> Quick view: 99 Speedmart's new catalogue runs until 8 October 2026 in Peninsular Malaysia. If you buy formula milk, it is the part worth reading, because four 1.1kg toddler and child tins are carded at once and you can compare them per 100g. For everyone else it is a solid pantry top-up list (Milo, Nescafe, Maggi, Lipton), but the cards do not show a normal price, so check your own receipt history before calling anything a bargain.

99 Speedmart does not advertise itself as a promotions chain. It sells a narrow range of fast-moving goods out of more than 3,000 neighbourhood shops (its own store locator listed 3,224 branches on 22 September 2026), and every few weeks it puts out a set of price cards. The previous set, the 75-card Merdeka and anniversary catalogue, closed on 17 September. This is the next one.

The new set has 24 cards, all in the same red-and-orange house artwork, all ending on 8 October 2026 and all carrying the same footer: while stocks last, Peninsular Malaysia only, pictures for illustration. It had not yet been added to the promotion carousel on 99speedmart.com.my when we checked on 22 September; that carousel still showed one leftover card, Cadbury Dairy Milk Chunks Neapolitan Jar 382g at RM19.90 until 27 September.

How it works

  1. Walk into any 99 Speedmart branch in Peninsular Malaysia before 8 October 2026. There is no voucher, code, app or membership. The shelf price is the promo price.
  2. Read the unit on the card. "Satu Kotak" is one box, "Satu Pek" is one pack, "Satu Botol" one bottle, "Satu Tin" one tin. None of these cards is a "buy 2" bundle, so buying one unit gets you the carded price.
  3. Where a card lists variants (Maggi Big in Kari or Ayam, Indomie Asli or Spesial, Old Town Classic or Hazelnut, Oreo Original or Chocolate Cream, Nutririte 3-in-1 Asli or 4-in-1 Madu, Cadbury Cookies chocolate or tiramisu), each variant is at the same price.
  4. If your branch is out of a line, the card's own wording is "sementara stok masih ada". There is no rain check.

The formula milk cards, compared per 100g

This is where the catalogue earns its keep. Formula is the most expensive regular item in many family trolleys, and it is rare to see four major 1.1kg tins carded at the same shop in the same week. The comparison table on this page lists all seven milk-powder cards with a per-100g figure worked out from the carded price and pack size.

Among the four Step 3 tins for ages 1 to 3, the spread is RM13.90 a box, from Anmum Essential at RM64.90 to Anmum Essential Gold at RM78.80. A toddler going through two 1.1kg boxes a month would cost RM129.80 on Anmum Essential and RM157.60 on the Gold version, a gap of RM27.80 a month. That is not an argument to switch. Children settle on a formula for reasons that matter more than RM1 per 100g, and any change is worth running past your paediatrician. But if you were already choosing between two brands your child takes happily, the table tells you what the choice costs.

Ascenda looks expensive per 100g because it is a different product: a "catch-up growth" milk in a 600g box, not a standard Step 3. Compare it only with its own normal price.

The pantry lines worth doing the maths on

The remaining cards are everyday groceries. Because there is no normal price printed, the useful number is the cost per serving, which you can hold against whatever you pay now.

  • Milo 3-in-1, RM20.99 per pack. The pack is 26 sticks plus 4 free, so 30 sticks of 33g. That is 70 sen a cup.
  • Nescafe Classic 300g, RM28.95. At a standard 2g teaspoon per cup, about 150 cups, roughly 19 sen a cup.
  • Old Town White Coffee 3-in-1, 15 sticks, RM15.50. About RM1.03 a stick, Classic or Hazelnut.
  • Cadbury 3-in-1 chocolate drink, 13 sticks, RM16.49. About RM1.27 a stick, the dearest drink per cup on the list.
  • Lipton teapot bags, 80 bags, RM8.99 (about 11 sen a bag) and Lipton Ekstra Kaw, 40 bags, RM4.99 (about 12.5 sen a bag). The big bag is the cheaper one per bag.
  • Maggi Big, 5 packs, RM5.45 (RM1.09 a pack, Kari 106g or Ayam 103g) versus Indomie Mi Goreng, 5 packs, RM3.79 (76 sen a pack).
  • Brand's Essence of Chicken, 15 x 68ml, RM75.90. About RM5.06 a bottle. The box pictured on the card also carries a free Quby recycle bag in a random design.
  • Kitchen staples: Tumix chicken stock powder 1kg RM13.99, ABC Saus Manis 320ml RM5.99, Dairy Champ Krimer Sejat 390g RM2.90 a tin.
  • Snacks and drinks: Jacob's Cream Crackers 14 x 36g RM7.99, Oreo multipack 9 x 26.25g RM5.90, Cadbury Cookies 6 x 25g RM5.90, Nutririte cereal 15 x 28g RM6.90, Kickapoo 1.5 litres RM2.49.

A worked basket

A household top-up from this list: one Milo pack (RM20.99), one Nescafe Classic (RM28.95), two Maggi Big packs (RM10.90), two Indomie packs (RM7.58), Jacob's crackers (RM7.99), two tins of Dairy Champ (RM5.80), Tumix 1kg (RM13.99) and ABC Saus Manis (RM5.99). That comes to RM102.19 for 11 items that keep for months. Add one box of Anmum Essential Step 3 and the trolley is RM167.09.

Who it suits, and who should skip it

It suits families already buying one of the carded formula brands, anyone who drinks Milo or Nescafe daily and has cupboard space, and people for whom a 99 Speedmart is the nearest shop anyway. It is weaker for fresh food (there is none on this list), for anyone in Sabah or Sarawak (different cards, different prices), and for bargain hunters who want a printed discount: this catalogue asks you to know your own prices.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Peninsular Malaysia only. Every card says so. East Malaysian branches run their own set on a separate page, and prices there can be higher or lower.
  • No normal price on the card. "Promo" here means the chain has carded the item, not that a specific RM saving is guaranteed. Compare with your last receipt or another shop before stocking up.
  • Stock is branch by branch. Smaller branches may not carry every formula brand or the 1kg Tumix bag.
  • Ends 8 October 2026. The chain removes expired cards from its website quickly, so once the campaign closes the prices cannot be checked online.
