> Status (checked 8 October 2026): the Hanabishi voucher deal is running again. Sunshine Retail Penang's Home & Kitchen Upgrade Month runs 1 October to 1 November 2026 — spend RM150 on Hanabishi products, get a RM10 voucher — the same mechanic as the July edition that ended on 2 August. Prices, worked baskets, the five outlets and the rest of Sunshine's October offers are below.

The Hanabishi deal: how it works

  1. Shop Hanabishi appliances at a participating Sunshine outlet between 1 October and 1 November 2026.
  2. Reach RM150 on Hanabishi products — other brands in the same basket do not count toward the threshold, according to the poster's wording ("Spend RM150 on Hanabishi products").
  3. Collect a RM10 voucher. Sunshine's poster does not state the voucher's validity or whether it can be spent the same day, and the July edition issued it for the next purchase, so plan to use it on a later visit and check the expiry printed on it.

The poster does not say "single receipt", but the July edition did, so treat RM150 as a one-receipt threshold rather than splitting purchases across visits.

Participating outlets

  • Sunshine Square, Bandar Bayan Baru
  • Sunshine Hypermarket @ Sunshine Central Penang (B2-01), Farlim
  • Sunshine Pop Up Store @ Sunshine Central Penang (B1-01)
  • Sunshine Jelutong
  • Sunshine Bertam, Kepala Batas — the one mainland store on the list

  • ZEN Cool Touch Kettle 1.7L (HA9838) — RM79 (no normal price shown)
  • Tempered Glass Top Single Burner (HG19) — RM119 (normally RM149)
  • 2-in-1 Blender 1.8L with Grinder (HA3190BG) — RM109 (normally RM139)
  • Non-Stick Rice Cooker 1.8L (HA3318RN) — RM99 (normally RM119)

  • S/Steel Double Burner (HG11) — RM89 (normally RM98.45)
  • 2-in-1 Blender 1.5L with Grinder (HA3822B) — RM79 (normally RM109)
  • ZEN Sandwich Maker (HA5133S) — RM59 (normally RM69)
  • Portable Gas Stove (HG550) — RM49 (normally RM56.70)

The biggest cuts on the poster are the 1.5L blender (RM30 off) and the glass-top burner (RM30 off); the smallest is the portable gas stove (RM7.70 off).

Worked examples

  • One air fryer: the ZEN Air Fryer 4L at RM159 clears RM150 by itself, so it earns the RM10 voucher — an effective 6.3% back on your next visit.
  • Kettle + 1.5L blender: RM79 + RM79 = RM158, which qualifies. Against the blender's RM109 normal price you also save RM30 on the shelf, so the pair is worth RM40 including the voucher.
  • Rice cooker + gas stove: RM89 + RM49 = RM138 — RM12 short. Adding the RM59 sandwich maker takes you to RM197 and the voucher; swapping the gas stove for the RM79 kettle (RM168) also works.
  • Two rice cookers for family: ZEN 1L RM89 + Non-Stick 1.8L RM99 = RM188, qualifies, and saves RM40 against the two normal prices before the voucher.

Who it suits — and who should skip

  • Suits: Penang households already replacing a small appliance, and regular Sunshine shoppers who will actually come back to spend the RM10.
  • Skip if: you only want one item under RM150 (the kettle, blender or sandwich maker alone earn nothing extra), or you live far from the five outlets — the voucher is worth little if you never return.

Fine print

  • Sunshine is a Penang-only chain (Sunshine Wholesale Mart Sdn Bhd, under Suiwah Corporation Bhd); none of these offers apply outside the state.
  • Items are while stocks last, and Sunshine announces most offers only on its Facebook page and Instagram, often a day ahead.
  • Price an appliance against Harvey Norman on the same mall floor at Sunshine Central before you buy.
