> Quick view: Sunway Lost World Hotel's Stay & Play package ended on 30 September 2026, and nothing has replaced it. We searched the hotel's own booking engine on 2 October 2026 for 18 check-in dates between 4 October and 8 December, and not one returned a "with Theme Park" rate. The ordinary room still includes breakfast and the Hot Springs & Night Park, and its Sunday-to-Thursday price is unchanged at RM387. Adding two theme park tickets bought online with Sunway's own MyKad code takes a couple to RM627, which is RM116 more than the package was. Two new traps sit inside October. The hotel is closed on the night of Friday 16 October, and every Screamfest 5 night costs about RM20 more than an ordinary night.

Theme park hotel packages usually hide the ticket price inside a marked-up room. Sunway Lost World Hotel's Stay & Play was the exception, because the hotel sold both versions of every room side by side on its own booking engine. That let anyone price the ticket component to the ringgit, and it came out at RM62 a head against a RM125 MyKad gate price.

That package is gone. This page now answers the October question: what does a night at Sunway Lost World Hotel with a theme park day cost when you have to put it together yourself? Every room rate below was read off the hotel's own SynXis booking engine on 2 October 2026. Every ticket price comes from Sunway Lost World of Tambun's own rate card and web store, checked the same day.

Stay & Play is over, and nothing replaced it

The campaign artwork said 1 July to 30 September 2026, and the booking engine enforced it. On 7 September a 30 September check-in still showed all four theme park packages and a 7 October check-in showed none.

On 2 October we searched these one-night check-ins one at a time: Sunday 4, Monday 5, Wednesday 7, Friday 9, Saturday 10, Thursday 15, Friday 16, Saturday 17, Sunday 18, Wednesday 21, Friday 23, Saturday 24, Sunday 25, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, Sunday 1 November, Sunday 8 November (Deepavali) and Tuesday 8 December, which falls in the year-end school holiday. Every one that returned rooms returned ordinary rates only. No "with Theme Park" line, no Screamfest bundle and no year-end package was staged anywhere in that range.

Nothing on the hotel page announces a successor either. The newest material Sunway Lost World of Tambun has published is the Screamfest 5 ticket page, which sells event tickets only and has no room bundle.

What a room costs in October

Each room still includes buffet breakfast and entry to the Sunway Lost World Hot Springs & Night Park for every guest. The engine quotes every rate as including taxes and fees. There are now four tiers in October, not two.

Ordinary Sunday to Thursday (read on 7, 15 and 21 October): Exotic Room for 2 at RM387, Exotic Triple RM467, Classical Triple RM488, Deluxe RM495, Premier Suite RM597, Family Suite for 4 at RM824, Super Suite RM873, Haku and Natia suites RM1,181. These are the same figures the September board showed for the same rooms.

Ordinary Friday and Saturday (read on 9 and 10 October): Exotic RM408, Exotic Triple RM488, Classical Triple RM494, Deluxe RM516, Premier RM619, Family Suite RM851, Super Suite RM894, Natia RM1,232. Friday and Saturday are still priced identically.

Screamfest Sundays (read on 18 and 25 October): Exotic RM407 (already sold out on 18 October), Exotic Triple RM497, Classical Triple RM518, Premier RM617, Family Suite RM864, Super Suite RM893, Haku and Natia RM1,231. That is RM20 more than an ordinary Sunday for the Exotic Room and RM40 more for the Family Suite.

Screamfest Friday and Saturday (read on 23 and 30 October): Exotic RM428, Exotic Triple RM518, Classical Triple RM524, Deluxe RM536, Premier RM639, Family Suite RM891, Super Suite RM914, Haku and Natia RM1,282.

The Screamfest Saturdays are already thin. On 2 October, Saturday 17 October had only three room types left (RM524, RM891 and RM1,282). Saturday 24 October had RM524, RM914 and RM1,282, and Saturday 31 October had RM639 upward. If you want a Screamfest weekend, a Friday 23 or Friday 30 check-in still had the full board.

Sunday 4 and Monday 5 October had already sold the Exotic Room, so the cheapest room those nights was an Exotic Triple at RM467. Deepavali (Sunday 8 November) and the school-holiday Tuesday 8 December sit a tier higher again, at RM479 for the Exotic Room, RM559 for the Exotic Triple and RM580 for the Classical Triple. On 8 December the Family Suite is RM916.

The hotel is closed on Friday 16 October

Search a stay that covers the night of Friday 16 October 2026 and the engine returns "We Are Closed On October 16, 2026" instead of a room list. A two-night Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 stay is refused the same way. A one-night Thursday 15 stay that checks out on the morning of the 16th books normally at the ordinary weekday rates. Saturday 17 October arrivals are open again.

16 October is the first of Screamfest 5's nine nights, so a closure tied to the event is the likely explanation, but Sunway has not published a reason. The same thing happened on Saturday 26 September, which the engine also refused with no public explanation.

