Melaka is a walking city. A day between Jonker Street, Christ Church, the riverside and A Famosa adds up to many kilometres on hot pavements, which is why an hour of foot reflexology is part of so many weekend trips here. The prices, though, vary more than in most Malaysian cities, because a big share of the spas worth booking sit inside hotels.
We read the published menus of seven Melaka spas on 1 November 2026, on each operator's own website or price PDF. Below are the prices as listed, with the one detail that changes the real bill: whether the price is nett or has tax and service charge added on top.
How to choose a massage in Melaka
Decide between a shop and a hotel spa first. The cheapest hour in this list, RM70 for reflexology at Scents and Senses, is a standalone Thai-style spa. Hotel spas start at RM85 (H Spa at Hatten) and climb quickly from there. The hotels are not all expensive, but they are less flexible: H Spa asks for a day's notice, Satkara at Casa del Rio is by appointment only and Spa Village takes guests aged 16 and over.
Read the tax line. H Spa's brochure says its prices include tax and carry no service charge. Satkara and Mahkota quote nett prices. Spa Village adds service charge and taxes, so its RM300 treatment costs noticeably more at the counter. Scents and Senses, the Holiday Inn's Tea Tree Spa and Puri Spa do not say either way, so ask when you book.
Check what an "hour" means. Mahkota prices reflexology for 45 minutes and Spa Village sells 50-minute treatments, so compare per minute where it matters.
Expect Melaka hours to shift. Two of the spas we checked publish two different sets of hours in different places. Call or WhatsApp before you walk over, especially in the evening.
We could not find published prices for the smaller walk-in reflexology shops around Melaka Raya and Jonker Street, and Fresha, the booking platform that lists many KL and Kota Kinabalu shops, had no Melaka listings when we checked. Those shops are left out rather than guessed at.
A worked example
Two friends each want an hour of foot reflexology on a Saturday afternoon. At Scents and Senses that is RM140 for both. At H Spa it is RM170, or RM243 for the couple's Fatigue and Stress Recovery package, which adds a 20-minute head and shoulders massage each. At Satkara the same hour of foot massage is RM356 for two at the regular nett price; the Happy Hour version (RM168 nett each, back, shoulder, head and foot) only runs Monday to Thursday, 11am to 3pm.
How to pick
- Lowest price, longest hours: Scents and Senses, open 11am to midnight.
- Tax-inclusive hotel spa on a budget: H Spa at Hatten, from RM85.
- A weekday treat in a heritage building: Satkara's Happy Hour at Casa del Rio, RM168 nett until 31 December.
- One special occasion: Spa Village at The Majestic, where the Peranakan signature experience runs three hours.
