The foodpanda Buy 1 Free 1: when it ran, and when it might return
This page began as a foodpanda Buy 1 Free 1 guide, so start there. Marrybrown has run the deal twice on foodpanda this year:
- 21–27 July 2026 — the run this article was first written for.
- 21–24 September 2026 — foodpanda Pro users on 21–22 September, all users on 23–24 September, on five combos: Nasi Lemak MB®, Bubur Ayam MB®, Lucky Plate®, Chicken N Chips and Nasi Kandar.
On the standing menu those combos cost RM15.90 (Nasi Lemak MB®), RM11.50 (Bubur Ayam MB®), RM18.99 (Lucky Plate®) and RM16.90 (Nasi Kandar), so the free second combo was worth RM11.50–RM18.99 at counter prices. Delivery-app prices run higher than the counter, so the real saving was larger still.
There is no October run announced as of 6 October. Both 2026 runs started on the 21st, two months apart, which points at late November, but that is a pattern, not a promise. Watch @marrybrownmy on Instagram: the September run was announced on 20 September, one day ahead.
What is live in October 2026
MB App Exclusive Daily Deals (launched 30 September, no end date published). Five sets, redeemed in the MB App for eat-in or takeaway, against the crossed-out price on Marrybrown's own posters:
- Fish Fillet Burger + Mashed Potato (R) — RM9.90 (was RM13.75)
- Nasi Kandar + Onion Ring — RM14.90 (was RM18.49)
- Tower Burger™ + Frozen Fanta® Grape (R) — RM17.90 (was RM24.45)
- 2-pc Ayam Goreng MB® + 6-pc Chicken Nugget + Coca-Cola® (R) — RM19.90 (was RM29.15)
- Buddy Meal + Vegetable Salad (R) + Chocolate Banana Pie — RM37.90 (was RM43.80)
The fine print: a daily redemption limit, and the sets are not available at airport, Genting Highlands, Johor Premium Outlets or Sunway Lagoon outlets.
ShopeeFood Super Deals — RM12 off a RM36 minimum, 1–31 October 2026. The only Marrybrown offer this month with a printed end date.
GrabFood Hot Deals — RM10 off a RM50 minimum, plus 350 GrabCoins, at participating outlets with GrabFood delivery. Posted 29 September; neither the poster nor the caption gives an end date.
Hari Nasi Lemak — 2 Nasi Lemak MB® Combos for RM22 on the 1st of every month, dine-in, takeaway and drive-thru. At RM15.90 each on the menu, that saves RM9.80 (31%). The next date is Sunday 1 November 2026.
Children's Day — a free MILO® plushie pencil case (four designs: medal, shuttlecock, pencil, exercise book) with a Children's Day Kiddy Meal Set A, B or D. Kiddy Meal sets are RM12.90 on the menu: Set A Chicken Burger, Set B 1-pc Ayam Goreng MB®, Set D small Bubur Ayam MB®, each with fries and a drink. While stocks last; no dates printed.
New outlet — Genting Permai, opening 10 October 2026. Opening treats: an Ayam Goreng MB® Meal for RM12, a free Nestlé Lime & Vanilla stick, and a free limited-edition canvas bag with a RM35 minimum purchase, while stocks last.
The undated standing offers are all still on Marrybrown's promotions page as of 6 October: MB Bowl Baloi from RM6.20, the Memang Best Deal (Monday to Friday), the Add-On at Any Combo Meal ladder, XL Bubur Ayam MB®, MB Cheese Banjir, the Olé Olé Kombo and the MB Float. Kombo Merdeka and the Rakyat Bucket, both ended on 17 September, were finally moved to the Past bucket on 22 September.
Is the MB App deal actually cheap? Worked examples
The RM19.90 set is the standout. Its 2-pc Ayam Goreng MB® alone is RM14.80 à la carte and a 6-pc Chicken Nugget is RM9.90, so the food is worth RM24.70 before the drink. Marrybrown's own was-price is RM29.15, so you save RM9.25, about 32%.
The RM9.90 set is the weakest. Fish Fillet Burger + Mashed Potato (R) saves RM3.85 against the poster, but it has no drink. A Nasi Kari Combo or Chick-O-Rice Combo is RM9.50 on the standing menu with a drink, and needs no app. If you just want the cheapest full meal, the app does not beat the counter.
The Buddy Meal set saves least in percentage terms: RM5.90 on RM43.80, 13%. It is still the cheapest way to get the RM35.50 Buddy Meal plus a salad and a pie, but treat it as a small top-up rather than a bargain.
The delivery thresholds, worked out
ShopeeFood's RM12 off RM36 is 33% if you land exactly on RM36. GrabFood's RM10 off RM50 is 20% at exactly RM50, plus the 350 GrabCoins. So ShopeeFood is the better deal this month, as long as you can reach the threshold without buying food you do not want.
At counter prices (app prices are higher, so you may clear the line sooner):
- Lucky Plate® Combo RM18.99 + Nasi Kandar Combo RM16.90 = RM35.89 — eleven sen short. Add a RM1 Mashed Potato add-on and you are over.
- Tower Burger™ Combo RM21.90 + Nasi Ayam MB® Combo RM15.50 = RM37.40, which the voucher takes to RM25.40.
- For GrabFood, Buddy Meal RM35.50 + Nasi Ayam MB® Combo RM15.50 = RM51.00, which becomes RM41.00.
Delivery fees land on top of the discounted total either way. The foodpanda SYOK10 code reported in September has not been re-confirmed by Marrybrown, so do not count on it.
The add-on ladder, corrected
An earlier version of this article said the two cheapest add-on rungs had no à la carte comparison. That was wrong: Marrybrown's menu sells Mashed Potato (R) and Vegetable Salad (R) at RM3.80 each. Against those prices the ladder looks better than we said:
- RM1 Mashed Potato (R) — saves RM2.80 (74%), the best rung on the ladder
- RM2 Vegetable Salad (R) — saves RM1.80 (47%)
- RM3 Potato Wedges (6-pc) — RM5.50 à la carte, saves RM2.50
- RM4 Chicken Nugget (4-pc) — about RM1.00 a piece against RM1.65 a piece in the RM9.90 6-pc
- RM5 Cheesy Wedges — RM7.95 à la carte, saves RM2.95
The add-on attaches to any combo you were buying anyway and has no end date, which makes the RM1 mash the easiest saving at Marrybrown this month.
Who each deal suits
- Use the MB App if you want fried chicken and nuggets for one. The RM19.90 set is the best ringgit saving Marrybrown is offering, but check your outlet is not one of the excluded ones.
- Use ShopeeFood if you are ordering for two to three people and can land near RM36. It is the only offer with a fixed end date, 31 October.
- Use GrabFood if your order is RM50 or more anyway, or you are collecting GrabCoins.
- Wait for 1 November if nasi lemak is your order: RM22 for two beats every delivery voucher on a two-person nasi lemak order.
- Skip the app and vouchers if you are eating alone and cheaply. The RM6.20 Bowl Baloi and the RM9.50 combos remain the floor.
