> Quick view: The SOGO Members' Day Sale runs 25 August to 6 September 2026 at all four SOGO stores. Single receipt of RM150 to RM499.99 earns 5x points; RM500 and above earns 10x; RM1,500 in a day earns double points on accumulated same-day receipts. The Beauty Hall gives a free RM30 coupon on 25, 28-31 August and 4-6 September only, above RM350 in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru or RM300 in Shah Alam and Kuala Terengganu. Ten Exclusive Early Bird Deals sit behind a RM180 single receipt, from RM10. Supermarket purchases and the Easy Payment Plan are both excluded from the bonus points.

Update, 7 September 2026: the Members' Day Sale ended on 6 September 2026, and SOGO has taken its page down - the campaign URL now returns a 404 and no longer appears on SOGO's own sale index. The points tiers, the RM30 beauty coupon and both Early Bird waves are finished. What is still live is a Warehouse Deals run at SOGO Kuala Lumpur to 13 September, two 7th Floor Event Hall sales to 8 September, and four group-wide contests and offers - the full current list is in "What replaced it" below. Everything between here and that section is kept as the record of what the sale actually offered, because SOGO's own page for it no longer exists.

Thirteen days, four stores, and the one number nobody quotes

SOGO calls it thirteen days of shopping excitement, and the campaign artwork puts the dates plainly: 25 August to 6 September 2026. It runs at SOGO Kuala Lumpur, SOGO Central i-City in Shah Alam, SOGO The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru and SOGO Mayang Mall in Kuala Terengganu - the whole four-store estate, with a separate e-copy of the catalogue published for each one.

The timing is not accidental. It opens on the 25th, which is payday for most salaried Malaysians, and its second half straddles the Merdeka long weekend: Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Merdeka Day itself on Monday 31 August 2026. The second wave of Early Bird Deals starts on exactly that Monday.

The number nobody quotes is what a SOGO point is worth. SOGO's own rewards page states that you can redeem once you accumulate 2,000 points, and that 2,000 points equal RM10. That fixes a point at half a sen. Members earn 1 point per RM1 spent as standard, so the everyday rate is 0.5% back, and points expire within two years. Keep that conversion in your head, because everything below converts cleanly once you have it.

The points ladder, and the RM500 cliff

Three separate storewide offers are published for the sale, all at all four stores.

  • 5x Points on a single receipt of RM150 to RM499.99.
  • 10x Points on a single receipt of RM500 and above.
  • Double Points with a minimum daily spend of RM1,500, valid for a single receipt or accumulated same-day receipts.

Convert them and the ladder looks like this. A RM300 single receipt at 5x earns 1,500 points, which is RM7.50 - about 2.5% back. A RM500 single receipt at 10x earns 5,000 points, which is RM25 - about 5% back. A RM1,200 single receipt at 10x earns 12,000 points, which is RM60.

That produces a genuine cliff at RM500. A RM499 receipt earns 5x, or 2,495 points, worth RM12.48. Add one ringgit to reach RM500 and the multiplier doubles to 10x, or 5,000 points, worth RM25. One extra ringgit of spending is worth RM12.52 of points. If you are hovering anywhere near RM499 with two separate purchases in hand, ring them up together.

The double-points line is the one worth reading twice, because it is the only one of the three that accepts accumulated same-day receipts. The 5x and 10x tiers are both explicitly single-receipt only. So if your day at SOGO is four separate RM400 trips to four separate departments, the multiplier tiers do very little for you and the RM1,500 daily line is the one you are actually chasing. SOGO caps the tiers at 200,000 points per member per day and the double-points offer at 50,000 points per member per day, and it does not publish whether the two stack - if that matters to your basket, ask at the Customer Service Centre before you pay rather than after.

Two exclusions apply to all three: purchases from the Supermarket and from non-participating brands do not count, and members who have opted in for the Easy Payment Plan are entitled to SOGO base points only and forfeit every concurrent extra point. Paying a large purchase by instalment is therefore a direct trade - you keep your cash flow and you give up the 10x.

