> Quick view: Until 30 September 2026, a single 25-litre petrol fill at Petron can enter you in two different contests, and they need two different actions. The receipt in the drop box gets you into the 4,800-winner RM40 mart sweep. A registered Petron Miles account gets you into the 18-winner RM1,000 draw automatically. Cheap to join, but the mart sweep rules are stricter than the poster suggests.

Most fuel promotions in Malaysia are a lucky draw bolted onto a loyalty card. Petron's Pasti OK Sweep is slightly more interesting because it runs two prize categories off the same qualifying fill, with completely different entry mechanics, and the campaign material does not make that obvious. Everything below is from Petron Malaysia's own promotion page and the English terms and conditions PDF published on petron.com.my, read on 16 September 2026.

The organiser is Petron Fuel International Sdn. Bhd. The campaign runs from 7 August to 30 September 2026, both dates inclusive, and entries received after that are rejected.

The one thing both prizes need

A minimum of 25 litres of petrol in a single transaction at a participating Petron service station during the campaign period. One transaction, not a day's total, and not two pumps split across two receipts.

At Petron's published pump prices for 10 to 16 September 2026, 25 litres costs:

  • RON95 at the BUDI95 price of RM1.99 a litre: RM49.75
  • RON95 at the market price of RM4.02 a litre: RM100.50
  • Blaze 97 at RM4.50 a litre: RM112.50
  • Blaze 100 at RM6.50 a litre: RM162.50

Pump prices change weekly, so check the board. For most drivers on BUDI95, the qualifying fill is under RM50, which is the part that makes this worth a paragraph at all.

Note the wording: the terms say petrol. Diesel is not mentioned in the entry clause, so diesel drivers should ask at the station before assuming a Diesel Max receipt qualifies.

Route one: the RM40 Mart Sweep

This is the one anybody can enter, and it takes 30 seconds at the counter.

  1. Make the qualifying 25-litre purchase.
  2. Write your full name and contact number clearly on the original receipt.
  3. Drop the original receipt into the campaign drop box at that station.

Each qualifying receipt is one entry. There is no cap on entries, as long as each one is backed by a separate qualifying transaction. Receipts that are illegible, damaged, altered, duplicated, incomplete or already submitted are disqualified, so write neatly and do not photograph and reuse.

The numbers: 4,800 winners across the campaign, made up of two winners per participating station for each of three scheduled sweep rounds. That works out to roughly 800 participating stations, and it means your competition is only the other receipts in that one station's box, not the whole country. A quiet station in a small town is a better bet than a busy highway one.

Winners are picked by the station itself in a random draw and contacted on the phone number written on the receipt. If they cannot reach you or you do not respond in time, they redraw. That single line is why the contact number matters more than most people assume.

What 40 seconds of sweeping actually gets you

The sweep rules are tighter than the artwork suggests:

  • 40 seconds, one shopping basket, one winner at a time, timed and officiated by the dealer or station staff.
  • Tobacco products, e-Pay services and lubricants are excluded. That rules out the highest-value items on the shelf, which is exactly what a sweep prize is designed to do.
  • If your basket exceeds RM40, you either pay the difference or put items back.
  • If your basket comes to less than RM40, the balance is forfeited. No cash, no credit, no rain check.
  • Miss your scheduled slot and the prize is gone. No replacement session, no compensation.
  • At stations without a Petron Mart, winners get a hamper of equivalent value instead of a sweep.

So the practical target is a basket that lands just over RM40 on snacks, drinks and mineral water, with nothing wasted on rounding down.

Route two: the 18 grand prizes, for Petron Miles members only

The RM1,000 prizes are a separate, closed pool. To qualify you need the same 25-litre fill and a fully registered Petron Miles membership. There is no receipt to submit and no form to fill: entry is automatic, one entry per qualifying transaction, no cap.

What you do need is for the transaction to be captured to your account:

  • Use your MyKad at the qualifying transaction and the entry is recorded automatically, or
  • swipe your registered Petron Miles card, or show the QR code in the Petron Mobile App for the cashier to scan at the time of purchase.

Forget to do any of those and the fill still happens, but the entry does not.

The prize split is regional: 15 winners in Peninsular Malaysia each get RM1,000 in shopping vouchers, and 3 winners in East Malaysia each get RM1,000 in Petron Miles points. Points are credited within three months after the campaign ends.

Winning a RM40 sweep does not knock you out of the grand draw. The two run in parallel.

Who can enter, and who cannot

The terms set a bar the campaign artwork never mentions: entry is open to Malaysian citizens and permanent residents residing in Malaysia, aged 18 and above. Both prize categories sit under that same eligibility clause, so an under-18 with a Petron Miles account qualifies for neither.

Also ruled out: permanent and contract employees of Petron and its affiliates, Petron service station dealers, staff of the advertising, marketing and promotional agencies appointed for the campaign, and the parents, spouses and children of any of them.

One warning worth repeating, because Petron writes it into the terms itself. Every winner is contacted by telephone — mart sweep winners on the number written on the receipt, grand prize winners on the number held in the Petron Miles database. Clause 49 advises participants to take reasonable precautions with calls or messages asking for personal information during and after the campaign, and to verify directly with Petron. A real call will not ask you for a banking TAC, an OTP or a card PIN to release a RM40 basket of snacks.

Who should bother, and who should skip it

Worth it if you already fill up at Petron and cross 25 litres anyway. The marginal cost is writing on a receipt and tapping a card. If you are not yet a Petron Miles member, registering before your next fill is the single highest-value action here, because the grand-prize entries are automatic and unlimited from then on.

Skip it if you top up in RM20 splashes, drive a diesel, or fill up mainly at other brands. Stretching a fill to 25 litres purely for a draw entry is not the trade, and a RM40 basket of mart snacks is not worth a detour.
