Badminton Court Rates in KL and the Klang Valley 2026: RM12 Before Six, RM28 After, and RM80 for Air-Conditioning
We re-read the live rate cards of eight badminton centres across Setapak, Sentul, Kepong, Cheras, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Subang Jaya on 19 September 2026. A weekday morning hour costs RM12 at TT Sports Centre in PJ and RM25 at CPS Subang. After 6pm the same court more than doubles at most halls, to RM28 or RM30, and Lavana 3 in Kepong charges RM80 an hour for its air-conditioned court. Four things almost nobody prices in: the rate falls back to the daytime figure after midnight at four of the eight, a weekend evening is cheaper than a weekday evening, air-conditioning is half the price at CPS Subang than at Lavana 3, and only one hall on this list prints a service-tax line.

Four of the eight are charging promo prices with no published end date, and only two say whether 6% SST is on top. We re-read every rate card on 20 September and none had changed, and we added three more JB courts we had missed, one of which sells two outdoor daytime hours for RM40.

We read the live rate cards of eight pickleball operators across KL, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Cyberjaya on 13 September 2026. A weekday morning hour costs RM25 at P3 Courts in Kuchai Lama and a weekday evening RM70 at The Pickle Grounds, Hyprground's lounges and X Park. At least six of the eight say their prices exclude 6% SST, so a RM70 court is RM74.20 at checkout. Both promos have been extended, re-read on 20 October 2026: The Pickle Fence still halves weekend rates (Pro court RM32.50) and Hyprground still prices weekday daytime courts at RM35, both until 31 October. X Park now sells a Tuesday-to-Friday evening two-hour block for RM120.

We read the rate card of every Perak golf club that publishes one, on 11 September 2026. A weekday 18 holes with a buggy costs RM71.40 at Teluk Intan and RM458.60 at Meru Valley, a spread of more than six times inside one state. Kinta Golf Club publishes the clearest all-in card at RM102, Damai Laut sells only packages from RM116 nett, Clearwater's fee page still quotes GST, and Royal Perak has taken its rate card down. Meru Valley's RM200 Swing Into Malaysia Day round runs on weekdays until 30 September; re-checked on 22 September, no rate has changed and Meru has posted nothing for October yet.
Putrajaya's Parks and Sports Facilities 2026: The Netball Court Is Free, a Football Field on a Holiday Night Is RM200
Perbadanan Putrajaya publishes an hourly rate card for its Taman Pancarona sports complex, and it settles a question most Klang Valley councils never answer in public. A sepak takraw court is RM2 an hour in daylight. A netball field is free, all day, every day, with no night rate at all because there are no lights. A football field is RM70 in the day, RM140 at night and RM200 on a public holiday night, which is nearly three times the daytime price. We also read the council's own opening-hours page for each park on 22 September 2026: every Perbadanan Putrajaya park closes on Monday for maintenance, the rental counters shut for lunch even while the parks stay open, and one park that Google has no venue record for at all sells a guided trail from RM15. Behind the same council's park pages sits a second, quieter rate card: guided park visits from RM10 a head.

We tested each one in a guest cart. None of them prints an end date, and they do not stack with each other.

A weekday round in the Klang Valley is quoted at anything from RM178.20 to RM510 depending on which club you ask, and the quoted number is rarely the number you pay. Five of the eight clubs here publish a visitor rate on their own site, Saujana prices only corporate packages, KLGCC books visitors through a sign-up portal, and Royal Selangor does not take public visitors. The gap between the headline and the bill is almost always the caddy. We re-read every club's rate page on 25 October 2026: Seri Selangor now runs a RM198 Year-End PM special with a sharing caddy included until 31 December, Glenmarie's Merdeka rate has ended, and Palm Garden is still charging RM250 nett on weekdays while its course is under maintenance.