The RM30 beauty coupon runs on nine days, not thirteen

The Beauty Hall offer is a free RM30 coupon with every purchase of RM350 at Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, or a minimum purchase of RM300 at Shah Alam and Kuala Terengganu, from any cosmetics and/or fragrance brand.

The dates are the part that catches people. SOGO lists them as 25, 28 to 31 August 2026 and 4 to 6 September 2026. That is nine days out of thirteen. Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August are not coupon days, and neither are 1, 2 and 3 September. If the coupon is why you are going, those five days are wasted trips.

It has to be a single-receipt purchase at the Ground Floor Beauty Hall, and the exclusions are the usual ones with one that stings: Budget Cosmetics, Best Buy items, purchase-with-purchase items, coffret sets and purchases from tenanted counters are all out. Coffret sets are the boxed gift sets that get pushed hardest during a festive sale, so the quickest route to RM350 is frequently the one that disqualifies the receipt.

Ten Early Bird Deals, and how few of each there are

These are the real discounts, and they are gated behind a minimum purchase of RM180 in a single receipt, redeemed at the Customer Service Centre, one item per customer per day, first-come first-served, excluding tenanted counters and food and beverage outlets.

Wave one, 25 to 30 August 2026:

  • Michael Kors Sexy Amber EDP 100ml - RM134, normal price RM403. Units: 30 Kuala Lumpur, 20 Shah Alam, 10 Johor Bahru, 10 Kuala Terengganu.
  • MOSS powerbank - RM40, normal price RM119.90. Units: 40 / 20 / 20 / 10.
  • RCB Polo Club 16-inch luggage, dark grey and khaki - RM75 each, normal price RM609 each. Units: 100 / 30 / 40 / 30.
  • Monopoly Classic - RM30, normal price RM99.90. Units: 30 / 18 / 18 / 6.
  • GAABOR 3.5L air fryer, AF-35M02A - RM79, normal price RM139.90. Units: 30 / 10 / 15 / 5.

Wave two, 31 August to 6 September 2026:

  • Guy Laroche 480ml thermal flask - RM10, normal price RM39. Units: 100 / 30 / 40 / 30.
  • Nautica backpack, assorted - RM79 each, normal price RM199 each. Units: 40 / 20 / 15 / 15.
  • KIDICO scooter - RM30, normal price RM59. Units: 30 / 20 / 15 / 10.
  • Russell Taylors 1.5L multifunctional glass health pot, RK5 - RM89, normal price RM239.99. Units: 20 / 10 / 15 / 5.
  • Milux 16-inch stand fan, MSF-1653 - RM79, normal price RM178. Units: 30 / 10 / 15 / 5.

The luggage is the standout on both counts: roughly 88% off the normal price and the most plentiful item in the list. The air fryer, the health pot and the stand fan are the ones to arrive early for, with five units each at Kuala Terengganu and ten at Shah Alam. And because the limit is one item per customer per day rather than per sale, a shopper who is going to be nearby twice can legitimately take two different items on two different days.

Gifts, vouchers and the one allocation already gone

Beyond the early birds, SOGO publishes four more layers for the sale.

  • A 7-piece glass serving bowl set with tray, worth RM169, free for the first 500 members at Kuala Lumpur, 150 at Shah Alam, 250 at Johor Bahru and 100 at Kuala Terengganu, with a minimum purchase of RM600 in a single receipt. One gift per customer, choice of design subject to availability, tenanted counters excluded. SOGO's own listing already marks the Johor Bahru allocation as fully redeemed, which is a useful reminder of how fast these move.
  • RM20 vouchers for the first 350 (Kuala Lumpur), 140 (Shah Alam), 140 (Johor Bahru) and 70 (Kuala Terengganu) Maybank credit or charge cardmembers with a minimum spend of RM300.
  • RM20 vouchers for the first 650 (Kuala Lumpur), 260 (Shah Alam), 260 (Johor Bahru) and 130 (Kuala Terengganu) Maybank debit cardmembers, same RM300 threshold. Both voucher offers are one per cardmember, allow a maximum of two same-day receipts, exclude non-participating brands, and are redeemed at the Customer Service Centre.
  • A Members' Day Special mystery gift, redeemable at the Customer Service Counter from 25 August to 6 September 2026 simply by flashing your SOGO e-Card. There is also a set of Exclusive Purchase-With-Purchase Deals on selected reward items with a minimum spend of RM100, one item per receipt and a maximum of two gifts per member per day, excluding the Supermarket, tenanted counters and food and beverage outlets.

