The Renaissance Kuala Lumpur and Four Points KLCC share one corner of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Ampang, one kitchen operator, and now one festive brochure season. Their 2026 line-ups are out, every menu carries a nett price, and the real decision is not which dish but which deadline: pay in full by 30 November and the bill drops by a quarter.
The early bird does the heavy lifting
Both hotels run the same offer: 25% off fully paid reservations made by 30 November 2026, or 10% off bookings confirmed by 15 December. On the big-ticket nights that is not small change: Evolution's RM338 Christmas Eve buffet becomes about RM253.50 per adult, and The Mesh's RM208 becomes RM156. The catch is the word "fully paid": you commit now, not at the door.
Renaissance KL: Evolution and R Bar
- The Holiday Dinner Buffet, 24 December, 6:30pm-10pm: RM338 nett per adult, RM169 per child. The flagship spread: roast turkey and festive carving, seafood on ice and the dessert table the key visual shows off (gingerbread house included).
- Merry Moments Lunch, 25 December, 12:30pm-3:30pm: RM218 nett / RM109. A semi-buffet with a plated main of your choice, herb-crusted Australian lamb among them.
- The Grand Countdown Dinner Buffet, 31 December, 6:30pm-10pm: RM338 nett / RM169.
- Sparkling Afternoon Tea at R Bar, 1 November to 31 December, 12pm-5pm: RM178 nett for two with roasted turkey-cranberry sourdough sandwiches on the savoury tier. The quiet-value pick if you want the festive mood without a buffet commitment.
- Also on the calendar: a Thanksgiving dinner buffet on 26 November and an Ocean Bounty seafood buffet on Boxing Day (26 December).
Four Points KLCC: The Mesh and Sichuan Kitchen
- Jolly Cheer Dinner Buffet, 24 December, 6:30pm-10pm: RM208 nett per adult, RM104 per child. RM130 less than its sister across the corner on the same night.
- Tis The Season Lunch Buffet, 25 December, 12:30pm-3:30pm: RM208 nett / RM104.
- The Countdown Dinner Buffet, 31 December, 6:30pm-11pm: RM268 nett / RM134, running until the fireworks hour, and the menu steps up for it: a sashimi platter, salmon wellington and roasted striploin join the usual stations.
- New Year Hot Pot Celebration at Sichuan Kitchen, 31 December, 6pm-11pm: RM268 nett / RM134, with a choose-two soup base line-up that includes Sichuan mala butter, abalone broth, truffle wild mushroom, tomato, and coconut fish maw chicken, plus steamed Sabah lobster with cream cheese and garlic-vermicelli scallops as New Year specials. A genuinely different way to cross into the new year, and it is halal, as is the rest of the restaurant.
- Boxing Day Lunch Buffet, 26 December, 12:30pm-3:30pm: RM188 nett / RM94: the cheapest festive sitting at either hotel, swapping the roast turkey for turkey gepuk and leaning local with a Nyonya kuih and tong sui dessert corner.
Which corner of the corner?
Same operator, two positions. Evolution is the full-dress festive production with the bigger spread and the bigger bill; The Mesh delivers the same calendar at roughly 60-75% of the price. For a family of four on Christmas Eve, the difference is RM1,014 versus RM624 before early-bird discounts. If the answer is "neither, but I still want the mood", the RM178-for-two afternoon tea is the cheapest ticket into the season.
