> Quick view: Sony Malaysia has opened its October 2026 Redemption today, 5 October. Buy an eligible BRAVIA TV, soundbar, Alpha camera, lens, headphone or speaker between 5 October and 12 November 2026, register it on My Sony Rewards with the receipt by 26 November, and Sony pays Touch 'n Go eWallet credit (or, on the WH-1000XM6, free WF-C510 earbuds). A TV and a soundbar on one receipt still double both rewards, so the ceiling is still RM4,400. The Merdeka round that this page used to cover closed for purchases on 4 October, but anything you bought in it can still be registered until 18 October.

Sony Malaysia runs a new redemption round most months, and this one followed the Merdeka round with no gap: Merdeka purchases ended Sunday 4 October, October purchases started Monday 5 October. We read the new campaign page on sony.com.my on launch day, diffed it row by row against the final Merdeka table, and checked prices on Sony Store Online. Here is what changed, what each model pays, and the two deadlines you now need to keep apart.

First: two rounds, two registration deadlines

The date on your receipt decides which round you are in, and each round has its own registration cut-off.

  • Bought 31 July to 4 October 2026 (Merdeka round): register by 18 October 2026, at the Merdeka rates.
  • Bought 5 October to 12 November 2026 (October round): register by 26 November 2026, at the October rates below.

If you bought a TV last weekend and have not registered it yet, do that first. Thirteen days is not long when the reward is RM1,000 or more.

What changed from the Merdeka round

The TV, soundbar and speaker tables are carried over unchanged. The camera and headphone tables moved, and there is a new lens category.

  • ZV-E10 doubles to RM400, up from RM200 in the Merdeka round, and it now runs for the whole window rather than in short bursts.
  • Alpha 7C II is new at RM400. It was not in the Merdeka round at all.
  • Eight lenses are new at RM100 each: the APS-C SEL35F18 and SEL11F18, the full-frame SEL50F18F, SEL85F18 and SEL35F18F, and the G Master SEL2470GM2, SEL70200GM2 and SEL1635GM2.
  • Alpha 7 IV stays at RM600 for the full window. In the Merdeka round that rate only arrived on 19 August.
  • Alpha 7 III has dropped out. It paid RM200 in the Merdeka round and is not on the October list.
  • INZONE H9 II (WH-G910N) is back at RM50. It lost its reward on 31 August and had no live window for the rest of September.
  • A "WH-1000XM4C" is listed at RM50. The Merdeka page listed a "WF-1000XM4C" (the earbuds) at the same RM50 from 8 September. One of the two pages has a typo, so confirm with the dealer which model is covered before you buy on the strength of it.

What each BRAVIA television pays

The first figure is the TV on its own. The second is what it becomes when an eligible soundbar is on the same receipt.

  • 98-inch BRAVIA 5 (K-98XR50): RM2,000, doubling to RM4,000
  • 100-inch BRAVIA 3 II (K-100XR30M2): RM1,000, doubling to RM2,000
  • 85-inch BRAVIA 5 (K-85XR50): RM1,000, doubling to RM2,000
  • 85-inch and 75-inch BRAVIA 9 II (K-85XR90M2, K-75XR90M2): RM1,000, doubling to RM2,000
  • 98-inch and 75-inch BRAVIA 7 II (K-98XR70M2, K-75XR70M2): RM1,000, doubling to RM2,000
  • 65-inch BRAVIA 8 II (K-65XR80M2): RM1,000, doubling to RM2,000
  • 65-inch BRAVIA 7 II (K-65XR70M2): RM500, doubling to RM1,000
  • 55-inch BRAVIA 8 II (K-55XR80M2): RM500, doubling to RM1,000
  • 65-inch and 55-inch BRAVIA 8 (K-65XR80, K-55XR80): RM500, doubling to RM1,000
  • 75-inch BRAVIA 5 (K-75XR50): RM500, doubling to RM1,000
  • 85-inch and 75-inch BRAVIA 3 II (K-85XR30M2, K-75XR30M2): RM300, doubling to RM600
  • 75-inch BRAVIA 2 II (K-75S20M2): RM200, doubling to RM400

Sony's own table labels the K-75XR30M2 as an 85-inch set. The model code says 75 inches, and the same slip was on the Merdeka page.

The soundbars that trigger the doubling

  • BRAVIA Theatre Quad (HT-A9M2): RM200, doubling to RM400
  • BRAVIA Theatre Trio (HT-A8): RM100, doubling to RM200
  • BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9 (HT-A9000): RM100, doubling to RM200
  • BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8 (HT-A8000): RM100, doubling to RM200
  • BRAVIA System 6 (HT-S60): RM100, doubling to RM200
  • BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 (HT-B600): RM100, doubling to RM200

The Theatre Bar 5, which is the only soundbar Sony Store Online sells, is not on the list.

