> Status on 14 September 2026: no Michael Kors sale is live at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets. The brand's most recent offer was the mall's 15th Anniversary Sale entry, up to 60% off selected items from 10 to 13 September, and it ended yesterday. The 29 July-2 August Special Sale this article first covered is also over. Checked today against the mall's own deals list, store records and anniversary event page.
Is there a Michael Kors sale at Genting Premium Outlets right now?
No. Here is what the mall's own site shows today:
- Special Sale list: 11 brands are on it (Charles & Keith, Pedro, Puma, Nike, Sunglass Hut and others). Michael Kors isn't one of them
- Store records: both Michael Kors units have no deal attached
- VIP Shopper Club list: 44 standing member offers, none of them for Michael Kors. A free VIP sign-up gets you nothing extra at this store
- Anniversary Sale: it ran 10-13 September. The Michael Kors line read "Enjoy up to 60% savings on selected items", with no extra-item tier
So if you are driving up this week, you pay the store's normal outlet prices. There is no extra percentage on top.
Michael Kors sales here, 2025-2026
- 29 July-2 August 2026: up to 60% off selected items, plus an extra 20% off with two selected items. This was the best-structured of the three, because the extra 20% rewarded a two-piece basket. The dates and both figures came from a Malaysian deals aggregator, as the mall and brand didn't list this window
- 10-13 September 2026 (15th Anniversary Sale): up to 60% off selected items, from the mall's own event page. Same headline, but no extra 20%
- Late November 2025 (Black Friday): this one isn't from an official source. A Google Maps reviewer who visited on 24 November 2025 wrote that everything was 40-50% off, with a further 25% off three or more items until month end. Treat it as one shopper's report
The pattern is roughly one short sale every one to three months, and each tends to tie in with a mall-wide event (Merdeka month, the anniversary, Black Friday). Nothing has been announced for October to December 2026 yet. If the brand repeats last year, late November is the next likely window, but that is a guess, not a date.
What "up to 60% off plus 20%" actually saved
This uses a bag with a RM1,000 original price as the example. "Up to" is the ceiling, and most items on the floor are discounted less.
- One bag at the full 60%: RM400
- Two bags in the July sale: RM800 at 60% off, then an extra 20% off, which comes to RM640. That's RM320 each, about 68% off retail. The mall didn't say whether the 20% applied to the already-reduced price, but that's the usual outlet reading
- Two bags in the September anniversary sale: RM800, with no extra tier
- Two bags this week: normal outlet price, whatever the tag says
For a two-item basket, the July sale was RM160 cheaper than the anniversary sale. That's why a headline percentage alone doesn't tell you which sale was better.
Store details
- Michael Kors (women's): Suite 712, Middle Street
- Michael Kors Mens: Suite 710, Middle Street, next door. Google Maps lists the two units together as "Michael Kors Outlet, Suite 710 & 712"
- Phone: +603 6436 8051 (one number for both units)
- Hours: 10am-10pm daily
- Getting there: from car park levels B1-B8, take the escalator in the center section up to Middle Street (the mall's own wayfinding)
- Address: Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, KM13, Genting Highlands Resorts, 69000 Genting Highlands, Pahang. It's about 45 minutes from central KL, but it is in Pahang, not the Klang Valley
A locator trap to know about: Michael Kors' own store locator for Malaysia doesn't list the Genting outlet. The only outlet it shows is Johor Premium Outlets. The Genting store is trading: the mall lists both units, and Google Maps shows it open with 47 reviews. Don't rely on the brand locator to confirm it.
Michael Kors' other Malaysian outlet is at Johor Premium Outlets, Suite 232, Low Street (+607 590 9305, 10am-10pm). It had no anniversary sale entry this month and has no VIP offer either.
Mall perks that work at Michael Kors now
These are mall-wide programmes from the mall's own event pages, not Michael Kors offers:
- Shop More. Win Bigger. (10-20 September 2026): there's no minimum spend, and receipts from Genting and Johor Premium Outlets add up together. You register each original receipt on the day of purchase at the Information Center and through "VIP Deals" in the Premium Outlets Malaysia app. Reprinted receipts don't count. The top spender gets a RM30,000 Premium Outlets gift voucher. Second place wins a trip to Seoul for two, third a trip to Shanghai for two, and the next 15 each get a PlayStation 5. Winners will be announced on 1 October 2026. Realistically, this only matters if you're making a very large purchase
- Free cable car return ticket: spend RM200 in a single receipt, Monday to Thursday, not on public holidays, valid to 31 December 2026. Almost any Michael Kors wallet or bag clears RM200, so a weekday visit gets this without trying
- Free train ride ticket: the same RM200 single receipt works on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, but only for Premium Outlets Malaysia app members, to 31 December 2026
- Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards (9 September-31 December 2026): earn GP at participating stores and redeem through the RW Genting app. 6GP in a day gets a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day ticket, 3GP a Skytropolis ride pass, and 2GP two Eufloria Gardens tickets. The mall hasn't published a list of participating stores, so ask the Michael Kors cashier whether your receipt earns GP
- Maybank redemption: spend RM1,000 over two receipts for a RM50 voucher. It's limited to Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei, so Malaysian-issued Maybank cards don't qualify
Who should go now, who should wait
- Go this week if you want one specific piece and would buy it at outlet price anyway. Shop on a Monday-Thursday to collect the cable car ticket, and register the receipt for the top-spender contest while it runs to 20 September
- Wait if you're shopping for two or more items. The last two sales cut up to 60%, and the July sale added 20% more for two pieces. Paying undiscounted outlet price on a multi-item basket right after a sale ended is the worst timing
- Look next door if you're flexible on brand. Charles & Keith and Pedro both have up to 50% off plus an extra 20% on two selected items until 20 September. Kate Spade New York (Suite 534) gives VIP Shoppers a RM100 instant rebate on RM1,000 in one receipt, and Furla (Suite 528) gives VIP Shoppers 10% off on RM1,800. Coach (Suite 800) currently has neither
Fine print
- "Selected items" has never been broken down for any Michael Kors sale here. Ask at the counter which pieces qualify before building a basket
- The July sale window came from a deals aggregator. The brand's and the mall's official pages didn't list it
- Outlet discounts are off the original retail price. Michael Kors' own website blocks automated checks from Malaysia, so no mainline price comparison was possible for this update
How to check for the next sale
- Open the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Deals page. Brand sales appear there with exact "VALID" dates
- Open the mall's Events page during big campaigns (Merdeka, anniversary, year-end). Some brand offers only appear inside the event page, not in the Deals list
- Call the store on +603 6436 8051 before a long drive
Check Genting Highlands Premium Outlets' official Michael Kors store page before you go.
