Bataras Promotion Now: Sipitang Hypermarket Grand Opening Deals to 7 Oct 2026 — and Why the Expired Merdeka Catalogue Is Still Online
Update 24 September 2026: the only live Bataras prices right now are at the new Bataras Hypermarket Sipitang, which opened today with daily RM1, 50 sen, 20 sen and 10 sen doorbusters to 27 September and a Harga Gempak list valid to 7 October, all printed "Sipitang only". Bataras' Merdeka Bersama, Jimat Bersama catalogue ran from 28 August to 8 September 2026 across 58 named outlets in Sabah and Labuan. It has now expired — and when we re-checked on 9 September, the day after, nothing had replaced it and nothing had been taken down. bataras.com still serves all eight flyer pages, the site's media library has accepted no upload since 28 August at 2.29pm, and every dated card on the official Facebook page still reads "Sah Sehingga 08/09/2026". The prices are still on screen and none of them is valid. Two things came out of that re-check that were not in the catalogue at all: a Facebook-only price list carrying Econsave house-brand stock on Sabah shelves, which is the plainest evidence yet of the May 2025 takeover, and KAMI PATUH, Bataras' standing written promise to honour the lower price when the shelf label and the till disagree.
LEGOLAND Malaysia MERDEKA Fest 2026 Has Ended — Brick or Treat Prices for October: RM103 Tuesdays, RM75 Evenings and the Free-Costume Catch
MERDEKA Fest at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort ended on 20 September 2026, and the Buy 1 Free 1 on day tickets that this page used to recommend has been withdrawn. What replaces both is Brick or Treat, 1 October to 1 November, and its pricing has four routes that differ by more than RM300 for a family of four. We read LEGOLAND's own ticket store date by date on 22 September: Malaysian Theme Park tickets are RM103 adult and RM88 child on every Tuesday in October against RM164 and RM140 on other days, evening tickets are RM75 and RM55, and the free-entry deal for children in costume only works with a RM205 adult ticket bought at the counter.
Genting SkyWorlds RM38 Ticket Now Runs to 31 December: What Outlived Merdeka Cara Kita, Plus Haunted Highlands Prices (Oct 2026)
Resorts World Genting's Merdeka Cara Kita campaign is over, but the RM38 Genting SkyWorlds ticket it launched for seniors, children 90–110cm and OKU guests now has a printed end date of 31 December 2026. Here is what else is live up the hill for October: Haunted Highlands from RM30 (early bird to 29 September), a RM128 haunted house plus theme park combo, and the two cable-car closures to plan around.
Berjaya Island Deals After Merdeka: The Taaras Up to 60% Off From 1 Nov, Tioman 3D2N RM1,450, Langkawi RM938 Package
Re-checked 25 October: every Redang Island Resort and Berjaya Tioman seasonal offer stops at 31 October, The Taaras moves to up to 60% off for stays 1 November to 28 February, Tioman's Snorkelling Getaway (3D2N from RM1,450 nett) runs to May 2027, and Langkawi has a RM2,318+ New Year's Eve gala. Berjaya's 69th Merdeka Specials are over. The island extra 10% closed on 31 August, and Berjaya Langkawi's RM450+ Celebrate Malaysia in Nature package stopped selling on 16 September. We re-priced every property on its own booking engine on 17 September. Langkawi's new Nourish Your Wellbeing package costs RM938 all-in for two, with a vegetarian dinner and a spa treatment, and the cheapest flexible room there is RM574.75. Redang Island Resort sells rooms at RM285 a night direct, The Taaras is 35% off for mid-October, and Berjaya Tioman's End-of-Season Sale runs to 31 October.
