Premium Outlets Malaysia is 15 this year, and both of its centres are marking it in the same week. The one in Genting Highlands runs 10am to 10pm across all four days. The one in Kulai does something the Pahang centre does not: on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September, Johor Premium Outlets stays open until midnight.
That is the single most Johor-specific thing about this sale, and it matters more than it sounds. Two extra hours on the two busiest nights of the run is the difference between a queue and a browse, and it is aimed squarely at the crowd that drives up from Johor Bahru or crosses the Causeway after work.
> Quick view: the 15th Anniversary Sale runs 10 to 13 September 2026 at Johor Premium Outlets, Indahpura, Kulai, with storewide savings up to 80%. Hours are 10am to 10pm on 10 and 13 September and 10am to 12 midnight on 11 and 12 September. JPO's own event page lists 83 separate offers: 48 dated to the four sale days, 24 running 1 to 30 September, and several that have quietly been live for weeks. A separate contest, Shop More, Win Bigger, runs 10 to 20 September and is scored jointly with Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.
The offers that are genuinely only on for four days
Start with the ones that justify the drive. These are the entries JPO dates strictly to 10 to 13 September, and they are where the deep percentages sit.
The 80% tier is small and specific: Sasa Outlet, Marimekko, Optical 88, HLA Outlet Store and Outlet by Club 21 are all listed at up to 80% off for the four days only. Just below that, Jimmy Choo is at up to 75% and both Sacoor Outlet I and II at up to 75%. Then Guess and Rip Curl at up to 70%, Kate Spade New York at up to 69%, and Tory Burch and Longchamp at up to 60%.
The luxury names do it differently. Ferragamo gives an extra 30% on two selected items and an extra 15% on one. Versace gives an extra 30% on three items plus an extra 20% on selected items. Valentino is a flat 30% on selected items, and Bally an extra 20% once you take three.
There are also some fixed prices, which are easier to plan around than a percentage. Carlo Rino puts selected items at RM159, Beauty Scents at RM99, Triumph from RM50 with an extra 15% once you buy five, and ELLE puts selected items at RM49 on top of up to 70% off. Free-item mechanics turn up at La Senza (buy one selected item, get three), Puma (buy two, get two) and myEureka (buy three, get one).
Ecco changes its offer depending on the day you walk in
This is the detail most people will miss, because Ecco appears three separate times in JPO's list rather than once.
On 10 September and again on 13 September, Ecco is up to 50% off with an extra 15% on three selected items or an extra 10% on two. On 11 and 12 September only, the same store is up to 50% off with an additional 50% on the purchase of two selected items.
Two pairs at a marked-down RM399 each come to RM798. On the Thursday or the Sunday, the extra 10% takes that to RM718.20, a saving of RM79.80. On the Friday or the Saturday, the offer on the same two pairs is written as an extra 50%. That is a different order of magnitude, and it lands on exactly the two nights the mall stays open to midnight. Worth confirming the exact mechanic at the counter, because JPO's list uses "with purchase of 2 selected items" and "on second selected item" as separate phrasings elsewhere, but the day split itself is unambiguous.
Several headline numbers are not anniversary offers at all
We ran every brand in the anniversary list against JPO's own live deals listing, which prints each offer's real start and end date. The comparison table above has the full result. The short version is that a meaningful slice of the sale is made of offers you could already have taken last month.
G2000 Outlet appears in the anniversary list at up to 80% off. Its deals card carries the identical wording with a run of 16 June to 31 December 2026. Vans is listed at 50% off with two items for 1 to 30 September; its deals card carries the identical wording from 2 May to 31 December. MANGO Outlet's RM69 off RM350 and Furla's RM69 rebate on RM1,600 both started on 21 August and both run to 16 September, three days past the sale. Armani Exchange's stacked 30% and 20% started on 14 August and runs to 20 September.
None of that is dishonest on JPO's part. The anniversary page prints the sale window beside each brand, not the offer's own window. But the practical consequence is real: if the brand you care about is one of those, you do not need to be there on the four busy days at all.
Two more that are not discounts in any sense. Baskin-Robbins, DÔME Café, Godiva, Starbucks Coffee and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf all appear under "Special Sale" headings, but their entries announce new products rather than savings: an Upin & Ipin collection, a Masala Biryani, two new soft serves, a Pop Mart Molly collection and a hojicha latte. Read the line, not the heading.
The Akemi offer that was better has already gone
Akemi is the exception that ran the other way, and if you were planning to wait for the sale, you have missed the better version of it.
Until 6 September, Akemi Outlet at JPO ran up to 80% storewide, an extra 30% with two selected items, and then a stack of fixed prices: selected items at RM15, two selected items at RM29, RM49, RM59 or RM70, three at RM90 and four at RM110. That card has since been pulled. Re-checked on 8 September, the only Akemi entry left on JPO's live deals listing is the anniversary one, dated 10 to 13 September: up to 80% storewide, an extra 30% once you buy three items, and an extra 15% on two.
