Three Penang hotels have now published Deepavali buffets for 8 and 9 November 2026. PARKROYAL Penang Resort sells its RM188 dinner buy 1 free 1, Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City drops its RM128 lunch to RM88 if you dress in Indian festive wear, and M Social Resort Penang charges RM108 for lunch. Amari Johor Bahru ChomSindh Thai Menu (to 31 Oct 2026): RM188 Weekend Buffet, RM40 Lunch and RM118 Tea for Two
Amari Johor Bahru has a Thai chef from Amari Pattaya cooking at Amaya Food Gallery until 31 October 2026. The Friday and Saturday buffet is RM188 nett (not the RM118 quoted elsewhere), a semi-buffet lunch is RM40, and the TWG tea set is RM118 for two. Only four buffet nights are left.
Hyatt Regency Kuantan BBQ Buffet: RM142 E-Voucher Instead of RM178, Last Weekends to 31 October
Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort sells its Friday and Saturday beachfront BBQ buffet at Coals on the Beach for RM142 through its own e-store, 20% under the RM178 nett walk-in price and cheaper than the 10% Maybank card discount (RM160.20). The buffet and the voucher both end on 31 October 2026, which leaves four bookable nights: 23, 24, 30 and 31 October. The same store also has Tiger Prawn pasta and risotto at RM75, whole cakes at RM110 and F&B cash vouchers at 15-20% off.
The Waterfront Hotel Kuching Halloween Hi-Tea: RM89 Nett, Buy 10 Get 1 Free on 31 October
The Waterfront Hotel Kuching is running a one-afternoon Tricks & Treats Halloween hi-tea buffet at Café Via Mare on Saturday 31 October 2026, 1pm to 4pm. It costs RM89 nett an adult, RM70 a senior and RM45 a child aged 6 to 12, with a costume contest and kids' colouring contest. Ten paying adults get an 11th pass free. Booking is online only and non-refundable.

We read the live rate cards of six Kota Kinabalu hotel buffets on 19 September 2026, straight off each hotel's own page or booking channel. A weekend dinner buffet starts at RM98 nett an adult at Promenade Cafe and tops out at RM200 nett if you walk in unbooked to Shangri-La Tanjung Aru's Thursday Malam Kampung. Four things the headline price hides: only Shangri-La prices a walk-in separately, so booking ahead is worth RM22 a head; Hilton and The Pacific Sutera both give a fifth seat free; only two of the six say whether the 6% service tax is inside the number; and the child age band moves from 6 to 12 at one hotel to 7 to 11 at another.

6 Hotel Buffets in KL and the Klang Valley 2026: What They Cost Once You Decode Nett and ++
Two hotel buffets can advertise almost the same number and hand you bills RM26 apart. The reason is two characters at the end of the price. A buffet quoted at RM158++ is not RM158: Malaysian restaurants add a 10 per cent service charge, and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department charges 6 per cent service tax on food and beverage on top of that, so RM158++ settles at RM184.23. A buffet quoted at RM158 nett is RM158, full stop. We read the published rate cards of six hotels across Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Subang and the Golden Triangle on 28 August 2026, re-read every one on 25 October 2026, converted every ++ price into what the card machine will actually take, and lined up the child and senior rules, which no two hotels write the same way.
