> Quick view (30 October 2026): tomorrow, Saturday 31 October 2026, is the last day to spend the school RM100 Baucar Buku MADANI on Book Capital. The higher-education voucher on MySiswaPlace closed on 28 September 2026. If you are a school, matriculation or IPG student and have not spent your RM100 yet, do it today rather than on the last night.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced the 2026 book voucher on 29 May 2026 at the opening of the 43rd Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (PBAKL). Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh later said the Ministry of Education's share covers students from Form One to Form Six, matriculation and teacher training institutes, with a total allocation of RM210 million, redeemed online only to prevent misuse. Separately, the Ministry of Higher Education runs its own RM100 voucher for students at higher education institutions.
This guide is based on the two official FAQ pages, re-read on 9 October 2026, and on Bernama's reports of 1 July and 19 October 2026: Perbadanan Kota Buku's Book Capital for DELIMa page and Yayasan Perkasa Siswa's MySiswaPlace FAQ.
Where things stand on 30 October 2026
School side (Book Capital, through DELIMa): last day Saturday 31 October. Bernama's report on the 1 July launch states the voucher can be redeemed until 31 October on the BookCapital platform, and the retailers and publishers selling there, such as PMe Bookshop, give 11.59pm that night as the cut-off. Book Capital's own DELIMa FAQ, last re-read on 9 October, prints no closing date. On 19 October 2026, Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh told Bernama that 97.34% of eligible students, 2.17 million of about 2.23 million, had redeemed, against an allocation of RM230 million, and that the ministry was aiming for 100% by 31 October. No extension was mentioned. If you are in the remaining few per cent, do not wait for the last night: a missing DELIMa password can only be reset by the school's DELIMa coordinator, and schools are closed on a Saturday.
University side (MySiswaPlace): closed. The FAQ's "NOTIS PENTING" set 21 September 2026, 11.50pm as the last date to redeem (generate) a voucher and 28 September 2026, 11.50pm as the last date to complete a purchase. Both have passed. The answer just below the notice still says the voucher must be spent by 31 October, but the notice is the later and stricter rule, and no extension has been posted. If you believe you qualified and were never listed, the FAQ sends you to your institution's Student Affairs office (HEP).
Budget 2027: no book voucher, so what about 2027?
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim tabled Budget 2027 on Friday 9 October 2026. The full speech text published by the Finance Ministry has no book voucher in it, for school or university students. The student items it does carry:
- FlySiswa digital flight voucher raised from RM400 to RM500 for 60,000 students flying between the Peninsula, Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan (RM30 million).
- Celik MADANI extended to 200,000 more university students, each with an initial RM50 investment in ASB or ASM (RM10 million).
- The RM2,500 lifestyle tax relief, which already covers reading material including e-books, stays at RM2,500 and from year of assessment 2027 also covers AI software subscriptions and some pet-care costs. So books bought with your own money still count towards it.
The silence is not the end of the voucher. The 2024 RM100 voucher was announced when Anwar opened PBAKL 2024, and the 2026 one at the opening of PBAKL on 29 May 2026, not in a Budget speech either year. A separate RM100 teachers' book voucher in 2025 was redeemed by 428,027 teachers and education officers, worth RM42.8 million, according to Utusan Malaysia. If there is a 2027 voucher, the likeliest moment to hear about it is the 2027 book fair, usually held around late May.
What does not carry over: an unspent 2026 balance. Both vouchers are one-off and are forfeited if unused, so a 2027 programme would not top up anything left from this year.
Which voucher is yours
- Secondary school students under KPM (including Form Six), plus matriculation and Institut Pendidikan Guru students: the KPM voucher on Book Capital, through DELIMa. Book Capital's FAQ puts the number of secondary school recipients at 2,039,257. You do not apply. Recipients are identified from the ministry's own records, and a student who has changed schools is still covered, subject to the ministry's current record.
- Students at public universities, polytechnics, community colleges and private higher education institutions under KPT: the KPT voucher on MySiswaPlace. The Ministry of Higher Education puts this group at 1.18 million students, and redemption opened at 11am on 15 July 2026, two weeks after the school side.
Route 1: DELIMa and Book Capital (schools, matriculation, IPG)
- Log in to DELIMa with the student's DELIMa ID and password. If the password is lost, the school's DELIMa coordinator resets it, not Book Capital.
