> Quick view: Marrybrown counters located inside AEON BiG hypermarkets are giving away a free 1-piece Ayam Goreng MB with the purchase of any eligible MB Combo Meal bought with a participating beverage — running 1 August through 31 October 2026, while stocks last.

The offer

  • Free 1-piece Ayam Goreng MB (Marrybrown's signature fried chicken) with any eligible MB Combo Meal
  • The combo must include a drink from the promo's participating beverage brands: Coca-Cola, Sprite, A&W, Fanta, Fuze Tea, Authentic Tea House, Minute Maid, Glaceau Vitaminwater and Dasani
  • Runs 1 August-31 October 2026, at Marrybrown counters located inside AEON BiG hypermarkets — 21 branches, all in Peninsular Malaysia
  • While stocks last — no membership or app sign-up mentioned as a requirement

What counts as an "MB Combo Meal"

"MB Combo Meal" is Marrybrown's standard set format — a main, a side and a drink. The promo publishes no minimum spend, so the cheapest qualifying combo is the cheapest one on the board that day. The figures below come off Marrybrown's own menu, which states that all of its prices are before 6% SST:

  • MB Nasi Bowls — RM9.50. Nasi Kari (chicken strips in curry gravy) and Chick-O-Rice (breaded fillet in mushroom sauce) are the two cheapest combos on the standing menu, and Marrybrown's own product photo for them shows the set arriving with a Fuze Tea — one of the nine participating brands. That makes a Nasi Bowl the cheapest way into this promo, and unlike the weekday deal below it runs all week.
  • Memang Best Deal — RM9.99, Monday to Friday. Marrybrown's weekday value set, running from 23 July 2026 onwards and still tagged ongoing on the brand's promotions page. Its artwork names four sets, all in size (S): 1-pc Ayam Goreng MB Meal, MB Spicy Wrap Combo, Chicken Burger Combo and Fish Fillet Burger Combo. All four are pictured with a Fuze Tea, so the included drink already qualifies.
  • Regular combo sets — RM11.50 to RM25.45. Bubur Ayam MB is the cheapest at RM11.50, then Chicken Burger RM12.99, Bubur Pedas RM13.50, Fish Fillet Burger RM13.95, Nasi Ayam MB RM15.50, Nasi Lemak MB RM15.90, Mi Kari MB RM16.50, Nasi Kandar RM16.90, Hotouch Burger RM17.99, Cheesy Chicken RM19.95, Tower Burger and Fish 'n' Chips RM21.90, Chick-A-Licious RM21.95, Jumbo Meal RM23.95 and Happiness Plate RM25.45. This is where you have the most freedom to pick your drink.
  • Kiddy Meal Set B (1-pc Ayam Goreng MB) — RM12.90, which comes with fries, a Minute Maid Refresh Orange — also a participating brand — and a free toy.

Prices vary a little by outlet and aren't guaranteed at every branch, so treat these as the current going rate rather than a fixed price list.

What the free piece is actually worth

Marrybrown doesn't sell a single piece on its own, but its menu does publish the à la carte ladder: 2 pieces RM14.80, 5 pieces RM31.90, 9 pieces RM54.90, all before SST. Read across that ladder and each additional piece costs RM5.70 to RM5.75 — RM17.10 buys the three pieces between the 2-pc and 5-pc buckets, RM23.00 buys the four between 5-pc and 9-pc. So the honest value of the freebie is about RM5.70-RM6, not the RM7.40 you get by halving the 2-piece price; the 2-pc bucket carries a small-portion premium that the bigger buckets don't.

That still makes this a good deal at the bottom of the menu and a thin one at the top. On a RM9.50 Nasi Bowl you're getting roughly RM15 of food for RM9.50; on the RM9.99 weekday set, about RM15.70 for RM9.99. On a RM25.45 Happiness Plate the same free piece moves the needle by under a quarter.

Which drinks qualify

The combo has to be bought with one of these beverage brands: Coca-Cola, Sprite, A&W, Fanta, Fuze Tea, Authentic Tea House, Minute Maid, Glaceau Vitaminwater or Dasani. That's a Coca-Cola-bottler line-up, which is the usual shape for this kind of tie-in. A combo ordered with a different drink — or with no drink — won't qualify, so say the brand out loud when you order rather than letting the counter default you to something else.

