Finding a licensed maid agency in Malaysia, minus the guesswork
Hiring a domestic helper in Malaysia — whether a local part-time cleaner or a foreign live-in maid from Indonesia or the Philippines — almost always runs through an employment agency licensed under Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources (JTK) and, for foreign helpers, coordinated with the Immigration Department (JIM). These agencies handle candidate sourcing, biodata matching, training, work permit and Fomema medical processing, and after-placement support such as replacement if a helper runs away or turns out to be a poor fit.
The eight agencies below are currently operating with a real, findable official website or social media page as of 2026. Coverage is mostly Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor), since that's where the bulk of Malaysia's maid agency industry is concentrated, though several serve households nationwide.
What each agency actually offers
Services worth comparing include: whether the agency places local helpers, foreign live-in maids, or both; whether part-time/hourly cleaning is available alongside full-time live-in placements; how long the stated replacement/warranty window is if the maid runs away or doesn't work out; and what nationalities of helper (Indonesian, Filipino, Cambodian) are on offer. We've only listed guarantee periods and years-in-operation where an agency's own website stated them directly — we have not invented any fee figures.
A note on licensing
Any agency recruiting foreign domestic helpers into Malaysia is required to be authorised by the Ministry of Human Resources (JTK) and to operate within Immigration Department (JIM) rules for foreign worker placement. When shortlisting an agency, it's reasonable to ask for their licence details directly rather than relying solely on marketing claims — this article does not verify individual licence numbers and none should be assumed beyond what's stated below.
Choosing between them
If you want a large, well-known, decades-old operator, Innovedge, AP Sands, Agensi Pekerjaan Hai Yang, and AP Cosmoten (Wellplan) have all been in the market since the early 2000s or earlier. If you want a shorter commitment or part-time/hourly help rather than a full-time live-in maid, Global Ace's cleaning packages are worth a look. If you're outside the Klang Valley, Top Quick is Johor Bahru-based but serves clients across Malaysia.
