POPULAR Sungai Petani: The Bookfair Ended 16 Aug — and Village Mall Is Not in the 28-31 Aug Big Sale
The POPULAR Bookfair at Village Mall, Sungai Petani ended on 16 August 2026. The awkward part: of Kedah's three POPULAR stores only Aman Central in Alor Setar made the 43-store Big Sale list, so Village Mall stays at normal prices. What Sungai Petani shoppers do get: the chain-wide Super Holiday Promotion to 16 September and the members' 20% storewide gift certificate to 27 September.
POPULAR Bookfair @ Farley Mall Kuching Ended 16 Aug — and Farley Has No POPULAR Store. Where to Go Now
The POPULAR Bookfair at Farley Mall, Kuching ran 6-16 August 2026 and is over. Unlike other stops on the circuit there is no permanent POPULAR store at Farley Mall to fall back on, so Kuching shoppers have to move: a 20% storewide Big Sale at AEON Mall Kuching Central and Vivacity Megamall from 28-31 August, and a bookfair at Emart Tabuan Jaya running all the way to 1 November 2026.

The POPULAR Bookfair at AEON Mall Kulaijaya closed on 16 August 2026 and is off POPULAR's Ongoing Promotions page. The permanent POPULAR store upstairs at Lot G-21 is one of eight Johor outlets on the Big Sale list, 28-31 August: 20% off storewide with no card and no buy-two condition, a free RM10 cash voucher on RM150 nett, and a 3M Scotch kitchen scissor at RM38 instead of RM67.50.