What replaced it: SOGO's live campaigns as of 7 September 2026

Members' Day is over, but SOGO's sale index did not go quiet with it. Read on 7 September 2026, it carries three Kuala Lumpur campaigns that started while Members' Day was still running and outlive it, plus five group-wide offers that were always set to run longer.

New at SOGO Kuala Lumpur

  • Warehouse Deals, Ground Floor Centre Atrium, SOGO Kuala Lumpur, 4 to 13 September 2026. This is the one to know about, because it is split into three date bands and only one is live at a time. 4 to 6 September gave a free RM15 coupon with a minimum purchase of RM200 - that band closed with Members' Day. 7 to 10 September is the band running now: a purchase-with-purchase of F&N Cordial Syrup 2L at RM7 against a normal price of RM13.50, or an assorted Perfume Inspired 30ml at RM17 each against a normal price of RM49 each, on a minimum purchase of RM150. 11 to 13 September switches again, to a free RM15 brand voucher on a minimum purchase of RM200. SOGO's terms say the purchase must be a single purchase from this promotion only, so the RM150 and RM200 thresholds have to come from the warehouse merchandise itself and not from your wider SOGO receipt. Redemption is at the counter in the Ground Floor Centre Atrium, while stocks last.
  • Luxasia Clearance Sale, 7th Floor Event Hall, SOGO Kuala Lumpur, 28 August to 8 September 2026 - two days left. This is the fragrance clearance that took the hall over from Fashion Hot Deals. SOGO lists the brands as Abercrombie & Fitch, Anna Sui, Coach, Chopard, DKNY, Elie Saab, Ferragamo, Hollister, Jimmy Choo, John Varvatos, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Lanvin, Montblanc, Rochas and Tommy Hilfiger. No ringgit figures are published for it - the page promises clearance prices while stocks last and stops there, so this is a go-and-look sale rather than a plan-around-it one.
  • RCB POLO Club Hot Deals, 7th Floor Event Hall, SOGO Kuala Lumpur, 28 August to 8 September 2026 - also two days left. A purchase-with-purchase RCBPC backpack, assorted, on a minimum purchase of RM150, and a free RM10 RCB POLO Club gift voucher on a minimum purchase of RM180 in a single receipt. One item per customer per day, first-come first-served, redeemed at the 7th Floor Event Hall counter. SOGO does not publish the backpack's purchase-with-purchase price on the page, which is the one number you would want before making the trip. Note the brand continuity, and the drop in generosity: RCB Polo Club is the same label whose 16-inch luggage went at RM75 against a normal RM609 as a Members' Day early bird. A RM10 voucher is a different order of offer entirely.

