012-630 6799, the number on the mall's directory card for adidas
- Personal Shopper: 012-488 7066 is Design Village's own mall-wide Personal Shopper and online-shop line, not an adidas number. An earlier version of this article called it adidas's line; it belongs to the mall. Use it if you want the mall to shop for you, and use the store number to ask about adidas stock.
What still applies to an adidas receipt
Syoknya Merdeka Sale, to Sunday 27 September 2026. Spend RM500 or more in a single receipt anywhere in the mall and redeem an exclusive prize from a pool the mall values at up to RM50,000. An adidas receipt counts: the campaign headline says the spend is "at Design Village Outlet Mall" and attaches no store list. The artwork's fine print sets the limits: same-day receipt only, one redemption per customer per day, while stocks last.
Without the half-price sale, an RM500 adidas bill now means paying outlet shelf prices for the whole basket. Treat the prize as a bonus on a purchase you were making anyway, not a reason to add items. Two rules catch people out:
- One receipt, one store. An RM300 adidas bill and an RM250 bill from the next shop do not combine.
- One redemption a day. An RM1,000 receipt still redeems one prize, so splitting a big shop across two days gets you two prizes, stock permitting.
Free parking, to Wednesday 16 September 2026 (Malaysia Day). The South and East open car parks have been free since 15 August, and the Multistorey Car Park joined on 29 August. The mall ties it to Merdeka, Malaysia Day and its new licence-plate-recognition parking system. After 16 September normal charges return unless the mall extends it.
Other sportswear offers the mall still lists
These tenant offers were still on Design Village's promotions page on 11 September 2026. Most carry no end date, so confirm at the counter:
- 361° Outlet (Lot G.110, Green Zone): up to 70% off selected running shoes and sportswear
- Al-Ikhsan Sports (G-107 & G-108, Green Zone): shoes from RM49 on selected sneakers and running shoes, "until further notice"
- New Balance (Lot G.157-158, Orange Zone): an extra 30% off when you buy three items or more, from the mall's January reopening post. It was never dated and never withdrawn, so it is the least certain of the three.
- PUMA (G.153-155): its Buy 2 Free 2 has ended too; see the PUMA guide below
Outside sportswear, Kate Spade New York (Lot G.146a, Purple Zone) has the mall's newest dated offer: up to 80% off, plus an extra 10% off two items or 15% off three, until 5 October 2026.
How adidas Design Village sales tend to run
The mall has posted two adidas mechanics this year, and they were different:
- May 2026: items from RM99, 40% off when you buy 2 or 50% off when you buy 3, with at least one footwear item. The mall posted it on 18 May, saying the next day was the last.
- 31 July to 31 August 2026: 50% off a single selected style, no second item needed.
So the next sale could take either shape, and the short ones get almost no notice: May's was announced the day before it ended. To catch the next one, watch the mall's promotions page or Facebook, or call the store on 012-630 6799 before you drive over the Second Penang Bridge.
Is it worth the trip now?
Go if you're buying adidas anyway before 16 September. Parking is free, and one RM500 receipt earns a Syoknya prize until 27 September. That is a small bonus on a full-price outlet shop.
Wait if you were going for the 50% off. That price is gone: on a hypothetical RM400 pair of runners the August sale saved RM200, and today the outlet tag price applies. Until the store or the mall posts a new adidas offer, the deepest sportswear discounts listed at Design Village belong to other brands.