On the cheapest sets the default already qualifies: Marrybrown pictures both RM9.50 Nasi Bowls and all four RM9.99 Memang Best Deal sets with a Fuze Tea, and Kiddy Meal Set B with a Minute Maid Refresh Orange. The risk is on a build-your-own combo, where the counter can just as easily pour you an Iced Milo (RM5.90) or a Hot Teh Tarik (RM5.50) — both on the menu, neither on the participating list.

Where you can actually use this

This is the part most people get wrong. It's not "any Marrybrown" — it's only Marrybrown counters sited inside AEON BiG hypermarkets. AEON BiG's own store locator lists exactly 21 branches, and every one of them is in Peninsular Malaysia:

  • Selangor: Ampang, Bukit Rimau, Jaya One, Klang, Puchong Utama, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Tun Hussein Onn
  • Kuala Lumpur: Danau Kota, Kepong, Mid Valley, Seri Petaling, Wangsa Maju
  • Johor: Batu Pahat, Kluang, Sutera Utama
  • Penang: Bukit Minyak, Prai
  • Negeri Sembilan: Palm Mall · Perak: Falim Ipoh · Putrajaya: Putrajaya

There are no AEON BiG stores in Sabah or Sarawak, so East Malaysia readers are out on this one. And not every AEON BiG branch has a Marrybrown counter inside it — the promo only works where one exists, so ring the store (1-300-80-2366) or check before making a special trip. Hypermarket hours split three ways on the locator: twelve branches run 9am-10pm on weekdays and open an hour earlier, at 8am, on weekends and public holidays; Penang Prai runs 9am-10pm every day; and the six mall-sited stores (Danau Kota, Jaya One, Klang, Mid Valley, Palm Mall, Putrajaya) run 10am-10pm daily, with Sutera Utama to 10.30pm. Seri Petaling is the outlier — 10am-9pm, an hour earlier than everywhere else. The promo applies during the Marrybrown counter's own operating hours, which can be shorter than the hypermarket's.

Who this suits — and who should skip

Worth it if: you already shop at one of the 21 AEON BiG branches above, you're feeding two or more people, or you're ordering at the cheap end — a RM9.50 Nasi Bowl any day, or the RM9.99 Memang Best Deal on a weekday. That's where a ~RM6 freebie moves the needle most.

Skip it if: you're in East Malaysia, you'd be driving out of your way (the fuel costs more than the chicken), you prefer a non-participating drink, or you were going to order à la carte anyway — the free piece only unlocks on a full combo.

Fine print

  • Only applies at Marrybrown counters inside AEON BiG hypermarkets — not standalone Marrybrown stores, other mall outlets, drive-thrus or foodpanda/Grab delivery
  • The combo must include one of the participating beverage brands listed above
  • Every RM figure in this article is Marrybrown's own menu price, which the menu states is before 6% SST — add roughly 6% to work out what you'll actually pay
  • "While stocks last" — re-checked against the campaign artwork on 1 September 2026, which carries only "While stock last" and a "*T&C apply" mark. No daily quota or per-receipt cap is published anywhere, so ask staff how the redemption is capped at that branch
  • This is a hypermarket-partner campaign and isn't listed on Marrybrown's national [promotions page](https://marrybrown.com/promotion/), which carries the chain-wide offers instead. That's normal for in-store tie-ins, but it does mean the counter is your source of truth — confirm before you order
  • Nothing here is a membership or app offer; it's a straight counter redemption

Tips

  • AEON BiG stores are often standalone hypermarkets rather than mall tenants, so "meet at the mall" directions may not apply
  • The offer runs three months, so there's no rush — but stock-based freebies thin out at busy branches on weekends. A weekday visit also lines up with the RM9.99 Memang Best Deal; if you're going at the weekend, the RM9.50 Nasi Bowls are on the standing menu every day and are cheaper still
  • Order the drink by brand name, keep the combo intact, and ask for the free piece at the point of ordering rather than after payment