So all seven fixed prices are gone, and the 30% threshold has moved from two items to three. For a small basket of towels or pillowcases, the version that expired on 6 September was the better one by a distance. What survives year-round is Akemi's standing VIP Shopper deal, an extra 10% with two selected items in a single receipt.
Three brands are already selling at anniversary prices
Not every offer on the anniversary page waits for 10 September. Three of them opened on 1 September and close on the 13th with everybody else, which means you can shop them today, on identical terms, without the four-day crowd.
Aigner is up to 60% off, with an extra 20% plus a further 10% once you take two selected items, or an extra 10% plus a further 10% on one. Hackett London is up to 60% off, with an extra 20% on three selected items and an extra 15% on two. Sunglass Hut Outlet is up to 50% off selected items. All three are dated 1 to 13 September on JPO's own anniversary listing, and not one of them improves when the sale opens.
One more runs out first. Hooga sits on a deal card dated 8 August to 9 September — 30% off your first selected item and an extra 50% off the second — after which the anniversary page lists Hooga at a flat 40% storewide to 20 September. Unlike Akemi, that swap is close to neutral: on exactly two items the expiring card also works out at 40% off the pair, and on a single item the September version is the better of the two. There is no reason to rush for it.
The free VIP Shopper Club is the number this page leaves out
The anniversary list is not the only set of offers running at Johor Premium Outlets, and the other set never expires.
Reading all 150 JPO store pages on 8 September, 48 of them carry a standing VIP Shopper deal dated 1 January to 31 December 2026. Most are an extra 10%. Aigner, Akemi (with two items), Citizen, Focus Point, Godiva, Hackett London, Samsonite, Triumph and Absolute Thai all sit at an extra 10% on selected items, while others attach a spend threshold: ELLE at RM200, Victoria's Secret at RM299, Carlo Rino at RM500, AAPE and Under Armour at RM600, Outlet by Club 21 at RM900, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger at RM1,000, Furla at RM1,800, and Polo Ralph Lauren at RM2,500.
A handful beat 10%. Asics Factory Outlet gives an extra 15% with three selected items in a single receipt, Braun Buffel an extra 15% on two large leather goods, and Tomei a flat 30% on selected jewellery collections. Bally and Crocs both give 10% on the entire purchase rather than on selected items, which in an outlet is a materially different thing. Several are instant rebates instead: Kate Spade New York, Sacoor Outlet I and Sacoor Outlet II at RM100 on RM1,000, Bonia at RM100 on RM1,500, Optical 88 at RM50 on RM500, and Beauty Scents at RM50 on two selected items worth more than RM300. Marrybrown sets the lowest bar in the centre at 10% off a RM40 receipt.
Membership is free. Sign-up is on JPO's own site at premiumoutlets.com.my/vip-club, it runs to four steps, and the account it creates is the same login the Premium Outlets Malaysia mobile app uses — the app you need anyway to register a receipt for Shop More, Win Bigger. If you are driving to Kulai for the sale, do this before you leave.
One caution: JPO publishes the VIP deals and the anniversary deals as two separate listings and does not state anywhere whether the two stack. Ask at the counter before you build a basket around it.
Asics is the case that gives the game away. Its anniversary offer is an extra 15% with three selected items and an extra 10% with two. Its year-round VIP deal is an extra 15% with three selected items in a single receipt — the same headline tier, available on any day of the year. The only genuinely new part of Asics' special sale is the 10% tier on two items.
The buy-one-get-one tier runs all month, and is not on the four-day list
Four of the steepest mechanics at the centre are not anniversary offers at all. Citizen and Rhapsody each run "purchase 1 item and get 1 complimentary item" from 1 to 30 September, and Fidani Chocolatier and Fidani Galleria each run "purchase 1 selected item and get 1 complimentary selected item" across the same window. A buy-one-get-one on watches is the single steepest line on JPO's September page, and the anniversary framing buries it.
The four sale days have their own versions: La Senza at buy one selected item, get three; Puma at buy two, get two; myEureka at buy three, get one; and Focus Point Concept Store, which stacks up to 60% off, 50% off a second selected item, and a buy-one-get-one on selected items, 10 to 13 September.
Shop More, Win Bigger runs a week longer than the sale
The contest attached to the anniversary is worth understanding before you build a shopping trip around it, because it is not really a Johor contest.
It runs 10 to 20 September 2026, seven days past the end of the sale, and it is scored jointly across Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and Johor Premium Outlets. Spending at either centre accumulates into one ranking, and the top 18 spenders across both centres take the prizes: RM30,000 in Premium Outlets gift vouchers for the highest, a trip to Seoul for two for the second, a trip to Shanghai for two for the third, and a Sony PlayStation 5 each for the next 15.