Still running group-wide

  • Merdeka Spend & Win, 14 August to 20 September 2026, all four stores. A minimum spend of RM69 in a single receipt enters you for one of ten prizes of a RM690 SOGO voucher plus 69,000 SOGO Reward Points. Tenanted counters and food and beverage outlets are excluded, each winner takes one prize only, and every entry must have a receipt attached. This is the cheapest way to keep getting something out of a SOGO receipt now that the points multipliers have gone.
  • Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Contest, 10 July to 16 September 2026, all four stores. A minimum RM150 single receipt earns an entry form from the Customer Service Centre or the contest QR code. Grand prize is a RM3,000 resort voucher for The Westin Desaru Coast in Johor plus a RM200 SOGO voucher; second prize is a 3D2N fullboard package for two at Tanjong Jara Resort in Terengganu, worth RM2,830; and there are four consolation Delsey Binalong Slim 55cm cabin trolley cases worth RM1,290 each. Six prizes are listed, and SOGO's terms still write the winner count as "THREE (8) winners" - re-read on 7 September 2026 and unchanged from August, so confirm at the Customer Service Centre if that matters to you.
  • Shop and Sweep with SOGO and Bank Islam, 24 July to 30 September 2026. A minimum RM100 single receipt earns two entries for Bank Islam Card-i cardmembers or one entry for everyone else, with 40 winners drawn. Winners do their sweep at SOGO Kuala Lumpur and pay their own travel. The trap is unchanged: purchases made using a Bank Islam Master Card-i are not eligible.
  • Atome x SOGO, 1 May to 31 December 2026, all stores: RM10 off with a minimum spend of RM150 and RM40 off with a minimum spend of RM400, at all Customer Service Centres and selected cashier counters, excluding the Supermarket, tenanted counters and food and beverage outlets. Interest applies to the 6-month plan.
  • Atome x SOGO for Singaporeans, SOGO Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru only, 1 August to 31 December 2026: 10% off with a minimum spend of S$100 on a single receipt, rebate capped at S$15, with a processing fee on the Pay in 6, 9 and 12 month plans.

Ended with, or before, Members' Day

These were live alongside the sale and are now off SOGO's index. They are listed here so that a guide quoting them in September is easy to spot as stale.

  • National Day Price Bonanza, 14 to 31 August 2026 - ended on Merdeka Day.
  • POLO Merdeka Savings at SOGO Kuala Lumpur, 24 August to 3 September 2026 - ended, three days before Members' Day did.
  • Fashion Hot Deals at the 7th Floor Event Hall, 19 to 27 August 2026 - ended, and the hall now holds the Luxasia and RCB POLO events above.

Who this is for, and who should skip it

Go if you have a big-ticket purchase already planned and can land it in one receipt above RM500 - that is where the 10x tier turns a purchase you were making anyway into roughly 5% back. Go if you buy cosmetics or fragrance in volume and can hit RM350 (or RM300 outside Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru) on one of the nine coupon days. Go if you want one of the early birds badly enough to be there when the Customer Service Centre opens, particularly at the two smaller stores where allocations run to single digits. And go if you hold a Maybank card, because the RM20 voucher costs nothing extra on a RM300 receipt you were going to spend anyway.

Skip it if your SOGO trip is a supermarket run - the Supermarket is excluded from the bonus points entirely. Skip it if you were planning to use the Easy Payment Plan, because that trades away every concurrent bonus point. Skip it if the brand you want sits at a tenanted counter, which is excluded from the beauty coupon, the gift with purchase, the Atome discount and both contests. And skip it if your basket is going to land under RM150, because below that threshold you are simply earning the ordinary 1 point per ringgit.

If you are not a member yet

Membership is free and runs through the MySOGO app on the Apple App Store or Google Play. SOGO's published sign-on rewards are 400 bonus points credited straight into your account, a RM5 e-Coupon for your first RM150 purchase, and within your first 7 days a further RM20 e-Coupon after that first RM150 purchase, redeemable against RM300 of spend. Silver is the entry tier and needs a minimum of RM250 a year to auto-renew; Gold starts at RM6,000 of annual spend and adds 6,000 bonus points, four RM50 rebate vouchers, six parking rebate vouchers and VIP lounge access; Platinum starts at RM12,000 and lifts those to 9,000 bonus points and six RM50 rebate vouchers.

The Members' Day page SOGO published all of this on has since been removed: www.sogo.com.my/blogs/sale/the-sogo-members-day-sale returns a 404 as of 7 September 2026, and the campaign is gone from SOGO's index. SOGO's live campaign list is at SOGO's sale index. Everything about the Members' Day Sale above was read from SOGO Malaysia's own website on 25 August 2026 while that page was still live; the replacement campaigns were read from the same index on 7 September 2026. SOGO reserves the right to amend terms without prior notice, and stocks and unit allocations move daily.
