> Quick view: as at 7 September 2026, Big Bad Wolf has no live sale anywhere in Malaysia, but the next stop is dated: Miri, 24 September to 4 October 2026, at Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri. Kota Bharu ended 2 August and the Kuching leg at Boulevard Shopping Mall ran to 6 September. The corporate events index still carries no Miri page — the dates are in the brand's own campaign artwork. The book deal that is actually live is the RM100 Baucar Buku MADANI, usable at Big Bad Wolf and BookXcess online through Book Capital — never at a counter.

Where the 2026 Malaysian tour actually stands

Big Bad Wolf's own events index lists six Malaysian legs for 2026 — Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Seremban, Kedah, Kelantan and Kuching. Every one of them is now finished:

  • Kota Bharu, Kelantan — Mydin Mall Tunjong, 23 July to 2 August 2026. Ended.
  • Alor Setar, Kedah — Stadium Sultan Abdul Halim, 30 July to 9 August 2026. Ended.
  • Kuching, Sarawak — Boulevard Shopping Mall, 25 August to 6 September 2026, 10am to 10pm, free admission. Its final day was 6 September 2026. The brand's own event page for this leg also advertised an early-bird voucher giveaway for the first 50 customers, subject to terms.

No seventh Malaysian leg appears on that index. If you came here searching for Kota Bharu, the honest answer is that there is nothing left to drive to this month.

Miri is announced, and the dates were inside the artwork

Big Bad Wolf Miri runs 24 September to 4 October 2026 at Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri, daily 10am to 10pm. The campaign line is "Miri, Book Deals Sitok Nang Murah!" and the poster carries the same badges as Kuching — books from RM3, up to 95 per cent off. That is an eleven-day run against Kuching's thirteen.

Big Bad Wolf published it as a reel on Instagram on 4 September 2026, and to Facebook on 5 September, tagged to the location Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri. The caption said only "Coming to your town....sooner than you think"; the dates are printed inside the video's artwork. That is why the stop was reported in several places — including an earlier version of this article — as teased but undated. As at 7 September there is still no Miri entry on the corporate events index, which continues to end at Kuching.

One venue note: boulevardmall.my is not the Miri mall's site — that domain covers the Boulevard group's Kuching and Bintulu properties. Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri is a separate operator at Lot 2528, Boulevard Commercial Centre on the Miri–Pujut road, phone 085-432 999, and it keeps its own Facebook page.

The online store that looks open but is not

my.bbwbooks.com still fronts a "BBW Hot Box Book Sale 2026" with four mystery boxes — Small Box RM99.90, Big Box RM129.90, Combo Alpha RM199.90 and Combo Omega RM299.90 — under a banner promising early access before the public. All four are sold out. Those listings went live on 18 January 2026 for the Hot Box sale that ran 7 to 15 February 2026 at Hextar World, Empire City. The storefront is a leftover from February, not a sale you can still join.

What is actually live: the RM100 Baucar Buku MADANI

This is the one book deal a Malaysian student can use today, and Big Bad Wolf is inside it. The Education Ministry's Baucar Buku MADANI 2026 gives an RM100 e-voucher to secondary students under KPM, and Big Bad Wolf's own announcement confirms the voucher works at Big Bad Wolf and BookXcess through the Book Capital platform.

The terms that matter, taken from the official DELIMa Book Capital portal:

  • Value is RM100 per eligible recipient, with 2,039,257 secondary students expected to receive one. Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh put the total allocation at RM210 million when the digital rollout was announced.
  • Eligible groups are Form 1 to Form 6 students, plus matriculation and Institut Pendidikan Guru students. No application is needed — recipients are identified from ministry records.
  • Redemption started 1 July 2026. You activate it by logging in at delima.bookcapital.com.my with your DELIMa ID, and the RM100 credit appears on your dashboard.
  • It cannot be spent in a physical bookshop. The portal states plainly that purchases must go through the Book Capital platform, which is why a Big Bad Wolf fair counter will not take it.
  • You must include at least one title from the "Judul Khas" category — national laureate works, world classics, literary award winners, history, philosophy, economics, geopolitics, AI, technology, IT and STEM.
  • It is a single transaction. Everything you want goes in one checkout, the voucher can be used once, and any unspent balance is forfeited. You may top up with your own money if the basket exceeds RM100.
  • It cannot be converted to cash or transferred to anyone else.

