> Status, 14 September 2026: Live It Up Homestore's Merdeka Sale has ended — it ran 1 to 31 August 2026 with up to 90% off selected cookware, food storage and drinkware. The store itself is still trading at Lot LG306A, LG Oval, 1 Utama New Wing (03-7710 9288), and its Facebook page is now posting item-by-item clearance prices instead of a store-wide banner. The lowest-priced one is a Hello Kitty x Chefmade saucepan at RM69.
Is the Merdeka Sale still on?
No. The sale was a Merdeka-month markdown that ended with August, and Live It Up's Facebook page shows no store-wide follow-up campaign. Live It Up is also not on 1 Utama's own Trending Promo list for September, which carries campaigns for tenants such as Nitori, Nespresso and Toys "R" Us.
What replaced it is narrower and more useful: individual posters with a normal price, a clearance price and the words "limited stocks only". None of them prints an end date, so treat every price below as good while stock lasts, not until a date.
Live It Up clearance prices as of 14 September 2026
These are read off Live It Up's own posters on its Facebook page. The newest, the Zwiesel Glas Dialogue post, went up on the evening of 13 September.
- Zwiesel Glas Dialogue crystal votive candle holder / vase: normal price RM299, clearance RM99. That is about 67% off, and the caption rounds it to "up to 70%".
- Zwiesel Glas Taste 6-piece wine glass set (Bordeaux or Burgundy): normal price RM539, promotional price RM188. That is about 65% off, or roughly RM31 a glass. The poster adds a free Chabatree cutting/cheese board worth RM98.
- Zwilling Motion Plus titanium ceramic non-stick: frypan 20cm RM399 → RM169; frypan 26cm RM799 → RM299; wokpan 30cm RM899 → RM359. The "Combi" of all three is RM749 against a printed normal price of RM2,099.
- Hello Kitty x Chefmade 16cm non-stick saucepan with lid: RM139 → RM69, a saving of RM70 (50%).
- Zwilling Now pink tableware (chopsticks and ceramic bowls): the poster headline is "save up to 80%". Check the per-set price in store.
Every poster carries "Terms and Conditions Apply" without printing the terms, so ask at the counter before assuming a price stacks with anything else.
The Zwilling Combi maths
The Combi looks like the headline deal, so it is worth checking. The three pans bought one by one at clearance cost RM169 + RM299 + RM359 = RM827. The Combi is RM749, so bundling saves another RM78. Against the printed normal price of RM2,099, that is about 64% off, which matches the poster's "saving up to 64%".
One small thing: the three individual normal prices add up to RM2,097, RM2 less than the Combi's printed normal price. It doesn't change the decision, but it shows the "normal price" on a bundle is a label, not a sum.
The bundle only makes sense if you want all three pieces. If you only need a 26cm pan, RM299 on its own is the better buy. Adding the 20cm pan and the wok to reach the bundle costs RM450 more than that.
How this compares with the August sale
The August sale advertised "up to 90%" but never published which lines reached it. The September posters are the opposite: fewer items, but real before-and-after prices. None of them reaches 90%. The deepest per-item cut we can calculate is the Dialogue vase at about 67%, and the only higher headline is Zwilling Now's "up to 80%".
So if you skipped August waiting for the deepest discount, you have not missed a published RM price. What you may have missed is general stock, since August covered food storage and drinkware across the store, while September's posters are almost all premium German brands.
Who should go now — and who should wait
Go now if you already wanted Zwilling non-stick or Zwiesel Glas stemware. The prices above run from half to about a third of the printed normal price, and the posters say stock is limited. Handle the pans in store, because weight and handle balance are what a poster cannot show you.
Wait if you want everyday kitchen basics rather than a named brand. Nothing on the September clearance posters covers food containers or budget cookware; the one drinkware post is about getting flasks customised in store, not a discount. Also wait if you are after the Hello Kitty range for a gift and need a particular colour or size, since only one saucepan is advertised.
While you are there: 1 Utama's own events calendar lists a Best Denki Anniversary Roadshow on the LG Oval Concourse from 15 to 20 September, a few steps from Live It Up. It also lists a Tefal Krups roadshow by Harvey Norman on the 2nd Floor, near Mi Home, from 8 to 20 September. That makes the next week a good time to compare a Zwilling pan against Tefal in one trip.
Getting there and fine print
- Address: Lot LG306A, LG Oval, Lower Ground floor, 1 Utama New Wing, Bandar Utama, 47800 Petaling Jaya. Live It Up's own directions say it is on the same row as Best Denki and Adidas.
- Phone: 03-7710 9288. It is worth calling to hold an item, since stock is limited and posters don't list quantities.
- Mall hours: 10am–10pm Sunday to Thursday, 10am–10.30pm Friday and Saturday. Malaysia Day on Wednesday 16 September is a public holiday, so expect weekend-level crowds.
- Transport: Bandar Utama MRT (Kajang Line) connects to the mall by a covered walkway.
- Online: Live It Up keeps a storefront on ONESHOP, 1 Utama's online mall. Its prices are set separately from the in-store posters, so don't assume the clearance price applies there.
