The three tiers, exactly
Universal Traveller's Merdeka Special 69 collection page lays the sale out in three fixed price tiers — not a percentage-off sale:
- RM69 — one 20" case. Only two SKUs sit in this tier: URBANlite Sierra 20" Ivory and Terminal Prime 20" Dark Navy. The Sierra 20" lists at RM499 normally
- RM169 — any one 24" case. URBANlite Sierra 24", Gummy 24" or Rayer 24", normally RM578-RM598
- RM269 — a 20"+24" two-piece bundle. URBANlite Sierra, Rayer or Tron 2.0, normally RM1,096, and the only tier that adds an RM10 instant rebate and a free luggage tag
The RM269 bundle is the tier most people miss: it's two cases, not one, which is why it sits at the top of the price list despite being the steepest discount on paper.
How the RM69 drop actually works
This is the part worth getting right. The collection page states the rule plainly: 10 pcs daily, dropping at 12PM and 9PM. Each session is tied to one specific SKU — the URBANlite Sierra 20" Ivory listing is titled "13-19 Aug 12PM", and the Terminal Prime 20" Dark Navy listing is titled "13-19 Aug 9PM".
RM69 is a flash price, not a standing one. Checking the collection mid-afternoon on 15 August 2026, the 9PM SKU (Terminal Prime 20" Dark Navy) showed Sold Out, and the 12PM SKU (Sierra 20" Ivory) had reverted to its ordinary sale price of RM139, with a banner reading "Oops! You just missed this deal 👀 — Click here to check out our Merdeka Special 69 promo!"
So if you land on an RM69 product page and see RM139 or Sold Out, the deal hasn't ended — you've simply arrived between drops. Come back at the next 12PM or 9PM.
Dates
Universal Traveller's own RM69 product titles carry a 13-19 August 2026 range. A Malaysian deals aggregator (EverydayOnSales) dates the wider campaign 13-17 August. Since the brand's own listings are the more authoritative source and both RM69 SKUs agree on the 19th, we're planning around 19 August — but the RM169 and RM269 tiers carry no stated end date on the collection page at all, so treat those as "until they pull the page".
The catch
- The RM69 tier is realistically a two-shots-a-day race: 10 pieces, one SKU per session, and only two colourways in the whole tier
- Between drops the RM69 pages show their normal price or Sold Out — easy to mistake for the sale having ended
- The RM10 rebate and free luggage tag are confirmed only on the RM269 bundle tier, not on RM69 or RM169
- Whether Universal Traveller's physical outlets (Pavilion KL, Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid and others nationwide) match this pricing wasn't confirmed — treat it as an online-store promotion
Tips
- Set two phone alarms for 11.55am and 8.55pm and have the specific product page already open — a 10-piece drop does not survive a leisurely browse
- If you miss the RM69 drops, the RM169 24" tier is the better-value consolation: RM169 against a RM578-RM598 list price, with no session timing to beat
- Doing the maths, the RM269 bundle works out to roughly RM135 a case — cheaper per case than the RM169 single if you actually need two sizes
- Universal Traveller also sells via Atome, Lazada and Zalora, but those channels aren't confirmed to carry Special 69 pricing — stick to the official site
