Is there a Michael Kors sale at Genting Premium Outlets this October?
No. Here is what the mall's own site shows on 9 October:
- October deals list: 25 brands, from Aigner and Max Mara to Nike and Swarovski. Michael Kors isn't one of them
- October Weekend Specials (9-11 October): the mall's "up to 65%" weekend event lists 16 brands. Michael Kors isn't there either
- Store records: both Michael Kors units (Suite 712 and Suite 710) show no deal attached
- VIP Shopper Club list: 44 standing member offers for 2026. None of them is for Michael Kors, so a free VIP sign-up gets you nothing extra at this store
- Johor Premium Outlets: its current deals list of 23 offers has no Michael Kors entry either
So if you drive up this weekend, you pay the store's normal outlet prices. The only extras are mall-wide perks (below).
The leather and handbag sales you can use instead this month
If what you want is a designer bag at a sale price rather than this exact label, four stores at the same mall have one in October. All terms are from the mall's own deal pages:
- Marc Jacobs, 9-11 October: 50% off storewide, or 60% off when you buy two selected items. Its VIP deal adds a further 10% off selected items, all year
- Kate Spade New York, 9-11 October: the deal page says 60% off selected items, and the weekend event page says selected items from RM799. Ask which pieces qualify. Its VIP deal is a RM100 instant rebate on RM1,000 in one receipt
- Aigner, 1-22 October: 50% off storewide, then an extra 5% on two selected items, 10% on three and 15% on four
- Carlo Rino, 1-31 October: a selected item at RM79, and a second selected item at RM79
Furla isn't on the October sale list, but its VIP deal (10% off RM1,800 in one receipt) runs all year. Max Mara and Melium Designer Outlet also run up to 60% off plus up to 25% more on four items until 22 October, but they sell clothing more than bags.
What two RM1,000 bags would cost this weekend
This uses two bags with an original price of RM1,000 each, so RM2,000 at full retail. "Up to" figures are ceilings, so this is the best case:
- Michael Kors: normal outlet price, whatever the tag says. There's no extra percentage this month
- Marc Jacobs (two selected items): 60% off comes to RM800, or RM400 a bag
- Aigner (two selected items): 50% off is RM1,000, then the extra 5% brings it to RM950
- Michael Kors in its July sale, for comparison: up to 60% off plus an extra 20% on two selected items, which came to RM640. That's the best two-piece price this store has offered in 2026
The gap shows why waiting for a Michael Kors window makes sense if you're set on the brand and buying more than one piece.
Michael Kors sales here, 2025-2026
- 29 July-2 August 2026: up to 60% off selected items, plus an extra 20% off with two selected items. The dates and both figures came from a Malaysian deals aggregator, as the mall and brand didn't list this window
- 10-13 September 2026 (15th Anniversary Sale): up to 60% off selected items, from the mall's own event page. No extra multi-item tier
- Late November 2025 (Black Friday): this one isn't from an official source. A Google Maps reviewer who visited on 24 November 2025 wrote that everything was 40-50% off, with a further 25% off three or more items until month end. Treat it as one shopper's report
The store has joined the big mall-wide campaigns (July-August, the anniversary) but sat out the smaller weekend events, including this October one. Nothing has been announced for November or December 2026. If the brand repeats last year, late November is the next likely window, but that is a guess, not a date.

A locator trap to know about: Michael Kors' own store locator for Malaysia doesn't list the Genting outlet. The only outlet it shows is Johor Premium Outlets. The Genting store is trading, and the mall still lists both units on 9 October. Don't rely on the brand locator to confirm it.

Mall perks that work at Michael Kors now
These are mall-wide programmes from the mall's own event pages, not Michael Kors offers:
- Free cable car return ticket: spend RM200 in a single receipt, Monday to Thursday, not on public holidays, valid to 31 December 2026. Almost any Michael Kors wallet or bag clears RM200, so a weekday visit gets this without trying
- Free train ride ticket: the same RM200 single receipt works on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, but only for Premium Outlets Malaysia app members, to 31 December 2026
- Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards (9 September-31 December 2026): earn GP at participating stores and redeem through the RW Genting app. 6GP in a day gets a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day ticket, 3GP a Skytropolis ride pass, and 2GP two Eufloria Gardens tickets. The mall hasn't published a list of participating stores, so ask the Michael Kors cashier whether your receipt earns GP
- Maybank redemption (to 31 December 2026): spend RM1,000 over two receipts for a RM50 voucher. It's limited to Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei, so Malaysian-issued Maybank cards don't qualify
The September top-spender contest (Shop More. Win Bigger.) closed on 20 September.
Who should go now, who should wait
- Go now if you want one specific Michael Kors piece and would buy it at outlet price anyway. Shop Monday to Thursday to collect the cable car ticket
- Wait if you're buying two or more Michael Kors pieces. The July sale cut a two-bag basket to RM640 on RM2,000 of retail. Paying undiscounted outlet price for the same basket is the worst timing
- Switch brands this weekend if you're flexible. Marc Jacobs' 60% on two items and Kate Spade's sale both end on 11 October, and Aigner's tiered sale runs to 22 October
Fine print
- "Selected items" has never been broken down for any Michael Kors sale here. Ask at the counter which pieces qualify before building a basket
- The July sale window came from a deals aggregator. The brand's and the mall's official pages didn't list it
- Kate Spade's two official pages disagree this weekend (60% off vs from RM799). Check in store
- Outlet discounts are off the original retail price. Michael Kors' own website blocks automated checks from Malaysia, so no mainline price comparison was possible
How to check for the next sale
- Open the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Deals page. Brand sales appear there with exact "VALID" dates
- Open the mall's Events page during big campaigns (year-end, Black Friday). Some brand offers only appear inside the event page, not in the Deals list
- Call the store on +603 6436 8051 before a long drive
