> Quick view: Harvey Norman Malaysia's Malaysia Day Mega Sale ended on 16 September 2026, but most vacuum prices did not move. On 17 September the same markdowns carried a new flag, No Gimmicks, Just the Best Prices, which runs 17 September to 1 October 2026 in stores and online. We priced all 148 results on Harvey Norman's vacuum search that day. Of the 116 actual machines, 106 are discounted, and the savings under that one flag still run from 1.7% to 81.3%. The old vacuum-only sale (23 July-5 August) is long gone, and its page still returns "Page Not Found".

Malaysia Day ended. The prices mostly stayed.

The previous version of this page priced the vacuum category on 3 September, when nearly every markdown wore a red "Malaysia Day Mega Sale!" flag ending 16 September. The obvious worry was that prices would bounce back on the 17th. For vacuums, they did not.

Harvey Norman removed Malaysia Day from its catalogues-and-promotions index and put No Gimmicks, Just the Best Prices in its place. The old campaign page still loads, frozen on its 3-16 September dates, so the index is the real proof it has ended. On the vacuum search, 98 of the 106 discounted machines now carry the No Gimmicks flag. We compared every price we had recorded on 3 September against 17 September, and 26 were identical, including:

  • Tineco Floor One i7 Fold: RM1,498 (was RM7,999), same as 3 September
  • Ecovacs Deebot X11 OmniCyclone: RM4,499 (was RM16,999), same
  • Roborock Saros 20 Sonic: RM5,999, same
  • Samsung POWERbot Essential: RM1,099, same
  • Electrolux Z-1220 CompactGo: RM249, same
  • Elba AIRGLIDE GO: RM398, same
  • All seven Dyson models still listed, same

In practice, the Malaysia Day deadline you may have rushed for was not a price deadline for vacuums. The new deadline is 1 October. We are not going to guess what happens on 2 October, because Harvey Norman has not announced anything past that date.

What actually changed on 17 September

Four things changed, and two of them are good for buyers.

  1. The Tefal X-PERT 7.60 (TY6A35HO) got cheaper. It was RM418 on 3 September and is RM399 now (was RM1,399, so 71.5% off). It is now one of the 16 listings above 70% off, and the only one that is not a robot or a wet-dry washer.
  2. A full-price Tineco is now marked down. The Tineco Floor One i7 Stretch Stream sat at RM5,399 with no discount on 3 September. It is now RM1,999, a 63% cut, and it carries no campaign flag at all, so no published date says when it ends. The same goes for the Karcher SE 4 Plus spray extractor (RM1,862, was RM1,899), which lost both its Malaysia Day flag and its RM100 gift card.
  3. All the vacuum gift cards are gone. On 3 September, eleven vacuums came with a free Harvey Norman gift card worth RM30 to RM250, including the RM250 card on the Ecovacs Deebot X11. On 17 September, none of the 116 machines carries one. The gift-card campaign still runs to 30 September on other appliances, but no vacuum listing is attached to it.
  4. Four models are no longer on the list: the Dyson V12s Origin Submarine (RM2,198 on 3 September), the LG CordZero A9 Air (RM998), the Tineco iFloor Y3 Stretch (RM839) and the Panasonic MC-CL605 canister (RM585). If you were watching one of those, it is not in the search results any more.

Four campaign clocks, and the TnG credit maths

Not every discounted vacuum is on the No Gimmicks clock. Three brand campaigns still run next to it, and each adds Touch 'n Go eWallet credit that you claim after buying:

  • No Gimmicks, Just the Best Prices: 17 September to 1 October 2026, 98 machines, price cut only
  • Samsung 2026 Merdeka Celebration: purchases 1 July to 30 September 2026, redemption by 15 October, and one redemption per participant. Two Bespoke AI cordless sticks, each listed with RM300 credit
  • Electrolux Swedish Thinking, Better Living: purchases 15 July to 30 September 2026, redemption by 15 October. One vacuum left: the UltimateHome 700 robot, listed with RM200 credit
  • LG Celebrate A Better Home: purchases 1 August to 1 November 2026 on a single invoice, with credit and gift redemption by 30 November. Three CordZero models, listed with RM100 to RM200 credit

A correction to our 3 September version: that page said LG's campaign ran "to 30 November". 30 November is the redemption deadline. Purchases must be made by 1 November.

If you count the credit, here is what each brand-campaign vacuum really costs:

  • Samsung Bespoke AI 280W (VS80F28DPP): RM2,999 minus RM300 credit is RM2,699 effective, 35.7% below its RM4,199 was-price (the listed cut alone is 28.6%)
  • Samsung Bespoke AI 400W (VS90F40DFG): RM3,399 minus RM300 is RM3,099, 31.1% below RM4,499
  • LG CordZero A9Komp (A9K-Ultra): RM2,799 minus RM200 is RM2,599, 38.1% below RM4,199
  • Electrolux UltimateHome 700 robot: RM1,759 minus RM200 is RM1,559, 42.7% below RM2,719

The credit is paid after you submit your invoice online, not taken off at the till, so you still pay the full shelf price first. LG adds one more layer. If your one invoice pairs a CordZero with an eligible LG product from a different category (a TV, fridge, washer or air-conditioner), and the total reaches RM3,000 to RM4,999, you get another RM150 of credit. At RM5,000 to RM6,999 it is RM250, and at RM7,000 or more it is RM400. A vacuum bought on its own does not qualify for that extra.