The catch nobody mentions: Big Bad Wolf lists one eligible Judul Khas

Here is the part that decides whether the Big Bad Wolf route works for you. Because at least one Judul Khas title is compulsory, the seller you buy from has to stock one — and Big Bad Wolf's Book Capital store lists 4,738 books but only one Judul Khas. Its sister brand BookXcess lists 4,527 books and two.

So a student who wants to spend the whole RM100 at Big Bad Wolf has exactly one compulsory title to choose from, and if it does not suit, the special title has to come from another seller on the platform. Since everything must sit in a single transaction, plan the basket in this order: find your Judul Khas first, anywhere on Book Capital, then fill the rest of the RM100 with Big Bad Wolf stock.

What RM100 buys at Big Bad Wolf online

Online prices are nothing like fair prices, and it is worth seeing the gap in ringgit before you feel short-changed:

  • Diary of a Wimpy Kid volumes run RM24.90 each on Big Bad Wolf's Book Capital store, so four of them is RM99.60 — RM0.40 of voucher forfeited, and four books for the whole RM100.
  • Think and Grow Rich is also RM24.90. Cheaper stock exists: The Witchstone Ghosts at RM14.90, and several titles at RM19.90.
  • Mix at RM19.90 and RM14.90 and RM100 stretches to six or seven books rather than four.
  • At a physical Big Bad Wolf fair, where the floor price is RM3, RM100 would have bought roughly 33 books. That is the real cost of the tour being between legs.

Who this suits — and who should skip

Go the voucher route if you are a Form 1 to Form 6, matriculation or IPG student who has not redeemed yet — it is free money with a deadline problem, and unredeemed vouchers benefit nobody.

Skip it if you are not in one of those groups. There is no public version of this voucher for adults. If you want a physical sale, Big Bad Wolf Miri opens on 24 September 2026 and runs to 4 October; POPULAR's bookfair circuit is running in Sarawak in the meantime.

Fine print worth settling first

  • The deadline is 31 October 2026. The DELIMa Book Capital portal itself publishes no closing date, and third-party guides circulated two conflicting ones, but BookXcess's own official redemption guide states the redemption window as 1 July 2026 to 31 October 2026. That is the operator's own figure, so treat it as the one to work to.
  • Delivery is to the address you register at checkout, and the portal does not guarantee free shipping — it says shipping depends on programme terms and system configuration at the time.
  • If the RM100 credit does not appear, the portal's route is Help, then Open New Ticket, not your school office.
  • If your voucher shows as already used, raise a support ticket immediately for investigation.
  • The voucher is explicitly not valid at a physical Big Bad Wolf fair, Miri included. BookXcess's own redemption guide states all purchases must go through Book Capital's official platform and that physical Big Bad Wolf locations are not eligible. This is now a stated exclusion, not merely an unstated one.

How to be first to the next leg

  • Instagram, then Facebook, is where Big Bad Wolf breaks each stop first — and the dates are often inside the artwork rather than the caption. The Miri announcement went up on Instagram on 4 September 2026 and Facebook on 5 September, with the dates printed only on the poster. The Kuching opening-day offer was published on Facebook too. Open the image; do not read only the caption.
  • The corporate events index at bigbadwolfbooks.com carries the formal listing once dates are locked, usually after the social tease.
  • Membership registration is free on the brand's own membership site. No member perk has been published for a future leg, but it costs nothing to hold.
  • Sarawak readers: the Miri venue is Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri, Lot 2528, Boulevard Commercial Centre on the Miri–Pujut road, 085-432 999. Note that boulevardmall.my covers only the group's Kuching and Bintulu malls — Miri keeps its own Facebook page, and as at 7 September it had not yet posted about the sale.
