When we checked on 5 November 2026 it was still absent from the promotions page and no November payday campaign had been announced. The new offer is the Unagi and Ebi Special, 13 dishes from RM4.50, until 31 December. For cheap sushi, use the members' 20% Happy Hour. For a cheap full meal, use an RM14.90 value meal.
What the payday deal was, and what replaced it
From 24 to 30 September 2026, Sushi King let diners pick any five normal red plates for RM17.99 instead of RM25. It was dine-in only at West Malaysia outlets, excluding Langkawi and Kiosks. Its page now returns a 404.
The RM17.99 mechanic did not repeat. October's payday slot, also 24 to 30 of the month, went to a different campaign: Bonanza at RM3.50 a plate. Sushi King's 1 November Instagram post then introduced the unagi and prawn menu by saying you needn't wait for payday to eat it.
Will a payday deal run in November? Nothing has been announced. Two months running, the campaign started on the 24th, so check the promotions page around 24 November. Don't count on RM17.99 specifically, and treat any such post as unconfirmed until it appears on sushi-king.com.
The Unagi and Ebi Special: full prices
The offer runs from 2 November to 31 December 2026. Sushi King publishes separate West Malaysia, East Malaysia and Langkawi menus. Prices below are West Malaysia, with the printed price including service charge and tax in brackets.

The menu also carries Snow Wagashi, a dessert, at RM5.50 (RM6.38). East Malaysia adds Chocolate and Tangerine Daifuku at the same price.
East Malaysia and Langkawi
The dishes priced at RM13.90 and above cost RM1 more in both, for example Unagi Tamago Don at RM22.90 and the Mini Unagi Don set at RM26.90. The dishes at RM7.50 and under keep the West Malaysia price. Langkawi's printed totals add the service charge but no SST, so its RM22.90 don comes to RM25.19, against RM26.56 in East Malaysia.
Which one to order
For a single rice bowl, the Unagi Tamago Don is the cheapest way to get unagi as a meal. The Mini Unagi Don set costs RM4 more and adds a tempura prawn udon, so it is the better pick if you're hungry. For a taste, two pieces of Unagi Egg Mayo Gunkan cost far less than a bowl, if the plate at your outlet matches the menu photo.
The page lists no terms for this offer. It doesn't say whether dishes are dine-in only, whether Kiosks serve them, or whether Happy Hour applies. Unlike the offers below, it prints no weekend or school-holiday exclusion. Sushi King calls them new menu items, so ask before you order if you plan to use a discount.
What else works in November 2026
- Members' App-clusive Happy Hour: 20% off all items. Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm, for registered app members, dine-in only, not at Kiosks. Both ordering and payment have to be completed between 3pm and 6pm. No Smile Points are earned or redeemed, and it can't be combined with other offers except Sushi King Cash Vouchers. - All-Day Value Meals, RM14.90 (East Malaysia RM15.90). The three original sets come with a free Shizuoka Cha: Chicken Katsu Don; Tenpura Udon (S) with California Temaki; and California Temaki, Chawanmushi and Takoyaki. Three more sets are Piri Piri Chicken Don, Ebi Ten Don, and Spicy Chicken Katsu Don (S) with Chawanmushi. Value meal terms.

- Smile Stamps. You get one stamp for every RM60 on a single receipt, before charges. 2 stamps get you a free Chicken Katsu Don, 4 a Grand Mixed Bento and 6 a Jo Unagi Don. At 21 named outlets, including Subang Parade, Lotus's Kepong, Banting, Chukai and Pines Square Kuching, the third reward becomes a Wagyu Yakiniku Don. The dates that switch off the weekday deals
Happy Hour, the value meals and More to Satisfy all exclude weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
- Monday 9 November: the Deepavali replacement public holiday in most states, since Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November.
- 9 or 10 November: the Education Ministry's Deepavali school-holiday day, which differs by state. Call your outlet before planning a value meal on either date.
- 4 or 5 December: the year-end school holiday begins, on 4 December in Group A states and 5 December in Group B. It runs to 31 December, the same day the value meal terms end.
Unless Sushi King changes the terms, the last usable weekdays this year are 3 December in Group A states and 4 December in Group B. State public holidays also count, so check your own state's list.
What you'll actually pay
Sushi King's terms add a 10% service charge and 6% SST "where applicable". Its new menu prints the totals, and they work out to 1.16 times the menu price, not the 1.166 you get by taxing the service charge too. For example, RM21.90 becomes RM25.40.
- Five red plates at Happy Hour: RM25 less 20% is RM20, about RM23.20 with charges. Under the payday deal the same five plates were about RM20.87, and at full price they are RM29.
- Two people at Happy Hour, ten red plates: RM50 less 20% is RM40, about RM46.40, against RM58 at full price.
- One value meal: RM14.90. The banner says the price "includes all applicable charges", but the terms underneath still carry the service charge and tax line. Expect RM14.90 nett. If your outlet adds charges, budget RM17.28 (RM18.44 in East Malaysia).
- Happy Hour or a value meal? The value meals don't apply during Happy Hour, so between 3pm and 6pm it's one or the other. If the set is RM14.90 nett, it's cheaper whenever your à la carte order is under about RM16 before the discount. If your outlet adds charges to the set, that line moves to about RM18.63.
- Unagi Tamago Don at Happy Hour, if your outlet allows it: RM21.90 less 20% is RM17.52, about RM20.32 with charges, against RM25.40.
Who it's good for, and who should skip it
The Unagi and Ebi Special suits anyone who wants an unagi rice bowl for about RM25 with charges, and it is the one new offer here with no printed weekday limit. Happy Hour suits office workers and students who can sit down mid-afternoon on a weekday and don't mind installing the app. The value meals suit a quick weekday lunch or dinner, with no membership needed. Weekend families get none of the weekday discounts, so Smile Stamps and the unagi menu are what's left: a weekend bill of RM60 or more before charges earns a stamp.
If your nearest outlet is a Sushi King Kiosk, the small counter-service format, skip Happy Hour, the value meals and Smile Stamps, because Kiosks are excluded from all three. Check the store locator first.
Fine print and one warning
- Payment timing matters for Happy Hour. If you order at 5.50pm and pay at 6.05pm, you lose the 20%.
- Kids Sushi Making Class: ages 4 to 12, RM31.80 for members and RM37.10 for non-members, including service tax. The class page lists 10am sessions on 7 November at Alamanda, Nilai Avenue, Central Plaza i-City, Mahkota Parade, Selayang Mall and AEON Dato Onn, and on 8 November at AEON Bukit Indah, Evo Bangi, Batu Pahat and Kangar. The next quarterly open class is on 13 December at six northern outlets.
- Check which account you are reading. Sushi King's website links to @sushikingmalaysia on Instagram. A separate account called @sushikingmy, which the website does not link to, posted a "50% OFF on all menu items" claim in April 2026. Trust offers that also appear on sushi-king.com.