Building the package yourself

Stay & Play used to add the daytime theme park ticket for RM62 a head. Now you buy it separately, and there are two ways to do that.

At the gate with a MyKad, Sunway's own Tickets & Rentals page (unchanged on 2 October) charges RM125 an adult and RM108 a child or senior. The published walk-in rate without a MyKad is RM160 and RM140. Children under 90cm enter free.

Online with code WS2602MYKAD, Sunway's own web store prints the code on its theme park ticket page, and it was still there on 2 October. Cart-tested on 24 September, it brought an adult theme park ticket to RM120 and a child or senior to RM103. Each e-voucher is valid for 30 days from purchase, is non-refundable and cannot be revalidated.

Here is what that does to the arithmetic on an ordinary Sunday-to-Thursday night:

  • A couple: Exotic Room RM387 plus two RM120 online tickets is RM627. The September package was RM511, so the same night now costs RM116 more. At the MyKad gate rate it is RM637.
  • Two adults and two children: Family Suite RM824 plus two RM120 and two RM103 tickets is RM1,270, against RM1,110 for the September package. That is RM160 more. At the gate it is RM1,290.
  • Friday or Saturday: a couple pays RM408 plus RM240, which is RM648, against RM571 under Stay & Play.

The room still includes the Hot Springs & Night Park, which Sunway sells on its own for RM105 a MyKad adult. A couple who were going to do both parks anyway still come out ahead of a day trip. Two MyKad adults buying both tickets at the gate would pay RM460 and then drive home, so RM627 buys a room and two breakfasts for RM167.

One thing we could not confirm. Sunway's own store blacks out night park tickets on the nine Screamfest nights (16 to 18, 23 to 25 and 30 to 31 October, and 1 November). Neither the hotel page nor the booking engine says how the night park entry included with your room works on those nights. Ask the hotel before booking a Screamfest night for the hot springs.

How the September package worked

For the record: Stay & Play listed each room twice on the booking engine, once as the ordinary rate and once "with Theme Park". On Sunday-to-Thursday nights the gap priced the daytime ticket at RM124 for two in the Exotic Room (RM511 against RM387), RM212 for three in the Exotic Triple, RM217 in the Classical Triple and RM286 for four in the Family Suite. On Fridays and Saturdays the Exotic Room ran RM571 against RM408, or RM81.50 a ticket.

The engine withheld the package on any stay with a closed Tuesday inside it. Adding a night therefore never rescued a Monday check-in. The theme park still closes on Tuesdays except on Malaysian school and public holidays, so that rule is worth knowing for any future bundle.

Fine print worth knowing before you drive to Ipoh

The park closes on Tuesdays. Monday to Friday the theme park runs 11am to 11pm, closed Tuesdays except on Malaysian school and public holidays. Weekends, school holidays and public holidays it runs 10am to 11pm. The ticket page gives the daytime entrance window as 11am to 6pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm on weekends, so a late arrival can cost you the day even with a valid ticket. The Hot Springs & Night Park runs 6pm to 11pm daily and is ticketed separately at RM105 a MyKad adult and RM130 walk-in.

Rides that cost extra. The entrance ticket covers all parks, rides, activities and attractions but excludes pay-per-ride items: Haunted Chambers RM10, Kayak RM15, Zip Line RM20, Swan Paddle Boat RM5, Boga Cruise RM6, Gua Datok RM85, 13 High Rope Course RM100 per person with a minimum of 10 people, 6th Mile Tunnel RM110 and Via Ferrata with Abseil RM130.

Rentals add up. A double tube is RM32 (a RM22 rental plus a RM10 refundable deposit). A stroller, wheelchair or children's push car is RM43 on the same structure. Lockers are RM28, RM38 or RM55 for small, medium and large.

Two mandatory charges. All room rates include the RM3 Perak State Local Service Fee. Non-Malaysian guests also pay the RM10 per room per night Tourism Tax at check-in, which is not in the quoted rate.

Who should still book, and who should wait

Book it if you are a Malaysian couple or family who wanted both parks and can travel Sunday to Thursday outside Screamfest. RM627 for a couple still beats a day trip plus a drive home after an 11pm hot springs session.

Book a Friday, not a Saturday, for a Screamfest weekend. On 2 October, Friday 23 and Friday 30 October still had every room type, while the Saturdays were down to their dearest rooms.

Skip it if you only want the hot springs. Every stay includes night park entry, so the RM387 room is your whole cost and the theme park ticket is optional.

Wait if the September price was the point. The engine has no bundle staged through 8 December, but Stay & Play itself only appeared as a 1 July campaign. Check the hotel page before the year-end school holiday rather than assuming a repeat.

Rooms are sold through Sunway Lost World Hotel's own reservation system, linked from the hotel page on sunwaylostworldoftambun.com. Theme park tickets are bought separately on Sunway Lost World of Tambun's web store, with code WS2602MYKAD entered in the cart. Buy them no more than 30 days before your visit.