One flag, 1.7% to 81.3%

The flag on a listing still tells you nothing about the size of the cut. Across the 106 discounted machines, the median saving is 30.1%, but the range is enormous.

At the deep end:

  • Tineco Floor One i7 Fold wet-dry: RM1,498, was RM7,999 (81.3%)
  • Tineco Floor One S7 Stretch Max: RM1,599, was RM7,699 (79.2%)
  • Ecovacs Deebot T30C Prime Omni robot: RM2,048, was RM7,999 (74.4%)
  • Ecovacs Deebot X11 OmniCyclone robot: RM4,499, was RM16,999 (73.5%)
  • Tineco iFloor Y2 cordless wet-dry: RM698, was RM2,599 (73.1%)
  • Ecovacs Deebot T50S Pro Omni robot: RM2,699, was RM9,999 (73.0%)

At the shallow end, under the same kind of flag:

  • Roborock Saros 20 R&D robot: RM5,799, was RM5,899 (1.7%)
  • Karcher SE 4 Plus spray extraction: RM1,862, was RM1,899 (1.9%)
  • Karcher VC 3 Plus: RM488, was RM499 (2.2%)
  • Ecovacs Deebot T30S Pro robot: RM4,799, was RM4,999 (4.0%)
  • Roborock Saros 20 Sonic robot: RM5,999, was RM6,299 (4.8%)

Sixteen listings clear 70% off, and thirteen are under 10%. The Roborock Saros 20 R&D still shows the problem most clearly. It appears twice in the same search: once flagged at RM5,799 "was RM5,899", and once as "Saros 20 R & D" with no flag, also at RM5,799. We opened both product pages on 17 September, and both show RM5,799.

What each type of vacuum costs

The depth of the discount follows the type of machine, not the brand or the campaign. That was true on 3 September and is still true now.

  • Robots and self-emptying docks: 28 of 30 discounted, RM1,099 to RM5,999, median 50% off
  • Cordless sticks, handhelds and wet-dry washers: 57 of 64 discounted, RM398 to RM3,799, median 31.6%
  • Canister, barrel and upright: 20 of 21 discounted, RM249 to RM2,699, median 14.3%

Robots and floor washers have the highest was-prices, so they have the most room to be cut. Canisters never had much margin to give away. If you want a big percentage, look at robots. If you just want a cheap vacuum that works, buy a canister and ignore the percentage. The Electrolux Z-1220 CompactGo at RM249 (22% off) is still the cheapest real vacuum on the list, with the Electrolux Z-1230 and the Philips 1000 Series XB1042 both at RM289.

Dyson, priced on 17 September

Seven Dyson models are listed, all under No Gimmicks and all at their 3 September prices:

  • V8 Cyclone (SV55): RM1,398, was RM1,999
  • Clean + Wash Hygiene hard floor cleaner (WR03): RM1,698, was RM2,499
  • V10 Optic (SV55A): RM1,898, was RM2,499
  • V12 Origin: RM1,998, was RM2,499
  • V12 Detect Slim Fluffy (SV46): RM2,498, was RM3,299
  • V12 Detect Slim Absolute HEPA: RM2,598, was RM3,599
  • RB05A Spot+Scrub Ai robot: RM4,298, was RM5,999

The V8 is still the entry point. The V12s Origin Submarine, which was RM2,198 on 3 September, is no longer listed, so the V12 Origin at RM1,998 is now the cheapest V12.

What is not discounted at all

Ten machines have no was-price and no campaign flag:

  • Roborock Saros 20 R & D (second listing): RM5,799
  • Hizero F-600 all-in-one hard floor cleaner: RM4,500
  • Ecovacs Winbot Mini 2 window robot: RM4,299
  • Shark CleanSense IQ+: RM2,999
  • Hizero Bionic F200: RM1,599
  • Karcher SE 3: RM1,299
  • Shark StainForce spot cleaner: RM1,149
  • Shark Cordfree handheld, grey or black: RM699 each
  • Iris Ohyama RNS300 vacuum rinser: RM638

If one of these is the machine you want, the current sale gives you nothing on it, and no campaign for it has been announced.

How to buy before 1 October

  1. Pick the type first. A canister is cheap and does the job. A cordless stick suits stairs and cars. A robot or wet-dry washer takes the work off your floors. Big percentages will otherwise pull you towards a machine you did not want.
  2. Read the flag on the listing, not the banner on the homepage. No Gimmicks ends 1 October. Samsung and Electrolux purchases close 30 September. LG runs to 1 November. Two discounted models, the Tineco i7 Stretch Stream and the Karcher SE 4 Plus, have no flag and no published end date.
  3. Work out the real saving yourself. Divide the now-price by the was-price. Thirteen flagged machines are under 10% off.
  4. Count the TnG credit only if you will actually claim it. It means an online form, an uploaded invoice and a deadline (15 October for Samsung and Electrolux, 30 November for LG).
  5. Do not assume a store poster beats the website. The last store-only vacuum price we tracked, 168 Park Mall's RM438 Tefal X-PERT 7.60 (27 August-9 September), was dearer than the website even then. Online, that model is now RM399.
