> Quick view: KOSÉ Malaysia has set up a J-Beauty Mega Sale on Level G of The Starling, Damansara Uptown, from 28 October to 1 November 2026. The banner says up to 75% off KOSÉ, Sekkisei and DECORTÉ. The prices printed on KOSÉ's own poster land between 40% and 55% off the webstore price, which is still a good deal on brands that rarely discount. It ends on Sunday 1 November.
KOSÉ is a Japanese beauty group, and in Malaysia it sells mainly through department-store counters and its own webstore at kose.com.my. Its best-known lines here are Sekkisei (the blue bottles), the Make Keep setting and sun range, and its premium label DECORTÉ. The Starling lists the sale on its official What's On page, with the location and dates, and KOSÉ's campaign poster carries the same details. On 29 October, kose.com.my was still selling these products at full price with no strike-through prices. We checked again on 30 October: none of the 236 products in the webstore had a markdown, so this pop-up is still the only place with the discount.
What is on the tags
These three prices are printed on the sale tags in KOSÉ's own campaign poster. We checked the "before" prices against kose.com.my where the product is listed there.
- KOSÉ Make Keep UV Protector SPF50+: RM27, down from RM48. You save RM21 (44%).
- Sekkisei Cleansing Cream 140g: RM74, down from RM123 (the same price kose.com.my lists). You save RM49 (40%).
- DECORTÉ Sun Shelter (tone-up CC): RM98, down from RM220. You save RM122 (55%).
Other prices were posted with the campaign, but we could not see them on KOSÉ's own channels, so treat them as indicative. They are DECORTÉ Zen Wear Foundation at RM88 (from RM220), the Perfect Makeup Remover at RM30 (RM48 on kose.com.my), and the Sekkisei Brightening Essence Lotion 200ml at RM74 (RM130 on kose.com.my, so about 43% off).
None of these reaches 75%. The deepest cuts are usually on a few items with limited stock or older packaging, so if you see 75% on a tag, check the box and the expiry date before you pay.
Worked examples
A sunscreen-and-cleanse top-up. Make Keep UV Protector (RM27) plus Sekkisei Cleansing Cream (RM74) comes to RM101. At webstore prices the same pair is RM171, so you keep RM70, about 41%.
A DECORTÉ splurge. The Sun Shelter at RM98 is the biggest ringgit saving on the poster, RM122 off. If the Zen Wear Foundation is really RM88 on the day, a foundation and the Sun Shelter together would be RM186 against RM440 before. Test the foundation shade at the counter first, because a 60% discount is no use on the wrong shade.
Who should go, and who can skip it
Go if you already use Sekkisei or Make Keep and want to stock up. These products rarely get discounted on KOSÉ's webstore, and sunscreen and cleanser are things you finish. It also suits anyone curious about DECORTÉ, which normally sells at department-store prices.
Skip it if you are after one particular Sekkisei Blue serum or a newer launch. A clearance-style pop-up shows selected stock, and nothing says the newest ranges are included. You can also skip it if you cannot get to PJ by Sunday, because there is no matching online sale.
Fine print that trips people up
- Selected items only. "Up to 75%" is the best price on the floor, not the price of everything. The Starling's listing says terms apply and to check with the retailer.
- Bring your own bag. KOSÉ's poster asks shoppers to bring a reusable bag in support of sustainability, so do not count on a free carrier.
- Finish dates matter. With skincare, check the manufacturing or expiry date on the box, especially on the steepest markdowns.
- Last day is Sunday 1 November. Popular shades and sizes go first, so earlier in the run is safer.
Getting there
The Starling is in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya, and the sale sits on Level G near Nando's. The Starling's What's On page lists no other beauty event alongside it, and the Samsonite Friends & Family Sale in the same mall already ended on 26 October.
