On 7 October 2026 Starbucks Malaysia posted "Out of Office, In For Lunch": one hot meal with any Grande-sized beverage from RM25, 12pm to 3pm daily, with ten meals to pick from. No end date has been published. The breakfast combo from RM15 (6am to 12pm) also continues, so October now has a food-and-drink deal on both sides of noon.
The RM25 lunch set has returned
An earlier version of this article, checked on 5 October, said there was no RM25 lunch set in October 2026. Two days later that changed. Starbucks Malaysia's Instagram account, @mystarbucks, posted a poster on the evening of 7 October 2026 with this offer:
- 1 hot meal + any Grande-sized handcrafted beverage
- From RM25
- 12pm to 3pm, daily
- "T&Cs apply", with no end date printed
The ten meals
The caption lists every meal that qualifies:
- Signature BBQ Chicken Rice
- Pilaf Chicken Kofta Rice
- Vegetarian Kofta Rice
- Nasi Goreng Sate Ayam
- Chicken Meatball Spaghetti Bolognese (the dish on the poster)
- Mac & Cheese
- Classic Lasagna
- Braised Beef Sandwich Deli Style
- Mushroom Melt Sandwich Deli Style
- BBQ Chicken Sandwich Deli Style
Four are rice dishes, and one, the Vegetarian Kofta Rice, is labelled vegetarian.
What Starbucks has not said yet
- Which meals cost more than RM25. "From RM25" means RM25 is the cheapest pairing. The post does not say which of the ten meals, or which drinks, push the price up.
- The terms. For its Wednesday and Drive-Thru offers this month, Starbucks posted numbered terms as a comment under the post. The lunch post had no comments at all on the morning of 8 October.
- Excluded stores. The January 2025 version excluded Genting Highlands, Berjaya Hills and airport stores. Don't assume October's list is the same until Starbucks publishes it.
- An end date. None is printed.
How it compares with the January 2025 lunch set
The last official RM25 lunch set ran from 7 to 31 January 2025: RM25 for one of three Deli Style sandwiches (Braised Beef, BBQ Chicken or Mushroom Melt) plus any Grande handcrafted beverage, 12pm to 3pm daily, with a RM1.50 upsize.
October's version keeps the same hours and the same RM25 entry price. What changes is the menu: three sandwiches have become ten meals, including rice and pasta dishes, and the price is now "from RM25" rather than a flat RM25. The comparison table below sets the three combos side by side.
Still running: the breakfast combo from RM15
On 3 October 2026 Starbucks posted "A Good Morning Starts Here": a hearty breakfast combo from RM15, daily from 6am to 12pm. The poster shows a brewed coffee and a pastry. Starbucks still hasn't named the items, the higher tiers or an end date. Ask at the counter what the RM15 version includes.
The two combos now run back to back. Breakfast ends at noon and lunch starts at noon. Between 3pm and closing there is no food deal.
Drink deals during lunch hours
These come from Starbucks' October calendar (30 September) and its 5 October Wednesday post. None of them include food, and no two offers combine, so you can't use any of them on the lunch set's drink.
- Monday, 12pm to 5pm: Buy 1 Free 1 on any handcrafted beverage (12, 19 and 26 October remain).
- Tuesday: RM5 off any handcrafted beverage when you show a Starbucks tumbler.
- Wednesday: RM9.90 for a Grande Asian Dolce Latte, Caramel Macchiato or Aerocano, all day (14, 21 and 28 October). See our RM9.90 Wednesday guide.
- Thursday: any Grande for RM10 when you wear green.
- Sunday 11 October: Members Day Buy 1 Free 1 when you pay with the Starbucks app or a registered Starbucks Card.
Worked example: one lunch break, three ways
Starbucks doesn't publish a public price list, so these figures use only prices Starbucks itself printed.
- Lunch set at 1pm: a meal and a Grande drink from RM25. It's the only October offer that discounts food after noon.
- Wednesday at 1pm, drink only: RM9.90 for one of the three drinks. That leaves RM15.10 of the RM25 for food. Unless your meal costs RM15.10 or less on the menu, the lunch set is better value.
- Two people at 11.30am: two breakfast combos from RM30, food included, if the RM15 version covers what you want.
If you want food with your coffee after noon, the lunch set is now the only option. If you only want drinks, the Wednesday, Thursday and Monday prices are cheaper.
Drive-Thru: free chips, but check your windscreen
Starbucks' Drive-Thru offer this month gives a free bag of Joybean Truffle Potato Chips when you spend at least RM30. The brand's own terms, posted as the first comment on its 2 October reel, add a condition the poster leaves out: it applies only to cars with the new Starbucks Drive-Thru sticker. The terms also say it's while stocks last, one bag per transaction, Drive-Thru orders only, not valid with any other promotion, and card reloads or activations do not count towards the RM30.
What ended on 30 September
- The RM80 card reload reward (free Grande plus 2 Grande for RM16.90) ended on 30 September. October's version is an RM80 activation with a free Grande plus 28% off your next Grande, used within 7 days. See our card activation guide.
- September's RM9.90 Wednesday line-up (with Kopi Kaw Latte and Ais Kepal Frappuccino) ended. October's Wednesday has different drinks.
Who should skip the lunch set
- You order on Grab, foodpanda or the app for pickup. Starbucks' offers this month are counter-only where terms exist, and the lunch set's terms aren't published yet. Don't assume it works on delivery.
- You just want coffee. RM9.90 Wednesdays and RM10 Thursdays beat RM25 if you don't need the meal.
- You eat after 3pm. The set stops at 3pm.
Fine print worth repeating
- The lunch poster and the breakfast poster both say only "T&Cs apply". Upsizes, add-ons and milk swaps have been charged extra on every Starbucks Malaysia offer whose terms we could read.
- Starbucks' October Wednesday terms exclude Genting Highlands, Berjaya Hills, Semporna and airport stores (Subang Skypark included). The October card activation said all Starbucks stores in Malaysia. Each offer has its own list, so check the one you're using.
- No two offers stack. Starbucks Malaysia can change or cancel any promotion without notice.
