Port Dickson (PD) is still the closest beach escape from KL, about an hour down the coast, and its resort strip has consolidated hard over the past decade. This list covers eight properties that are open and taking direct bookings: two private-pool-villa resorts, two classic water-chalet and big-grounds resorts, and four family, group and value picks.
This page was re-checked on 25 October 2026. Four resorts were re-priced on their own booking engines for a one-night stay for two adults on Wednesday 2 December 2026, and Grand Lexis also for Wednesday 11 November and Saturday 14 November. Where a resort was not re-priced, the date of the last check is given next to the figure. Since our 17 September check: Thistle's MATTA rates have closed, the Grand Lexis Merdeka fish head feast has ended, Grand Lexis rates are up by RM8 a night across the board, and Corus Paradise's renovation deadline has passed with no update on its site.
What a night in Port Dickson actually costs
Weekday rates for two adults, before 8% SST unless stated:

The cheapest bed on the strip is not a chalet: Glory Beach's self-catering apartments undercut everything, and a three-bedroom for five works out to about RM37.57 a head. For a private pool in your own room, Grand Lexis's Deluxe Pool Villa at RM338 with breakfast is still the cheapest, when it is on sale.
Weekday or weekend: the same resort, very different prices
The midweek gap in Port Dickson is bigger than any discount code, and at Grand Lexis the cheapest villa often isn't sold at all. On 25 October its engine showed:
- Wednesday 2 December: Deluxe Pool Villa on sale at RM338 with breakfast.
- Wednesday 11 November: no Deluxe Pool Villa; the cheapest room was the Garden Pool Villa at RM478.
- Saturday 14 November: no Deluxe Pool Villa and no Garden Pool Villa; the cheapest room was the Deluxe Suite at RM608, and the Executive Pool Villa was RM658 (RM588 on the Wednesday).
Worked example for a Malaysian couple, one night at Grand Lexis, all with breakfast:
- Wed 2 Dec, Deluxe Pool Villa: RM338 + RM27.04 SST (8%) + RM4 Fi Lestari = RM369.04
- Wed 11 Nov, Executive Pool Villa: RM588 + RM47.04 SST + RM4 = RM639.04
- Sat 14 Nov, Executive Pool Villa: RM658 + RM52.64 SST + RM4 = RM714.64
The same Executive Pool Villa costs RM75.60 more on the Saturday, and a flexible date that lands on a Deluxe Pool Villa night saves about RM345 against the Saturday. The Best Available Rate is non-refundable and non-amendable once confirmed. The Best Flexible Rate, which allows cancellation and date changes, costs RM100 a night more, and a non-refundable room-only rate (where offered) costs RM100 less.
Lexis Hibiscus: which rate to pick
Lexis Hibiscus shows three rates for the same villa, and on 25 October (for Wednesday 2 December) the breakfast rate was the cheapest:
- Book Early & Save, with breakfast: RM707.94 + RM56.64 SST + RM4 Fi Lestari = RM768.58. Needs booking 30+ days ahead; non-refundable.
- Non-Refundable Room ONLY: RM728 + RM58.24 SST + RM4 = RM790.24, before you buy breakfast.
- Best Available Rate, with breakfast: RM828 + RM66.24 SST + RM4 = RM898.24.
So the room-only rate, which used to look like the deal, now loses to the early-booking rate even before breakfast. If you are booking less than 30 days out, compare room only plus two breakfasts (the group printed a RM75 walk-in adult price in its September terms) against the RM828 breakfast rate: the breakfast rate wins. A third or fourth guest on the room-only rate is RM25+ each.
Grand Lexis "Published Rate". Its Deluxe Pool Villa page has long shown a RM1,098 "Published Rate". That is a rack figure, not what anyone pays. If a third-party site quotes something near it, go back to the resort's own engine.
Corus Paradise: renovation deadline passed, notice still up
Corus Paradise Resort still has its "Renovation Notice" artwork on its homepage as of 25 October 2026. The image was uploaded in December 2024 and says the renovation is expected to be completed by the 3rd quarter of 2026, which ended on 30 September. The site has not posted a completion notice or a new date, and a news search on 25 October found no announcement either way. The booking form is live. Call the front office (019-661 1973 or 06-647 7600) before booking and ask which pools and room blocks are open on your dates.
Fees that are never in the headline rate
- SST, 8% of the room rate. Grand Lexis, Lexis Hibiscus and Thistle show engine prices before tax, so add 8%.
- Fi Lestari, RM4.00 per room per night. A sustainability fee mandated by the Negeri Sembilan state government and the Port Dickson Municipal Council since 1 November 2025, collected at check-in and not included in the room rate. The Lexis resorts and Avillion both state it on their own sites.
