Is the free RM10 coupon still on?

No. The most recent window ran 23–28 July 2026. As of 13 September 2026 we found no newer coupon window announced on Guardian's X account (@GuardianMYS), which is where Guardian posted the May, June and July windows, and none in the Malaysian deals press either. That is a 47-day gap, the second-longest this year after the 68 days between March and May.

One thing that does not settle it: Guardian's weekly terms-and-conditions posts on guardianmy.com never listed the coupon, even in the weeks it ran. So their silence proves nothing either way. Watch the X account instead.

How the coupon worked

The fine print was the same on every 2026 poster we checked (23–25 May and 25–30 June):

  • Buy any item, any amount, in a single receipt at a Guardian store during the window.
  • You receive one free RM10 coupon at the counter.
  • The coupon is for in-store purchases only. It never applied on guardian.com.my or the app.
  • Redeem it on your next purchase, with a minimum spend of RM100 in one receipt.
  • Terms and conditions apply and it is while stocks last, so a store can run out before the last day.
  • No promo code and no membership requirement appear on the posters.

Every 2026 window we could trace

  • 1–4 February 2026: in-store, any purchase
  • 13–16 March 2026: in-store, any purchase
  • 23–25 May 2026: posted on Guardian's X account on 22 May as a "coupon surprise"
  • 25–30 June 2026: posted on 24 June, alongside that week's Beauty Days and Syok-ing Sale
  • 2–6 July 2026: paired with a selected-tissue offer (second item for RM0.10)
  • 9–13 July 2026: posted on 8 July
  • 23–28 July 2026: the last window so far

Seven windows, each three to six days long. Guardian gave roughly one day's notice each time it posted on X, so you cannot plan far ahead. If it returns, expect a short window that starts the day after the post.

What the coupon is really worth: worked examples

These use prices listed on guardian.com.my on 13 September 2026. Shelf prices can differ, so treat them as illustrations.

  • Earning it costs almost nothing. A Colgate Plax Peppermint 100ml at RM2.99 was enough, because any purchase qualified.
  • Redeeming at normal prices: Blackmores Vitamin C 500mg (60 tablets) at RM47.50 plus Cetaphil Skin Cleanser 473ml at RM75.65 comes to RM123.15. The coupon cuts it to RM113.15, which is about 8% off.
  • The markdown trap: during this week's Syok-ing Sale the same two items are RM33.25 and RM56.73, a total of RM89.98. That is under RM100, so the coupon would not apply. Adding a Dettol Shower Gel Gold 950g at RM22.05 lifts the basket to RM112.03, or RM102.03 after the coupon. The posters do not say whether the RM100 is checked before or after sale prices, so ask at the till.
  • The best rate is exactly RM100, which gives 10% off. The rate falls as you spend more: at RM200 the same coupon is only 5%.

Who it suited, and who could skip it

It suited regular Guardian shoppers who already spend RM100 or more per visit on vitamins, skin care or household refills, and who can split a shop across two trips.

You could skip it if your usual Guardian basket is under RM100. Topping up by RM30 to save RM10 means spending RM20 more than you planned. It was also no use for online-only shoppers.

What's live at Guardian now (13 September 2026)

  • Syok-ing Sale, 10–14 September 2026: All Skin Care up to 40% off, Cosmetics & Fragrances up to 50%, Personal Care up to 40%, Health Care up to 40%, All Deodorant 30%, All Sanitary Protection up to 30%. Participating brands and ranges only, while stocks last.
  • FIRSTAPP12: RM12 off a first purchase of RM100 or more in the Guardian MY app, one use per registered account. On a RM100 order that is 12%, better than the coupon ever gave, but you can only use it once.
  • Free delivery: online orders of RM100 or more ship free within Peninsular Malaysia.

Fine print for the next coupon window

  • The coupon's own expiry date is not printed on the poster. Read it on the coupon itself when you get it.
  • The posters do not say whether two coupons can be used on one RM200 receipt, so don't count on stacking them.
  • This offer has never used a code. A "Guardian RM10 code" on a coupon-listing site is something else.
