> Quick view: Lexis Hotel Group is running a private pool villa offer called Tropical Escape at both of its Port Dickson resorts until 15 December 2026. Book at least 30 days ahead for up to 15% off the Best Available Rate, or stay longer for up to 5% off plus a free KLIA airport transfer. The night thresholds for that transfer are different at the two resorts, and a separate Minimum Stay rate plan at both properties pays up to 10% from just two nights. Everything here is non-refundable.

Port Dickson is the closest thing the Klang Valley has to a beach weekend, roughly an hour and a half down the coast from Kuala Lumpur, and Lexis Hotel Group owns two of its best known addresses. Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson is the one you have seen in photographs: overwater villas laid out in the shape of a hibiscus flower, at 12th Mile, Jalan Pantai, Pasir Panjang, 71250 Port Dickson. Grand Lexis Port Dickson is its older sibling on land, Balinese in style, with garden villas built around private pools.

Both are now running the same campaign. It is called Tropical Escape: Your All-Season Private Pool Getaway, and both resorts print the same validity line on their own offer pages: valid until 15 December 2026, blackout dates may apply. Everything below comes from those two pages, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson's and Grand Lexis Port Dickson's, read on 19 September 2026, together with the neighbouring offer pages on the same two sites.

How Tropical Escape works

The campaign is one name over two separate rate plans. You pick one at the point of booking.

The first is Book Early & Save. Book your room at least 30 days before arrival and you get up to 15% off the Best Available Rate, with daily breakfast for two included. At Grand Lexis it applies to all room types. At Lexis Hibiscus it applies to all room types except the Royal Suite, the Imperial Suite and the Presidential Suite, so the three top suites are carved out of the discount there.

The second is Stay More for Less. Stay long enough and you get up to 5% off the Best Available Rate, daily breakfast for two, and a complimentary airport transfer for two people to or from KLIA Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

Here is the part nobody will tell you at the booking page, because the two resorts publish it on two different websites. The qualifying stay lengths are not the same.

At Grand Lexis Port Dickson, two nights earns a free one-way airport transfer for two, and three nights or more earns a free return transfer for two.

At Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson, the bar is one night higher at each step. Three nights earns the one-way transfer, and four nights or more earns the return transfer.

So a family planning three nights in Port Dickson gets a return KLIA transfer at Grand Lexis and only a one-way transfer at Lexis Hibiscus, for the identical length of stay. If the transfer is the reason you are choosing this rate plan, that difference decides which resort you book.

The offer sitting right next to it pays double

This is the single most useful thing on either website, and it is not in the campaign at all.

Both resorts publish a standing offer called Minimum Stay, on its own page, with its own rate plan in the same booking engine. It reads: up to 10% discount on the Best Available Rate with a minimum of two consecutive nights' stay, breakfast for two included. At Grand Lexis it applies to all room types. At Lexis Hibiscus, like Book Early & Save, it excludes the Royal, Imperial and Presidential Suites.

Set the two side by side on a three-night stay at Lexis Hibiscus. Stay More for Less pays up to 5% and throws in a one-way KLIA transfer. Minimum Stay pays up to 10% and throws in nothing. On every RM1,000 of room charge, that is the difference between about RM50 and about RM100. On a three-night pool villa booking that runs into four figures, you are choosing between roughly RM100 of extra discount and one airport transfer for two people.

For anyone driving down from KL, Seremban, Melaka or anywhere else on the peninsula, that is not a close call. You will not use a KLIA transfer at all, and the higher discount is simply more money in your pocket. The transfer only earns its keep if you are actually flying in, in which case a private return transfer between KLIA and Port Dickson for two is worth considerably more than the few percent you gave up.

Book Early & Save is a different story. At up to 15% it beats Minimum Stay outright, and the only thing it costs you is planning ahead by a month. If your dates are firm and they are more than 30 days out, that is the rate plan to look at first.

What the booking engine tells you that the marketing does not

Each of these offers links to its own rate plan in the resorts' TravelClick booking engine, and each link carries a different rate plan ID. Minimum Stay, Book Early & Save, Stay More for Less, the Family Getaway Package and the Best Flexible Rate are five separate plans, not five modifiers you can layer onto one booking.

Practically, that means you should expect to choose one and not stack them. Neither resort publishes a combination table, so if you want to know whether a particular pairing is possible, the reservations line is the only place that can answer it. Lexis Hibiscus publishes +606 660 2626 for the resort and +603 2083 0933 as its main reservations line.

The Negeri Sembilan levy nobody budgets for

Every offer page on both websites carries the same clause, and it is worth reading once so it never surprises you at the front desk. A Fi Lestari, or Sustainable Fee, of RM4.00 nett per room per night, mandated by the Negeri Sembilan state government, is collected at check-in and is not included in the room rate.

It is small, and it is not the resort's margin. It is also per room and per night, so it scales quietly:

  • Two nights, one room: RM8.00 at check-in.
  • Four nights, one room: RM16.00.
  • Four nights, two rooms for an extended family: RM32.00.

Room rates on all of these plans are also quoted subject to government taxes and fees on top, so the number you see in the booking engine is not the number you pay.

Who this is for, and who should skip it

Worth booking if you are planning a Port Dickson stay more than 30 days out and your dates will not move. Book Early & Save at up to 15% is the strongest published discount either resort is showing right now, and breakfast for two is bundled in.

Worth booking if you are flying into KLIA and want the resort to handle the ground leg. The airport transfer on Stay More for Less has real cash value for two travellers, and Grand Lexis hands you the return version a night earlier than Lexis Hibiscus does.

Look at Minimum Stay instead if you are driving and staying two or three nights. Up to 10% with no lead-time condition beats up to 5% with a transfer you will never use.

Skip all of it if your plans might change. Book Early & Save, Stay More for Less and Minimum Stay are all published as non-refundable, with no cancellation and no amendment once the booking is confirmed. If there is any chance of a reschedule, the Best Flexible Rate exists for exactly that reason and it is a separate plan on the same engine.

Skip it if you were only ever going for one night. Every discounted plan here needs at least two consecutive nights, except Book Early & Save, which needs a month of notice instead.

A note on the villas themselves

Both properties sell the private pool as the point of the stay, and that is a fair description rather than a marketing line. The Lexis Hibiscus villas sit over the water on the two hibiscus-petal jetties; the Grand Lexis villas sit in gardens on land. If you are travelling with small children, the land villas are the easier proposition. If the photograph is the reason you are going, it is the overwater ones you have in mind.

Breakfast for two is included on all three discounted plans discussed here. If you are bringing children, look closely at the separate Family Getaway Package at either resort instead, which is a fixed 3D2N package with breakfast for two adults and two children, a RM100.00 nett food and beverage credit, and activity inclusions. At Lexis Hibiscus that package also spells out the cost of an extra body in the villa: any additional guest aged seven and above is charged RM168.00 nett per person per night without the package.

Before 15 December

The campaign closes on 15 December 2026, which falls just before the school holiday peak, and blackout dates apply throughout, so the discount will not be available on every night in that window. Check your dates in the booking engine before you commit, confirm which rate plan you are actually on, and remember that once the confirmation lands, none of these rates can be changed.
