Status: the reopening and September deals are over, the store is trading
Guardian's reopening promotion at Gurney Paragon Mall ran 31 July to 30 August 2026, and September's Beauty Days, with its RM0.10 second item, ended on 29 September. The outlet itself is trading. Guardian's own store locator still lists it on 22 October at 163D-LG-07 & 08, Gurney Paragon Mall, Persiaran Gurney, 10250 Penang, on the lower ground floor. The mall's contact page gives its hours as 10am to 10pm daily.
The discounts at the Gurney Paragon shelf now come from two national deals. Everything below was checked on 22 October 2026 against guardian.com.my, including a guest shopping cart, and Guardian's terms portal at guardianmy.com.
What is live at the shelf: 22 to 26 October
Guardian's terms page and campaign artwork both date this window 22 to 26 October 2026, Thursday to Monday. It is a Syok-ing Sale, so every number is a ceiling, not a flat rate. There are four lines, all for "participating brands and ranges only", while stocks last:
- Cosmetics & Fragrances: up to 40% off
- All Skin Care: up to 40% off
- Personal Care: up to 40% off
- Health Care: up to 40% off
This is the fourth Thursday-to-Monday window in a row. Guardian ran the same four "up to 40%" lines on 8 to 12 and 15 to 19 October, after Beauty Days and Syok-ing Sales on 1 to 5 October.
How deep "up to 40%" really goes
We priced every product in the four pools on 22 October: 4,500 in total. None is at full price, and every sale price carries an end date of 26 October.
- Cosmetics & Fragrances (1,728 products): the best of the four. 727 (42%) are at 40% or deeper, and 283 are at 50%, above the poster's own ceiling. The most common cut is 30% (642 products). Kiss imPRESS press-on nails are RM9.18 against RM45.90, 80% off.
- All Skin Care (1,511): 510 (34%) reach 40% or more; the most common cut is 30% (665). Jumiso Niacinamide 20 Serum 40ml is RM27.30 against RM91.
- Personal Care (953): only 171 (18%) are at 40%, and nothing goes deeper. The most common cut is 35% (270). Sunsilk Shampoo 625ml is one of the 40% items: RM15.90 against RM26.50.
- Health Care (308): the weakest. Only 38 (12%) reach 40%. One product beats it: Kordel's Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg + Vitamin D3 30s at RM32.40 against RM64.80. Blackmores Omega-3 Triple Strength Fish Oil 60s is RM94.20 against RM157.
So for make-up the headline is honest more often than not. For shampoo, toothpaste and vitamins, expect 30-35%.
59% off the 2nd item, to 3 November
Guardian's October deal runs 30 September to 3 November 2026 on a 576-product pool. We tested it in an unauthenticated guest cart on guardian.com.my on 22 October.
- Two BLOOD Menstruheat Patch 2S: RM17.48 against RM24.80. The cart applies a discount labelled "2nd @ 59% Off (Promotion is based on normal price)", so the second pack costs RM5.08 and the pair works out at RM8.74 a pack, 29.5% off overall.
- Mixed products of one range work: a Menstruheat plus a BLOOD Backheat Patch also came to RM17.48.
- A third item is not discounted: three Menstruheat cost RM29.88, one pair plus one at full price.
- It does not stack with a markdown: 378 of the 576 products are at normal price. The rest are already cut, and those get the markdown or the pair, never both.
The pair gives 29.5% overall, so a single product at 40% this week is the better buy. Use the 59% deal for things the Syok-ing Sale doesn't touch.
The RM0.10 pair is gone, and the basket shows it
In September, two Sunsilk 625ml cost RM26.60 at the till, RM13.30 a bottle. On 22 October the same two bottles cost RM31.80 in our guest cart, two at the RM15.90 markdown, with no pair discount. A single bottle is cheaper than in September, but a pair is RM5.20 dearer.
We have priced the same three-item restock since the Syok-ing Sale in September: Sunsilk Shampoo 625ml, Neurobion 60s and Kordel's Vitamin C + D3 10s. On 22 October it costs RM78.90:
- Sunsilk 625ml: RM15.90 (40% off RM26.50), down from RM17.22
- Neurobion 60s: RM45.72 (40% off RM76.20), unchanged
- Kordel's Vitamin C + D3 10s: RM17.28 (40% off RM28.80), up from RM14.40
That is RM52.60 (40%) under the RM131.50 normal price, and RM1.56 more than on 27 September (RM77.34).
Two smaller pools worth a look
- Save up to 50% (96 products, 30 September to 3 November): the headline is thin. Only one product reaches 50%, Summerie Fresh & Lighten Feminine Hygiene Wash 150ml at RM6.95 against RM13.90. The average cut is 22%, and 7 products are at full price.
- Your Haze Shield (30 products): 22 are at full price. The real deal is Guardian 3 Ply Medical Mask for Children 50s at RM15 against RM35, to 3 November.
Online orders: Gurney Paragon is not a pickup point
Guardian's click-and-collect list has 59 stores nationwide on 22 October, and six of them are in Penang: Gurney Plaza (Lot 170-B1-05, Basement 1), 1st Avenue, E-Gate, Solaria Square, Sunway Carnival Prai and Auto City Prai. Gurney Paragon is not one of them, so the nearest collection counter is the Gurney Plaza Guardian on the same stretch of Gurney Drive.
If you order online and don't collect:
- Delivery: RM7 for up to 3kg in Peninsular Malaysia, plus RM1 for every extra kg, and free above RM100 on the website and app.
- First app order: code FIRSTAPP12 takes RM12 off a first purchase of RM100 or more on the Guardian app, one use per account.
Who should go this week, and who should wait
Go before Monday 26 October if you are buying make-up or skin care: more than a third of each pool is at 40% or deeper, and nothing is at full price.
Don't make a special trip for shampoo, body wash or vitamins. Most of those are at 30-35%, and September's RM0.10 pair was the far better deal.
Use the 59% pair if you need two of something from one range that isn't already marked down. It runs to 3 November, so it outlasts this week's sale. If Guardian keeps its October rhythm, the next weekly window opens on Thursday 29 October; its terms usually appear on guardianmy.com on the day.
Guardian at Gurney Paragon, for the record
Guardian's Facebook announcement set out three reopening perks, running 31 July to 30 August 2026:
- An extra 5% storewide instant rebate on a single receipt of RM50 or more, open to all shoppers
- 2X MyPoints for Guardian members on storewide purchases
- A free Guardian reusable bag with a RM30 single-receipt spend, limited to the first 50 customers each day
No coupon was part of it. Guardian's KIPMall Senawang reopening (7 to 20 August) did carry a free RM5 coupon, which is why the question keeps coming up. The weekly windows since then:

Fine print
- Every line is for participating brands and ranges only, and everything is while stocks last. Some products are only stocked at selected stores, so check the shelf tag.
- The 59% pair is priced off the normal price, pairs within one range, and does not add to an existing markdown.
- The "Win RM300,000 in Prizes" tile still sits in Guardian's rewards menu, but its own artwork dates the contest 29 April to 2 June 2026. It is over.
- FIRSTAPP12 and the weekday online deals do not apply at the Gurney Paragon counter.
- Free delivery above RM100 applies in Peninsular Malaysia only; Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan have a different rate card.
