What the three pairings are

Häagen-Dazs announced Weekday Indulgence on its Malaysian Instagram account on 24 September, as a five-slide post. Every slide carries the same line: available at all Häagen-Dazs stores from 28 September onwards, Monday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm, excluding public holidays, T&Cs apply.

  • Perfect Pair, RM17.90: pick any two from a Single Scoop, Coffee or Waffle. The waffle is flagged as a new recipe.
  • Shakes for Two, RM39.90: any two milkshakes from Regular Milkshake, Coconut Bliss (the gula Melaka cendol shake), Kopi Kaw Shake and Mango Orange Fizz.
  • Milkshake + Any 1, RM26.90: one milkshake with a Single Scoop, Coffee or Waffle.

No end date has been announced. We will keep this listed through October and update it if the brand posts a closing date.

What you would normally pay

These are the prices on Häagen-Dazs' own pickup-ordering menu for its 1 Utama café, read on 28 September 2026:

  • Single Scoop: RM11.90 (Double Scoop RM19.90)
  • Café Latte: RM12.50 hot, RM13.50 iced
  • Milkshake, Kopi Kaw Shake, Coconut Bliss, Mango Orange Fizz: RM33 each

The new waffle is not on the pickup menu, so we could not price it on its own.

Worked examples

A scoop and a hot latte after lunch. Normally RM11.90 + RM12.50 = RM24.40. On the Perfect Pair it is RM17.90, saving RM6.50. Make the latte iced and the saving goes up to RM7.50.

Two friends, two shakes. Two RM33 shakes are RM66. Shakes for Two brings that to RM39.90, or RM19.95 each, a saving of RM26.10. That is about 40% off and the best value in the set.

One person who wants a shake and a scoop. RM33 + RM11.90 = RM44.90, down to RM26.90, saving RM18. If two people each order this combo they pay RM53.80, so a pair who both want a shake should take Shakes for Two and add a scoop for RM11.90 instead (RM51.80 total).

Who it suits, and who should skip it

It suits office workers near Mid Valley, Bangsar or 1 Utama who can slip out mid-afternoon, parents collecting children from school before 6pm, and anyone already at the mall on a weekday. The shake deal in particular makes a RM33 drink feel reasonable.

Skip it if you can only go in the evening or on weekends, because the pricing simply does not apply then. There are only eight cafés, all in KL, Selangor, Putrajaya and Penang, so it is no use elsewhere. Supermarket pints and stick bars are not part of it.

Where it runs

All Häagen-Dazs cafés in Malaysia, per the brand's store locator: Mid Valley Megamall and Bangsar Village II in KL; 1 Utama in Petaling Jaya; AEON Bukit Tinggi in Klang; IOI City Mall in Putrajaya; and Queensbay Mall, Bellisa Row in Pulau Tikus, and Sunway Carnival in Seberang Jaya on the Penang side.

The fine print that trips people up

  • Thursday at 6pm is the cut-off. A Friday visit or a 6.15pm order pays full price.
  • Public holidays are excluded, even when they fall between Monday and Thursday.
  • "Coffee" is not defined. The posts do not say whether flavoured lattes or iced drinks count, so ask before ordering.
  • Whether two of the same item counts is not stated. If you want two single scoops for RM17.90, check first. A Double Scoop is RM19.90 on the menu anyway.
  • Unpublished T&Cs. The brand says terms apply but has not posted them, so dine-in and delivery treatment may differ by café.
