The offer

GSC Cinemas, in partnership with SPayLater (Shopee's Buy Now Pay Later service), is offering Buy 1 Free 1 on Normal 2D movie tickets from 28 July to 31 August 2026, confirmed on GSC's own official promotions page:

  • Buy one Normal 2D ticket, get a second one free
  • Valid daily for the full promo period
  • Available at GSC cinemas nationwide — except Aurum Theatre and Velvet Cinemas, which are excluded
  • Must be booked via the GSC website or mobile app, with SPayLater selected as the payment method at checkout

How to redeem

  1. Pick your movie, date, time and GSC location on the GSC website or app
  2. Select 2 Normal 2D adult tickets
  3. Proceed to checkout and choose SPayLater as your payment method
  4. Complete payment — the second ticket is free

Fine print

  • Normal 2D tickets only — IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, Gold Class, Dolby and other premium formats aren't included
  • Daily redemptions are capped and given out on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible SPayLater users — book early, especially for popular showtimes
  • Cannot be combined with other ongoing promotions, coupons, or loyalty/privilege cards (GSC Rewards, etc.)
  • Excludes Aurum Theatre and Velvet Cinemas locations
  • You'll need to be an eligible SPayLater user (Shopee's BNPL service) with the option active on your account to pay this way

Tips

  • If you don't already have SPayLater set up in your Shopee app, check your eligibility a day or two ahead so you're not scrambling at checkout for a same-day movie
  • Since the daily cap is first-come-first-served, book earlier in the day rather than waiting for a popular evening slot to sell out
  • Double-check your chosen hall is a Normal 2D screening before paying — premium formats won't qualify even if the movie title is the same
