Cat litter

  • 10% off the whole range. Normal prices across the range run RM11.90 to RM33.50, and the packs pictured on the catalogue are FIDO natural tofu litter, FIDO pine litter, Tornado 10L, a Living Choice cat litter sand and a clumping bentonite sand.

What changed since the August edition

Both catalogues are still downloadable from AEON BiG's own promotions page, so the two cycles can be compared line by line. The differences are real, not cosmetic:

  • The free treat is new. No spend-and-redeem mechanic appeared on the August artwork at all.
  • Whiskas pouches got cheaper. 3 for RM5.30 in September, against 3 for RM5.50 in August.
  • The dog line swapped to big bags. August ran Pedigree Dry Dog Food 2.7-3kg at RM26.99 and ProBalance Dry Kibbles 2.7-3.2kg at RM27.89. September runs Pedigree 10kg at RM83.89 and ProBalance 15kg at RM99.89 — no small bags at all.
  • SmartHeart's dog range is gone. August's SMART HEART Dog Canned Food 400g (RM5.39, normally RM6.20) and Dog Adult Food 7kg (RM53.99, normally RM61.50) are not on the September catalogue.
  • Purina One is in, several ranges are out. SAYANGKU, ProDiet, Sheba, Friskies Gravylicious and the Friskies Party Mix / Felix Play Tubes line all ran in August and do not appear in September. Temptations Cat Treats 75g (2 for RM14.00) has been replaced by Temptations Puree 48g (2 for RM12.00).
  • The cat litter footnote grew. August excluded six outlets from the 10%; September excludes seven.

The cat litter exclusion list is longer than the catalogue's

This is the line most shoppers will miss, because it is set in six-point type under the litter photos rather than in the catalogue header.

AEON BiG's blanket rule, printed at the top of the page, is that all promotions exclude AEON BiG Sri Petaling and Penang Prai. The 10% cat litter discount then carries a second, longer footnote of its own, naming:

  • Sri Petaling
  • Bukit Minyak
  • Ipoh
  • Danau Kota
  • Jaya One
  • Penang Prai
  • Palm Mall

Seven outlets — and five of them (Bukit Minyak, Ipoh, Danau Kota, Jaya One and Palm Mall) are running every other Pet Fair price normally. If litter is the reason you are going, those five are the trap: the fair is on, the litter discount is not. In August the same footnote listed six names; Penang Prai has been added for September, which brings the litter list into line with the catalogue-wide ban.

Worked examples

  • One cat, one month. Three Whiskas pouches (RM5.30) plus a 3kg bag of Whiskas dry (RM32.89) plus a RM20 bag of litter at 10% off (RM18.00) comes to RM56.19 — around RM4.60 below the same basket at normal prices.
  • Getting the free treat. A single 3kg bag of SMART HEART Cat Adult Food at RM31.39 clears the RM15 threshold on its own. Two 400g SmartHeart cans (RM9.58) do not — you need RM15 of SmartHeart on one receipt, then redeem the treat at the counter, not at the checkout.
  • Big dog, bulk buy. Pedigree 10kg at RM83.89 saves RM9.11 against RM93.00; ProBalance 15kg at RM99.89 saves RM19.91 against RM119.80. Those are the two largest single-item savings in the whole catalogue.

Who it suits, who should skip

Worth the trip if you buy litter in bulk at an outlet that is not on the exclusion list, if you feed SmartHeart, Whiskas, Felix, Friskies or Purina One, or if you have a large dog — the 10kg and 15kg bags are where the ringgit actually sit.

Skip it if your nearest branch is one of the seven excluded from the litter discount and litter was the whole point; if you feed SAYANGKU or ProDiet, both of which ran in August and are absent now; or if you were waiting on the August SmartHeart dog prices, which have not carried over.

Fine print

  • Catalogue-wide: "All Promotion exclude AEON BiG Sri Petaling & Penang Prai"
  • Also printed on the catalogue: "Selected products in this promotion are not available at selected AEON BiG Hypermarkets" — not every price above will be live at every outlet
  • The free SMART HEART Cat Creamy Treat is counter redemption only, while stocks last — ask at customer service rather than expecting it to drop off at the till
  • No AEON member card requirement is stated anywhere on the catalogue; these are open shelf prices
  • No purchase limit is printed on the cat litter discount or on any individual food price

A rolling campaign, not a one-off

AEON BiG runs Pet Fair on a rolling cycle rather than as a seasonal event: the August edition ran 4-31 August 2026, July had one before that, and versions of the format go back to at least 2024. Old cycles stay online and downloadable on AEON BiG's own promotions page, which is how the August-versus-September comparison above was assembled. Expect an October edition, and expect the SKU list to move again.