- Tourism Tax, RM10.00 per room per night, under the Tourism Tax Act 2017, for foreign tourists and non-resident guests. Malaysian citizens and permanent residents are exempt.
On a two-night stay the flat fees add RM8 for a Malaysian couple and RM28 for a foreign couple, on top of the 8% SST.
Offers that are live now (checked 25 October 2026)
- Lexis Hibiscus and Grand Lexis: Tropical Escape, valid to 15 December 2026. Up to 15% off the Best Available Rate with breakfast when you book at least 30 days ahead (not for the Royal, Imperial or Presidential Suites), or up to 5% off plus a free one-way KLIA transfer for two on a three-night stay (return transfer for four nights or more). Non-refundable, blackout dates apply.
- Lexis Hibiscus: Minimum Stay, up to 10% off the Best Available Rate with breakfast for two or more consecutive nights, suites excluded.
- Grand Lexis: Family Getaway Package, 3D2N in an Executive Pool Villa, Grand Pool Villa or Deluxe Suite, with breakfast for two adults and two children, a 30-minute bicycle ride, a Crazy Cart ride for two children and RM100 nett F&B credit. Book at least three days ahead. No price is printed on the offer page.
- The Regency Tanjung Tuan: Ruby Jubilee 40, 3 August to 31 December 2026. 40% off two consecutive weekday nights (Monday-Thursday) with code RJWDS, or 20% off two consecutive weekend nights with RJWEE, official website only. At the RM810 five-bedroom rate from August, the weekday code would bring it to RM486 a night, about RM48.60 a head for ten.
- Thistle: Midweek Romance Escape, RM499 nett for two with breakfast, a candlelight dinner and 3pm check-out, weekday stays to 3 December 2026, non-refundable.
- Thistle: weekday activity packages to 31 December 2026. Fly & Stay (breakfast, a flying fox ride for two and guaranteed 3pm check-out), Paddle & Escape (breakfast and a lake kayak session for two) and Paddle, Fly & Stay (both activities). Plus Taste of Chinoise, a room with breakfast and a Chinese dinner set for two, bookable on weekdays and weekends to 31 December at least three days ahead. Prices show only on the booking engine.
- Lexis Hibiscus: Halloween at Satellite Restaurant & Bar, themed cocktails and combo deals 19-31 October and a Halloween night party on 31 October.
Ended since September: Thistle's MATTA Fair rates (bookings closed 30 September), its MAH Tourism Fair vouchers (2-4 October) and Adventure Escape package (no longer listed), Grand Lexis's Merdeka fish head feast (20 September), and the Regency's early-bird window (12 September).
Getting to Port Dickson from KL
Port Dickson sits roughly 90-95km south-west of Kuala Lumpur, about an hour in clear traffic, most of it on the North-South Expressway (E2) before you turn off at Seremban for the Seremban-Port Dickson road. Leave KL on a Friday evening or a school-holiday morning and that hour can stretch to two. From KLIA, The Regency puts the drive at about 45 minutes.
The resorts are strung along one coastal road. Lexis Hibiscus and Grand Lexis sit together at the Pasir Panjang end; Glory Beach is at Tanjung Gemok on Jalan Seremban, about 10 minutes from town; Avillion is at 3rd Mile; Thistle and Pacific Regency (Batu 7½, Jalan Pantai) are at Teluk Kemang; The Regency is at 5th Mile, Jalan Pantai. Teluk Kemang has the most food and shops within walking distance.
There is no direct rail link to the beaches. The nearest KTM Komuter station is Seremban, about 35km inland, so a car or a Grab from Seremban is the practical way in.
How to pick
- Cheapest bed: Glory Beach's two-bedroom apartment at RM122.14 on a weekday, with a kitchenette.
- Cheapest private pool: Grand Lexis Deluxe Pool Villa, RM338 with breakfast, on the weekdays it is on sale. Check several Wednesdays.
- Groups of five to ten: Glory Beach's three-bedroom (RM187.86 for five) for the lowest price; The Regency's five-bedroom with the RJWDS code if you want 1,700 sq ft and a white-sand beach.
- A conventional hotel room on the beach: Thistle's book-early garden room (RM365 with breakfast) or Pacific Regency's Deluxe City (RM220 room only at our September check).
- A package you don't have to think about: Thistle's RM499 nett Midweek Romance Escape, or a weekday Fly & Stay.
- The trophy stay: Lexis Hibiscus, with its two Guinness World Records. Book 30+ days ahead and the breakfast rate beats room only.
- Water chalets: Avillion from RM280 on its rooms page.
- Families with young kids: Grand Lexis's Family Getaway Package, or Avillion's three pools, kids' club and pet farm.
Whatever you pick, price a Wednesday before a Saturday. At Grand Lexis the same villa cost RM70 more on a Saturday before tax, and the cheapest categories were not sold at all.
