> Quick view: from 29 October to 9 November 2026, anyone with the free MUJI passport app gets 10% off regular-priced items storewide at MUJI stores in Malaysia. There is also a Spend & Win for a RM500 MUJI e-voucher or a MUJI circulator fan. Markdown items and Coffee Counter items are left out, and the discount only applies if you show the app barcode before you pay.

MUJI rarely runs a storewide discount on full-price stock in Malaysia. Most of its sales are markdowns on selected clothing, so a flat 10% on everything regular-priced is the window to buy the things that never go on sale: storage boxes, aroma oils, cushions, stationery and the 2027 planners. MUJI is advertising MUJI Passport Week as a banner on its own website and on in-store posters, and its hiring posts for promoters show Passport app booths at NU Empire and AEON Tebrau City over the same 12 days.

How it works, step by step

  1. Download the MUJI passport Malaysia app (iOS or Android) and register. It is free. MUJI also gives new members 50 miles once the account is activated.
  2. Shop in any MUJI store between 29 October and 9 November. The offer covers items at their regular price across homeware, clothing, stationery, beauty and food.
  3. At the counter, open the app and tap "Member ID" to show the barcode before payment. MUJI's own rules say a screenshot, a printout or reading out your ID number is not accepted, and it will not apply member benefits after you have paid.
  4. Keep your receipt for the Spend & Win. The posters promise a chance at a RM500 MUJI e-voucher or a MUJI Easy Maintenance Oscillating Circulator Fan.

What you actually save: two real baskets

We used regular prices listed on muji.com.my on 27 October 2026. Check the shelf price in store, because MUJI sometimes prices items differently online.

Basket 1: a sofa refresh. Feather Cushion 55x59cm (RM49) + two Oxford Cushion Covers 55x59cm (RM29 each) + Interior Fragrance Oil Fresh Air 200ml (RM99) = RM206. At 10% off you pay RM185.40 and save RM20.60.

Basket 2: a small gift run. Fitting Neck Cushion (RM89) + Beech Scalp Care Brush (RM39) + Polypropylene Pen Case (RM11) = RM139. You pay RM125.10 and save RM13.90.

A 10% discount is modest, so this is worth a trip if you were going to buy these things anyway, not a reason to buy more. If you wait for Basket 1 to go on sale, you may wait a long time, because MUJI's markdowns lean heavily towards clothing.

Who it is good for, and who can skip it

Good for: anyone stocking up on MUJI basics that rarely get discounted (PP storage, aroma diffusers and oils, bedding, skincare refills), people planning year-end gifts, and anyone buying a 2027 planner or calendar, which MUJI is selling now.

Skip it if you only want clothes that are already marked down. A pair of Washed Cotton Easy Pants is showing at RM39 (was RM79) online. That is a markdown price, so it is not a regular-priced item and should not get a further 10%.

Fine print that trips people up

  • Regular-priced items only. Anything with a red sale tag or a reduced price is out.
  • Coffee Counter items are excluded at MUJI Sunway Pyramid, MUJI Mid Valley Megamall and MUJI 1 Utama, the three stores that have one.
  • No barcode, no discount. Show the barcode inside the app before paying. Nothing can be added later.
  • Birthday coupons will not stack. MUJI's in-store birthday coupon is also 10% off regular-priced garments and household items (minimum RM30). MUJI says it cannot be combined with other promotions, so a November birthday gains nothing extra this week.
  • Online is not spelled out. The banner and posters talk about stores. If you check out on muji.com.my, look at the cart total before paying instead of assuming the 10% applies. New online members already get a one-off 10% off the first order, capped at RM50.
  • Spend & Win details are thin. MUJI has published the prizes but not the minimum spend, number of winners or how to submit. Ask at the counter and keep every receipt until the results are out.

Miles still count

You still earn 1 MUJI mile per RM1 on Passport Week purchases. Miles reset on the last day of February, and the coupon tiers are: 1,000-3,000 miles gets RM10 off a RM100 spend, 3,001-6,000 gets RM20 off RM160, 6,001-10,000 gets RM30 off RM200, and 10,000 and above gets RM50 off RM250. If you are a few hundred miles below a tier, a planned Passport Week shop can push you over.