There is no minimum spend and no cap on receipts, which sounds generous until you notice what entry involves. You must present the original receipt at the Information Center on the same day as the purchase, and register it through the VIP Deals section of the Premium Outlets Malaysia mobile app. Reprinted receipts are refused, each receipt can only be used once, and a receipt already stamped "redeemed" for another programme is dead for this one. Winners are announced on 1 October 2026 and have seven days to respond before an alternative winner is picked.
Our honest read: treat this as a bonus if you were already spending heavily, not as a reason to spend. You are ranking against every big spender at a luxury outlet centre in Genting Highlands as well as this one.
The Maybank voucher that most Malaysians cannot use
JPO also runs a Maybank redemption programme from 20 April to 31 December 2026: spend RM1,000 across two receipts and redeem a RM50 Premium Outlets gift voucher at the Information Center. That is a clean 5%.
The qualifier is the whole story. JPO's own listing states it is valid for selected Maybank cards issued in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei. A Malaysian-issued Maybank card is not on that list. If you are driving up from Singapore for the midnight nights, this is genuinely worth stacking. If you live in Johor Bahru, it is not for you.
Stacking the theme park rewards
One more thing that only works at these two centres. Under Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards, running 1 July to 30 September 2026, spending at participating JPO stores earns GP in the RW Genting app, and JPO publishes the redemption thresholds: 6GP in a day for one Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket, 3GP in a day for one Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass, and 2GP in a day for two Eufloria Gardens & Sculpture Park tickets. JPO does not print the ringgit-to-GP rate on that page, but Genting Rewards does: its own FAQ puts it at 1GP for every RM100 spent at participating outlets. That makes the three thresholds RM600, RM300 and RM200 of shopping in a single day. Two conditions ride along with it, and both are easy to fall foul of: GP is awarded only on payments made by cash, credit card or GeMCash, and the Genting Rewards card has to be presented at the time of purchase rather than claimed afterwards.
Free food, if you are early
For all four days, the first 75 customers daily at four JPO tenants get something for nothing: a single King scoop at Baskin-Robbins, a chocolate fudge cake at DÔME Café, a chicken burger set at Marrybrown, and an iced double chocolate at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Note that this list is specific to Kulai. Genting Highlands runs a different four (Auntie Anne's, BOOST, Krispy Kreme and a different Coffee Bean drink), so anything you read about the Pahang centre's freebies does not apply here.
There are also cotton candy and popcorn giveaways and two games, a Shake & Score Challenge and a Strike It Fast Challenge, across the four days.
Who should go, and who should not bother
Go if you are shopping the four-day-only names: Sasa, Marimekko, Optical 88, HLA, Outlet by Club 21, Jimmy Choo, Sacoor, Guess, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Longchamp, Ferragamo, Versace or Valentino. Go on Friday 11 or Saturday 12 September if Ecco is on your list, and use the midnight hours: arriving at 8pm on a Friday is a completely different experience from arriving at 2pm.
Do not bother making a special trip if your list is G2000, Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Cotton On, Cotton On Kids, Clarks, Brooks Brothers, Hush Puppies, Obermain, Wacoal, XTEP or Kenzo. Those are all either month-long or standing offers, and the last week of September will be far quieter at exactly the same price. Citizen and Rhapsody are month-long too, but a buy-one-get-one is worth the trip on any date you like.
Check the date twice for Asics, BOOST, Godiva and City Chain. JPO's anniversary page dates all four to 1 to 30 September, but the deal cards the mall published on 6 September date them to 10 to 13 September only — and for City Chain the two pages do not even agree on the price, RM99 on the anniversary listing against "from RM159" on the deal card. Where the centre's own two pages conflict, assume the narrower window and go on the sale days.
Go now rather than on the sale days if you want Aigner, Hackett London or Sunglass Hut, whose offers are already running on identical terms until 13 September. And if you were waiting for Akemi's fixed-price bedding, that version closed on 6 September and is not coming back for the anniversary.
Practical details
Johor Premium Outlets is at Jalan Premium Outlets, Indahpura, 81000 Kulai, Johor, about 45 minutes from Johor Bahru city centre and roughly 15 minutes from Senai Airport. Normal trading hours are 10am to 10pm daily. The Information Center number is +607 661 8888, and it is the desk that handles both the contest registration and the Maybank voucher redemption. There is 24-hour EV charging on site.
All offers, dates and prices on this page were read off Johor Premium Outlets' own event and deals listings on 6 September 2026, then re-checked on 8 September 2026 against the same two listings, all 150 JPO store pages and the Genting Rewards FAQ. All are subject to the operator's terms and conditions. Check the Johor Premium Outlets events page for changes before you travel.
