> Quick view: Oh Cha Matcha has opened a kiosk on the UC Floor of Avenue K, the mall across Jalan Ampang from Suria KLCC, and is running four opening deals back to back from 21 September to 18 October 2026. Week 1 (now) is Buy 1 Free 1 on drinks. For most people the best-value week is Week 4, when the premium drinks drop to RM10.

Oh Cha Matcha is a Kuala Lumpur matcha bar that started in TTDI and now has a dozen counters in Klang Valley malls, from 1 Utama and Sunway Pyramid to MyTOWN and KLGCC Mall. It imports its matcha from Uji in Kyoto and is known for dairy-free milks and its gula melaka Malaysia Matcha Latte. The Avenue K counter is its newest. In its own announcement the brand promised "4 weeks. 4 matcha deals", and the schedule below comes from that post. The prices we use come from Oh Cha Matcha's Beep ordering menu, read on 22 September 2026.

The four weeks, and what each one is worth

Week 1, 21 to 27 September: Buy 1, Free 1 beverage. This is the week running now. On Beep, the opening listing sets out the mechanics: add at least one drink to your cart, pick your free drink from a set list, then apply code ILOVEOCMC at checkout. The free-drink options change daily, and you get one free drink per customer per day.

  • Buy a Malaysia Matcha Latte (RM12.90) and take a free drink. That's two drinks for RM12.90, or RM6.45 each.
  • Buy a Ceremonial Matcha Latte (RM22.20) and the free one is only a bonus. Your paid drink is still the expensive one, so this is the least efficient way to use the week.
  • The listing asks for "a minimum of 1 DRINK" without naming a minimum price. On paper, the cheapest drink on the menu, Matcha Jasmine Tea at RM7.90, would qualify. Check at the counter before you count on it.

Week 2, 28 September to 4 October: Buy 1, Free 1 soft serve. The Beep menu has no plain soft serve cup with a price, so we can't put a ringgit figure on this week. The nearest items are the pick-up-only OCMC x Royce' Matcha Parfait (RM13.90), which is built on matcha soft serve, and the Matcha Float (RM15.90), a matcha latte topped with soft serve. The post doesn't say whether either counts as "soft serve" for the deal. Ask before you order two.

Week 3, 5 to 11 October: second drink 50% off. This works best for two people ordering similar drinks.

  • Two Malaysia Matcha Lattes: RM12.90 + RM6.45 = RM19.35, a saving of RM6.45.
  • Two Strawberry Matcha Lattes (RM13.90 each): RM20.85, saving RM6.95.
  • A Ceremonial Matcha Latte (RM22.20) with a classic Matcha Latte (RM10.80): if the half-price applies to the cheaper cup, as it usually does at KL cafes, you pay RM27.60 and save RM5.40. The post doesn't say which cup is discounted.

Week 4, 12 to 18 October: all drinks RM10. The pricier your usual order, the more you save.

  • Ceremonial Matcha Latte: RM22.20 down to RM10, saving RM12.20 (55%).
  • XL protein matcha lattes (20g protein): RM19.90 down to RM10, saving RM9.90.
  • Strawberry Matcha Matcchiato: RM16.90 down to RM10, saving RM6.90.
  • Classic Matcha, Hojicha or Genmaicha Latte (RM10.80): you save only 80 sen, so this week isn't worth a special trip for them.

Who it's good for, and who should skip

Good for: the office crowd around KLCC and Jalan Ampang, who can walk over at lunch. Pairs who split drinks do well in Weeks 1 and 3. Anyone who has been curious about ceremonial-grade matcha but balked at RM22.20 should wait for Week 4.

Skip it if: you'd have to drive into the city centre just for this. KLCC-area parking and traffic will eat a RM6 saving. If your regular order is a classic RM10.80 latte, Weeks 1 and 3 are the only ones that change much for you.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Avenue K only. The announcement is for the Avenue K opening, and Beep labels the free-drink item "Avenue K Opening". Don't expect Oh Cha Matcha's other outlets to honour it.
  • Beep counts, delivery isn't mentioned. The post says the promos are "also valid for self-pickup orders via Beep", which is a handy way to skip the opening queue. It says nothing about delivery, so choose Pick Up at checkout.
  • The Week 1 free drink isn't your choice of the whole menu. It comes from a shortlist that changes every day, capped at one free drink per person per day.
  • Menu prices are Beep prices. Counter prices at a new kiosk can differ slightly, and oat or other non-dairy milk swaps may cost extra. The post doesn't say whether the Week 4 RM10 price includes add-ons.
  • "T&Cs apply", but the full terms aren't published. Treat per-order limits as unknown and ask the staff before a large group order.

Getting there

Avenue K sits on Jalan Ampang, directly across from Suria KLCC and next to the KLCC LRT station. The kiosk is on the UC Floor, lot SAC-UC-2, beside H&M and Pizza Hut, and the mall directory lists opening hours of 10am to 10pm.