Worked examples

Rewards double per item, so add the two single rewards and multiply by two.

  • 98-inch BRAVIA 5 plus Theatre Quad on one receipt: (RM2,000 + RM200) x 2 = RM4,400. This is the only way to reach Sony's headline figure.
  • 85-inch BRAVIA 9 II plus Theatre Quad: (RM1,000 + RM200) x 2 = RM2,400.
  • 65-inch BRAVIA 7 II plus Theatre Bar 6: (RM500 + RM100) x 2 = RM1,200. Buy the same two items on separate receipts and you get RM600.
  • A TV from another brand plus a Theatre Quad on one receipt: the October page states that you are entitled to double TNG redemption when the soundbar is bought with another brand's television, so the Quad pays RM400 instead of RM200.

Cameras, lenses and audio

Alpha cameras:

  • Alpha 7 IV (ILCE-7M4 / 7M4K / 7M4M): RM600
  • Alpha 7C II (body or kit, black or silver): RM400
  • ZV-E10 (ZV-E10 / E10K / E10L): RM400
  • Alpha 7 V (ILCE-7M5 / 7M5M): RM200
  • ZV-1F: RM100
  • Each of the eight lenses listed above: RM100

Headphones and earbuds:

  • WH-1000XM6: free WF-C510 earbuds, no TNG credit
  • WH-1000XM5, WF-1000XM6, WF-1000XM5: RM100 each
  • WH-1000XM4C and WH-G910N (INZONE H9 II): RM50 each

Speakers: ULT Field 7, Field 5, Field 3, Tower 7 and Tower 5 pay RM50 each, and the ULT Field 1 pays RM20.

What the credit is worth against today's shelf price

Sony Store Online prices on 5 October 2026, with the October reward taken off:

  • ZV-E10: RM3,099 (listed down from RM3,499), less RM400 = an effective RM2,699, about 13% back on the shelf price. This is the strongest ratio in the campaign.
  • WF-1000XM6: RM1,199 (from RM1,599), less RM100 = effective RM1,099, about 8%.
  • Alpha 7 IV kit with PGYTECH strap bundle: RM9,539, less RM600 = effective RM8,939, about 6%.
  • Alpha 7 V kit (ILCE-7M5M): RM12,599, less RM200 = effective RM12,399, under 2%. Buy it because you want it, not for the credit.

Sony Store Online does not stock any eligible BRAVIA TV or soundbar. On 5 October its TV range was the X90L only, and its only soundbar the Theatre Bar 5. The TV-and-soundbar doubling therefore has to be done at a Sony Store or an authorised dealer. Sony's page lists Sony Centre, Harvey Norman and Senheng among the places to buy.

How to claim, step by step

  1. Buy an eligible model between 5 October and 12 November 2026. For the doubling, put the TV and the soundbar on one receipt.
  2. Log in to My Sony Rewards (free to join) and register the product with its serial number.
  3. Upload the receipt during registration. Sony's page says this outright, and in the Merdeka terms a missing receipt cost you the double reward.
  4. Make sure you have consented to Sony's marketing emails. The TNG reload PIN is sent by email, and Sony's own tips say you will not receive it otherwise.
  5. If you are claiming the WF-C510, check that your mailing address and mobile number are up to date, because the gift is posted.
  6. Register by 26 November 2026.

The fine print to know before you pay

  • The October terms PDF is not live yet. The page links to Sony-October-2026-Redemption.pdf, but on 5 October that address returned Sony's homepage instead of a PDF. The Merdeka terms are still online, and they set the pattern: payout within 90 days of registration rather than at the till; doubling only once per category per receipt, applied to the highest-value TV and soundbar if you buy several; and exclusion of MTT Solutions (Maxis) and the WorldTech outlets at KLIA and KLIA2. Expect the same until the October PDF appears, and screenshot the campaign table on the day you buy.
  • Mid-campaign changes are normal. Sony rebuilt the Merdeka reward table several times inside one campaign: it doubled two headphone rewards, dropped three models and reopened the ZV-E10. A rate you see today is not guaranteed on 12 November.
  • Extended warranty is not on BRAVIA. Registering most Sony products adds three months of warranty, but Sony's promotions hub says the extension does not apply to BRAVIA TVs or PlayStation.

Who should act now, and who can wait

Act now: anyone holding a Sony receipt from the Merdeka round that has not been registered. The deadline is 18 October, and the October round will not pick it up.

Worth planning around: a big-TV buyer who also wants a soundbar. On anything from 65 inches up, the one-receipt rule is worth RM300 to RM2,200 more than buying the two separately. It is also a good month for a ZV-E10 or an Alpha 7C II, which pay twice what they did in September, and for lens buyers, who were not covered at all before.

Skip the hurry: Alpha 7 V buyers. RM200 on a RM12,599 kit is a rounding error, and Sony has raised camera rewards mid-round before.