- Click "Tebus Baucar Buku MADANI 2026" on the DELIMa home page. You are signed in to Book Capital by single sign-on, and RM100 credit appears on the dashboard. Another email account cannot be used in place of DELIMa.
- Pick at least one "Judul Khas" book. This is compulsory. The Special Titles shelf was screened by an evaluation committee and covers works by National Laureates, world classics, literary award winners, history, philosophy, economics, geopolitics, artificial intelligence, technology, IT and STEM. Book Capital's store also runs a separate Special Titles shelf for Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan. Once that one compulsory title is in the cart, the FAQ says the rest of the balance can go on any of the 950,000-plus titles carried on the platform.
- Add everything else to the same cart. The voucher is one-off: every book must be in a single transaction, and any unused balance is forfeited. You can pay above RM100 yourself.
- Check out with the Book Voucher payment option and wait for delivery to the address you registered. Book Capital says whether delivery is free depends on the programme settings, and that timing depends on the seller and courier.
Book Capital's FAQ gives 1 July 2026 as the start date. The retailers and publishers selling on the platform state redemption runs until 31 October 2026. Physical bookshops are not part of it, so a student cannot hand over the voucher at a book fair counter.
If the RM100 is not showing, Book Capital asks you to check that you used the right DELIMa account, then open a ticket through "Help?" and "Tiket Baru". The same ticket route is how to report a voucher used without the student's knowledge.
Route 2: MySiswaPlace (universities, polytechnics, colleges) — closed 28 September 2026
This route is kept here as a record of how the 2026 higher-education voucher worked, since a 2027 edition, if there is one, is likely to run the same way.
Who qualifies. All of these must be true, according to the MySiswaPlace FAQ:
- You are a Malaysian citizen studying in Malaysia (students overseas are excluded).
- You were an active student on 31 March 2026.
- You are studying at certificate, foundation, diploma, postgraduate diploma, bachelor's, master's or PhD level, or a recognised professional course at diploma level or above.
- Your institution is under KPT: a public university, polytechnic, community college or private higher education institution.
- Full-time or part-time both count.
The FAQ also settles the edge cases. Students on industrial training or work-based learning qualify. Students who entered without going through UPU qualify. Students convocating in 2026 qualify if they were still active on 31 March. Students who finished before 31 March but have not convocated do not, and neither do students whose studies were deferred on that date.
How to redeem, step by step:
- Register on mysiswaplace.my with an email address. A security code is sent to it, so you cannot log in without email.
- Check eligibility with your IC number and matric number. If you qualify, the RM100 is stored on the platform in your name.
- Shop the listed sellers. The seller list on MySiswaPlace runs from university presses to large retailers such as MPH, Popular, BookXcess and Big Bad Wolf. The RM100 is for books and academic reading material only. Stationery is not covered, and the checkout separates what the voucher pays for from what you pay.
- Mind the 12-day window. A generated voucher code is valid for 7 days, with a 5-day grace period, so 12 days in total. If you do not complete the purchase inside it, the value is cancelled automatically.
- Pay any excess by FPX or e-wallet. The RM100 must also cover delivery and packaging, so a RM100 book with shipping will cost you more than nothing.
How it ended. The notice set 21 September to generate the code and 28 September to finish buying, which squeezed the 12-day window from the far end: a code generated on 21 September had seven days of buying time, not twelve. The 31 October date further down the same page was never the one to plan around.
If you believe you qualify but your name is not listed, MySiswaPlace sends you to your institution's Student Affairs office (HEP). For problems redeeming, it offers live chat on the site and its helpdesk.
Getting the most out of RM100 on the last day
- Build the whole cart before paying. The voucher is one transaction. A single RM25 Special Titles book checked out alone loses the other RM75.
- Do the sum before checkout. Say you pick one RM25 Special Titles book and two RM30 novels: that is RM85, and the remaining RM15 is forfeited. Adding a fourth book of RM15 or more, and paying any amount above RM100 yourself, uses the voucher in full.
- Price delivery in. Book Capital says whether delivery is free depends on the programme settings, and timing depends on the seller and courier, so check the shipping line in the cart.
- Check the DELIMa login today, Friday. If the student cannot log in, only the school's DELIMa coordinator can reset it, and schools are closed on Saturday 31 October.
- Keep the confirmation. Book Capital's invoices carry the courier's tracking number, and the "Support Ticket" icon on the invoice is the route for delivery problems.
